“Sheena took great care of my dog, Uno. She handled introductions between Uno and her own dog really well. She updated me with photos, and Uno looked like he was having a great time. It was clear he was in good hands and well cared for. I’d definitely recommend Sheena to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive dog sitter.”

“Rochelle was fantastic! She sent regular updates, took excellent care of our pup, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. Our dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we picked her up. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Rochelle again!”

“Sreymom and her family are excellent caretakers. They understood that Axel prefers to stay with people rather than dogs, and accommodated his needs - very knowledgeable on the husky breed. He’s also on steroids so he has to be taken out more frequently than not. I know it wasn’t easy taking care of him, and Sreymom was excellent at being accommodating, patient, and understanding. He came home a very tired, peaceful, and happy boy. I will definitely book again, and highly recommend her to anyone! :)”

“Loic, Kristen, and their kids took amazing care of our dog while we were away for 10 days! They were communicative and responsible and our dog had a amazing stay with them - lots of exercise, play time, and snuggles. We would wholeheartedly recommend them and would definitely use them again in the future!”

“Yingqi was outstanding. Very communicative sending photos and videos and took excellent care of our dog. I felt comfortable knowing that she was in great hands and my dog looked really happy being there. Would definitely book again!”

“This was our first time using Rover, and Elan was absolutely amazing with Yoda while we were out of town for 6 days. She provided regular picture updates, and you could genuinely tell he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. The last couple times we used traditional kennel boarding, Yoda came home very depressed and stressed. This experience was completely different. With Elan, it truly felt like he was staying with family. We came home to a happy dog, and that gave us so much peace of mind while traveling. We would absolutely trust her with Yoda again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring and dependable.”

“Dacya took great care of my bundle of energy! She sent many photo updates to let me know how Oatmeal was doing. Oatmeal seemed very happy during the stay. Hopefully she will be available the next time I have to leave for work.”

“Stephanie is so helpful that my two poodles love and feel so comfortable during their first stay! She sent me pictures and update their behaviors everyday and i will definitely book with her for their next stay!”

“Our Sophie didn't have much experience staying with non-family members but Joyce was so good with her and very patient, I didn't worry. We really appreciated Joyce helping Sophie feel safe and secure at her house while we were away.”

“Watched my senior dog (14.5 years old) for 11 days. She requires medication, is partially blind, and deaf. Fiona sent pictures and video updates while I was on vacation. I was nervous about leaving her, but relaxed after seeing the updates. I would book with Fiona again.”

“Julie was absolutely amazing and made my dog feel at home while I was out of town. She sent lots of pictures and videos to keep me updated. When I came to pick him up she even included a new toy that my dog had become obsessed with during his stay! I have nothing but great things to say about Julie! I know where my pup will stay from here on out!”

“Ana and her family are incredibly caring and understanding, even when we ran into some issues with our older dog. I’d recommend her to anyone! Thanks so much!”

“This was our first time boarding our dog with Shon. Super smooth with site visit, going over the process/rules and our dog Mina had a enjoyable boarding with Shon. She was well taken care of, and Shon was very prompt with communication. Will definitely repeat!”

“Arly was wonderful. She sent updates and pictures each day or any time I texted her. My kitties aren't great in new spaces so they didn't fully warm up to her but she knew all the tricks to try to get the kitties to eat or to come out. One of my cats decided that she needed to lay in the laundry and Arly just let her. I will definitely be hiring her again the next time I need my kitties watched. Thank you Arly 😍😻😻”

“Ling was very caring and sweet with Juno. She also sent lots of photos and videos which made me feel at ease since this was Juno’s first time staying with a stranger. I will definitely book with Ling again!”

“Karina was very nice and communicative….. she took really good care of my Oreo, he came home very happy. I Would highly recommend her to care for your dog.”

“Luke had the best time at Sarah and Lamin’s place. He came back happy and tired from all the playing he did with the other dogs. We are so glad to have found them and look forward to boarding him with them again.”

“Kyle did a wonderful job taking care of my dog. I was a little nervous to leave my dog with someone over 4th of July as she gets anxious with the fireworks. Kyle did a frat job of keeping me updated!”

“We left our 11 weeks old puppy for a day with Jenny and her family and are really happy with our experience. Jenny provided regular updates on text with photos. Would recommend.”

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! I did not worry about my baby the whole trip. I got regular updates and Henry went above and beyond. The moment we got there we were treated like family instead of a client. I will definitely be booking again after this extraordinary experience. Usually on a review individuals look for the cons in the situation, for the first time ever, I can’t complain about anything. 😀

Cindy was fantastic with Frisko! She followed all care instructions, always replied promptly, and provided wonderful daily updates with lots of photos. It was clear she really understands dogs. Frisko has some separation anxiety and dog reactivity, and she handled everything with complete ease and care. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking with her again!

Julie is wonderful. She was relaxed and comfortable with my dog right away which put me at ease. She took great care of my little guy and he was tired out and very happy after his first stay. Julie was very easy to communicate with and sent picture updates each day which was such a nice touch. We booked our next stay with her right away!

Eva was absolutely wonderful—I am still pinching myself that we found her! It felt like the happiest and safest environment for our little senior dachshund. He definitely has his quirks, and Eva was so caring and kind in her care for him. She checked in regularly and was an absolute joy to work with—would absolutely recommend her to all!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
