Cat & Dog Care, Mandarin-Friendly
English and Mandarin friendly!🤩 Hi, I’m Serena! I do pet care full-time, and my husband Peter, who works fully remote, helps as well when he’s available. While we are home most of the time, we are not able to provide 24/7 constant supervision. We’re located in Central Houghton. For meet & greets, we usually meet at Everest Park or a nearby park that’s convenient for you. You’re also welcome to ask questions and meet our golden retriever, Google, during the meet & greet. We care for pets of all ages, personalities, and needs. Whether your pet is a playful pup, a shy kitty, or a senior who needs extra attention, we provide patient, personalized care to help them feel safe, loved, and comfortable. We’re happy to follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding instructions, medication, potty breaks, playtime, and quiet rest. For safety and comfort, we ask that boarding dogs be crate trained, as crates may be used during meal times, rest time, or when dogs need a calm space to decompress. Please let us know about any allergies, medical needs, dietary restrictions, or anything special we should be aware of. To help us plan our schedule and give every pet the best care, we kindly ask clients to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times with us in advance. Please be on time, or let us know ahead of time if you need to reschedule. An ETA is always appreciated so we can plan our day, meals, and rest time accordingly. For privacy reasons, we’re unable to share details about other clients’ pets staying with us. We also do not offer teeth brushing services, but you’re welcome to bring dental treats or dental chews, and we’re happy to give them at no extra cost. Our goal is to make every pet feel at home while giving owners peace of mind.

I am a veterinarian by training and having left my dog with Yun-Chun & Ao-Chang Hsing for 10 days, I would NEVER recommend leaving your dogs in their care - even for daytime walks. They are not observant, don't understand what is safe dog behavior, nor are they professional about communication or remedies. My dog was boarded at their home for 10 days and she sustained an actively bleeding tail tip injury 4 days from pickup. I was never notified about the injury despite the daily photo updates having actually shown the injury. But because photos were awful perspective, blurry, or didn't show her tail, I didn't pay much attention (no news is good news as they say). At time of pick-up, I noticed pretty immediately and brought the injury up with the sitter to which she replied that she never noticed the injury despite the end of my dog's tail being bright red (on a mostly white tail). It was as "red flag" of an injury as could be and generally speaking, tail tip injuries will leave walls painted in red due to the dog wagging their tail and splattering blood on the walls. The fact that the sitter said she didn't notice means one of three things: 1) my dog was kenneled outside instead of inside the home; 2) the sitter is lying and did notice the injury but didn't tell me about it; and/or, 3) the sitter is just that unobservant that even a visually obvious injury went unreported and untreated. Mind you, I was very cordial about the whole issue in person, more inquisitive than upset. I took injury photos on-site and submitted them via chat before leaving and the sitter said they would document everything on their end and submit to Rover. The following day the sitter blocked me (confirmed by Rover)! No follow up on how my dog was doing nor what the compensation/remedy would be. Just blocked out of the blue. True unprofessional. I had also bathed my dog before dropping my dog off for the 10 days. Upon pickup I immediately took my dog home to bathe and address her tail injury. Her shower water ran very brown from being so dirty. I.e. she was in an environment she should not have been with her open tail injury. For $75/night boarding which is on the high side, I expected above average care.

Thanks Yun-Chun for the care during the 5-day stay! It’s Yumi’s first time being away from me for such a long time and she obviously had a good time there! Yun-Chun sends pictures and updates which is always a pleasure seeing the pups having a good time.

Yun-Chun and Ao-Chang were absolutely amazing and took great care of my Frenchie Dodo. They were also very accommodating, as I was used to thinking my dog was a snoozer and turned out he was much more active during the stay Thank you!

Yun-Chun took great care of our boys! She sent plenty of pictures and updates so we knew they were well taken care of.

Great communication and service! We received pictures of our cat every day. Very satisfied!

Finn had a blast! Will be booking again.

Schedule
Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine as I’m doing Rover full-time, with my husband also working from home. This gives me the flexibility to offer consistent and attentive care throughout the day. We also have a large backyard where your pets can play and get plenty of exercise. *Most of our exercise time happens in our large, secure backyard — lots of sniffing, exploring, and playtime while being fully supervised. *For new or anxious dogs, we usually start with yard time only until they settle in.
