“Xuemei was easy to deal with and she treated Peppi like he was her own dog. It must be a match made in heaven because Peppi got along so well with her dog, Lily. Xuemei frequently updates me of Peppi’s activities by sending me photos and videos of Peppi walking, eating and just lounging around her house. Without a doubt, I will book her again to look after Peppi.”

“Ketaki is absolutely wonderful and so great with pets! She kept me updated throughout the stay by sending plenty of photos and videos multiple times a day, which showed my little one having a fabulous time playing and having fun. She is very gentle, friendly, and provided such a positive experience. I will definitely book with her again whenever I need a sitter!”

“Dropped Milo for the first time in years with someone he didn’t know, not to mention in an environment he had never been to. Travis greeted us with a smile and took Milo inside to spend the day with him. I received frequent updates (including pics) which made me feel at ease knowing that my fur baby was in good hands. He cared for him like he was his own, he had full reign of all his favorite areas….sofa and on Travis’ lap :). When I came to pick him up he seemed very calm and happy. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend them for any of your needs.”

“Joyce was calm, caring, communicative, flexible, and made my pup feel like part of the family. I was provided updates and photos, and Dublin really welcomed my dog during his time. The space is clean and large and plenty of engagement and attention is given. I will be using Joyce's services again!”

“Serena and Peter took care of Hunter really well! The photo updates they provided made me comfortable about how my dog was doing. Also, their space has plenty of room for dogs to roam around. I highly recommend them!”

“Stephanie was an absolute gem with our pup Apollo! She was very attentive and caring and sent us regular updates. We would definitely recommend her to our friends!”

“Nokta has a genuine desire to get to know my dog Peppi before agreeing to look after him. During our meet and greet, i also got to meet her dog, Rain. I loved that both Rain and Peppi got along so well so I booked for her services. She was lovely to interact with and Peppi loved being with her. She made sure Peppi ate the dinner I gave to her. Overall, I had a positive experience having her look after Peppi. I hope she continues to look after pets.”

“Sreyrom did a great job with our husky mix. When we left him for a whole day he came back well-exercised and tired, and when we left him with Sreyrom for an evening he took a good nap. He can be quite anxious, but Sreyrom made sure he felt comfortable.”

“Shelbee had a wonderful time at Hitoe’s home with Biscuit. She took her on lots of walks, and although Shelbee usually doesn’t eat much, I was initially worried—but she made sure to give her food and water regularly, and Shelbee finished everything before coming home. I also really appreciated the consistent updates and how thoughtfully she answered all my questions. I would absolutely love to book with her again!”

“Jam was so accommodating to our last minute request and made our pup feel so comfortable! We couldn’t ask for a more comforting experience or sitter for our dog while traveling! Thank you!!”

About: I work remotely with a flexible schedule. I have had dogs in our family ever almost 20 years. Our family dogs passed away recently and we don’t plan to adopt another one. So hopefully Rover can help me with my craving for spending time with furry friends! My home is a spacious, dog-friendly house with a large covered deck and a fully fenced backyard. We’re also in a walkable neighborhood close to parks and walking trails, so there are plenty of opportunities for fresh air and daily walks. Dogs aren’t just “clients” to me — they become part of the family while they’re here. They’re welcome to relax on the couch, enjoy the backyard, and settle into a comfortable home environment. I’m also happy to follow your routines and house rules so your dog feels as comfortable and secure as possible. After many years of caring for dogs, I’m comfortable getting to know different personalities and helping dogs feel safe and settled in a new environment. I’m especially patient with senior dogs and understand that every dog has different needs and routines. I also have two wonderful pre-teen boys who have grown up with animals. They have very special bond with dogs, and they often seek them out first when they arrive. Both kids contribute to caring for our furry friends. Because I share 50/50 custody with my ex-husband, there are many days when it's just me at home caring for the dogs. Whether my children are home or not, My goal is simple: for your dog to feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. ❤️ I take the dogs for two walks each day—one in the morning and one in the evening. Since I work from home, pet care seamlessly fits into my routine. The dogs spend their day with me, usually relaxing by my desk or following me around the house. They’re part of my daily life, not just being watched. I take regular breaks to let them outside, play, and give them affection. If you prefer they stay only in my fully fenced backyard, I can accommodate that. My days start early and end late, ensuring the dogs get a final potty break before bed and one first thing in the morning. Your dog's safety and happiness are my top priorities! My home features: - A large, fully fenced backyard - Clean and comfortable lawn with professional landscape services year-round - Security cameras around the property - Constant supervision throughout the day - Dogs are never left unattended outside. - I typically care for only one or a few compatible dogs at a time, allowing for close monitoring of their interactions. I: - Carefully introduce new dogs - Supervise playtime - Separate meals when necessary - Pay close attention to each dog's personality and comfort level - Dogs thrive when they feel like part of a family, spending time inside the house with me rather than being isolated. - I accommodate sleeping preferences, whether it’s in a crate, on their own bed, or in bed with people. 🔔 **Private Stays** - Some families prefer their dog to be the only guest in my home. - I offer exclusive stays whenever my schedule allows, which incurs an additional fee as it means I cannot accept other bookings during that time. - Feel free to ask if you're interested in this option
“It was a great experience to have a day boarding for my Dog June with Christina. She was very responsive, updated us with pictures and videos and followed all her care instructions really well. June came back happy. I would highly recommend her!”

Sandra helped us out so much by accepting our request for a full day of doggy daycare at the last minute. We appreciate her help so much! The pictures she sent of our dog were so cute, and he looked like he was having a great time. When we picked him up he was not as stressed or anxious as he has been with some other sitters. Appreciated her clear communication too. Thank you Sandra!

Jana and Levi were great! Shaytun had a wonderful day with them and got to play, rest and walk. Jana is a lovely person, clearly loves dogs and having dog visitors, and I felt totally confident leaving my dog with her. Shaytun seemed completely happy when I picked him up, so we will definitely have him stay with Jana again.

Kellie is a responsive sitter who I could rely on to look after Peppi. She sent me photos of Peppi and I love seeing how he gets along well with her family. I’m pleased to know that Peppi was happy spending time with her (she told me that Peppi was lying or sitting beside them and pawing them when they stop rubbing him. Overall, I had a good experience with them looking after Peppi.

Akansha was terrific in all aspects of our booking with her! She communicated proactively and always responded quickly to our messages, and our dog clicked with her caring and warm personality when he first met her. She sent regular updates throughout the day and made us feel comfortable trusting her with our precious pup! We will definitely be booking with her again.

Joyce was calm, caring, communicative, flexible, and made my pup feel like part of the family. I was provided updates and photos, and Dublin really welcomed my dog during his time. The space is clean and large and plenty of engagement and attention is given. I will be using Joyce's services again!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
