“She was lovely and flexible! My dog had never been boarded before and it went beautifully. Then, when my flight got canceled she was willing to extend his stay.”

“Myriam is an amazing dogsitter!! Sallie can be shy with new people and Myriam was understanding and worked hard to make her feel comfortable. I got fun updates throughout the stay and Myriam took Sallie on a bunch of adventures. Myriam is a true dog lover and I cannot recommend her enough. We will definitely be rebooking!!”

“Janet is awesome! She watched my 10 month old puppy and did an excellent job with him. I also chose her because she had good communication and sent me daily photos with fun captions. My puppy also enjoyed his time there and didnt want to leave haha”

“Jessica was the perfect pup sitter for our little Carl! We received frequent updates and beautiful photos each day. Communication was quick, clear and timely, and pickup and drop off was super easy. We were so happy knowing Carl was having such a relaxing and enjoyable time with Jessica and we would highly recommend!”

“Thank you so much for helping us out in such a pinch and also for being such an incredible friend to our pups. We can get nervous every time we need to go out of town hoping our dogs will do well and we can tell they thrived with you. Thanks for taking care of them! Will be back again”

“Mengyuan and Matt are great sitters. I could tell by my dog’s mood in the days following that she was happy and cared for and seemed in great spirits. I left my baby with them for 10 nights and I can’t thank them enough for helping me have peace of mind while away for that long. This was my second experience with Mengyuan and I would absolutely recommend!”

“Jana and her family have been an absolute gift. Summer is a very reserved, apprehensive little dog who has never stayed in someone else's home before, so I was understandably nervous. From the moment we met, Jana and her family were patient, gentle, and took the time to earn Summer's trust rather than expecting it. They cared for her as if she were their own, and I had complete peace of mind knowing she was safe, comfortable, and in such a calm, loving home while our house was filled with the chaos of repairs, packing, and moving. Summer came home happy and relaxed, and I've already booked Jana again for several more stays. I couldn't recommend her more highly.”

“Megan took great care of Tiny! She was attentive, sent great updates (loved the videos of her playing!), and had no issue distributing her eye ointment. Her two doggos are sweetie pies - I highly recommend Megan and will be using her again in the future! Thank you for taking such great care of my special girl 💓”

“My dog and I reviewed a few different options and went with Jalen reading about the energy and keeping things going smoothly, no stress for anyone. I think it was the right choice, I believe Jalen had good interactions with Mia (my westie) and Jalen's dog also was sweet and chill, a nice vibe to leave our dog at their place. Not much more to add, probably on the personal, introverted side all of three of them, so Mia that tends to do well with others but is on the shy side, probably adapted well to them and had a nice 10 day stay. I would not hesitate to contact Jalen again in the future and can recommend Jalen B if you are looking for someone to take care of your dog. Thanks!”

“Zoni is the best and she was amazing watching my dog mylo! I would trust her with my pet anytime! She sent daily pictures and updates on how he was doing and their walks together. She had so many new toys for him to play with too which was really awesome! Zoni was great and I would love for her to watch mylo again soon :)”

About: I’ve always enjoyed having dogs around and regularly care for my friend’s Lab when they need a sitter. I’ve also helped care for dogs through Rover in the past with my ex, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, routines, walks, feeding, and lots of attention. I genuinely enjoy the company of dogs and want every pup staying with me to feel comfortable, safe, and at home. My schedule is currently very flexible, so I’m home most of the day and can give your dog plenty of attention and company. Aside from going to the gym, grocery shopping, or running occasional errands, I’m usually at home. I’m available throughout the week and can easily accommodate regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and potty breaks. I want every dog in my care to feel comfortable and at home. I follow their usual feeding, walking, and potty schedules as closely as possible and make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and rest. For walks, I always keep dogs securely leashed and pay close attention to their behavior and surroundings. I’m also happy to follow any specific routines or instructions you have for your pup.
“Michael was an amazing sitter for my dog and communicator for me!! We had a last minute schedule change and were traveling to Seattle unexpectedly. Michael was so helpful and accommodating to make this work with less notice than usual! He was prompt and communicative sending me pictures of Sox updates along the way. His dog Ellie was very chill and seemed to get along with Sox great. I definitely would (and will!) work with Michael again!”

“Ramon took good care of Zoey. He helped us out in a last minute booking request. He was responsive and flexible with booking. Also, he allowed us to pick up our dog a little early as well. He sent photos and updates when I reached out to him. I really liked that he took Zoey for walks everyday so your pup will get some exercise.”

“Nicolas took care of my 13+ year of senior dog Dobby for 2 days and he had a wonderful time. Dobby is very anxious and Nicholas paid extra attention to him and kept me updated constantly and also checked in when Dobby cried and didnt eat too much for the first couple hours there. Dobby has high needs and I appreciate all the attention to detail Nicolas has and I would book him again.”

“Sharon and Akira very kindly helped us out last minute! They were extremely communicative and friendly, and sent lots of pictures. Yucca did great with them—got lots of walks! Highly recommend :)”

About: I’m a caring and responsible pet owner who understands how important it is to have someone you can trust with your dog. I have a 2-year-old dog that I’ve raised since birth, so I have hands-on experience with puppy care, feeding schedules, potty training, basic commands, walks, playtime, and creating a consistent daily routine. When caring for your pet, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Depending on the service, I can provide walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, companionship, and plenty of attention and affection. I’m also happy to follow any specific instructions you have regarding your pet’s routine, training, feeding, or other needs. Pet care is already a natural part of my everyday life, and I understand that every dog has their own personality, energy level, and preferences. I’m patient with younger dogs who may need extra supervision and consistency, while also being attentive to dogs who prefer a calmer pace. I take communication and reliability seriously and will do my best to keep you updated so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is in good hands. Most importantly, I’ll treat your dog with the same patience, kindness, and care that I give my own. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine because I have a 2-year-old dog of my own. I’m used to planning my day around feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and giving plenty of attention. Caring for pets fits naturally into my schedule, and I’m comfortable making sure each dog gets the time, exercise, and care they need throughout the day. I care for every pet by following their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable. I make sure they have fresh water, meals on schedule, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention and affection. I also follow any special instructions from the owner, including feeding preferences, medications, or training routines.
“I trust that my dog had a great time at Ruslana’s! Ruslana has been open and transparent from the beginning about how the care will be given, and has been sharing pictures throughout the stay. She added dog park visits during the stay. She and her husband are genuinely caring and loving for dogs, that can be witnessed from the pictures and words shared! Would come back again!”

“The literal perfect sitter! Egor was incredibly communicative about our dog's stay with him, and provided tons of photos of our pup enjoying his time with him and his pup. Our dog can be an anxious buddy, but Egor took everything in stride and really understands anxious dogs on a deeper level and showed only compassion and kindness towards our dog. I couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter.”

“Adam took absolutely wonderful care of Nikita! She had a great time with him and settled right in. Such an added bonus that he loves huskies and their quirky personalities also! Adam is excellent to communicate with and shared plenty of updates and pics. Will definitely book again!”

“Emily was excellent with our dog and great to work with. Her excellent communication skills made us feel at ease throughout her time with her. She appeared knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to ensure her comfort at all times. As a senior dog, her presence was reassuring, and it gave us peace of mind knowing that she was in capable hands. I highly recommend Emily and would definitely book her again for future stays. .”

Tiffany is the best!! She took such good care of Kafka and Rumi, gave them ton of love and affection!! I know my dogs can be a lot and very crazy at times, she was super patient with them, with my lengthy care instructions and helped me keep up the leash walk training during the stay! She shared many updates throughout the day, lots of cute pictures and videos, it really warms my heart to see my doggos snuggle with her and having a great time. I was originally very nervous about boarding my dogs, but she’s so friendly, loving and responsible! Im so grateful to have her help!

Aurora was amazing! She kept me updated throughout the entire stay and made me feel comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. She was very attentive, reliable, and took great care of Blanco. I really appreciated the updates and would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!

Ada took amazing care of my dog!!! She was sending me lots of updates and photos during his stay with her, which were very much appreciated. I could tell she was extremely loving to him and spoiled him with attention the whole time! When I came to pick him up, I was impressed by how happy and relaxed he was. I could tell that he had a great time with her. I will definitely book with Ada again when I have another work trip!

I really appreciated how flexible and accommodating she was, even though I had to change the time several times. She also sent me photos of my dog throughout the stay, which gave me peace of mind knowing that he was doing well. I’m very grateful for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and great care!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
