Hi! I’m your dog’s new best friend. I am a long time pet owner but unfortunately, my beloved shih tzu passed away two years ago. Now, I’m grateful to welcome others’ animals into my home, where they will feel like they’re on vacation. I volunteered at a no kill animal shelter for several years, where I learned to care for dogs with a variety of personalities. I am detail-oriented and will love your dog as if they were my own.

Darcy did an excellent job of taking care of my 2 dogs, cat, and house while I was gone for 7 days. My pets were happy and healthy when I got home. Darcy had no problem managing my senior dog who takes several medications. She took the dogs for walks and provided cute photos of all of them in her daily report that she provided me. Her communication is quick and clear which increased by confidence and trust in her. She did a great job! My dogs and cat are excited to see her again next time!

Schedule
I work from home four days a week and can be home as needed on weekends so I have plenty of time to be present for dogs staying with me. For my in-office day, I’m typically only gone for around 6 hours.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a spacious studio to accommodate up to two dogs (from the same household only). Dogs will be allowed to roam the living room and kitchen area during the day. I live ten minutes from a park and can take the dog for walks twice a day. For pets that stay a bit longer or come on the weekends, we can go to the dog park or on hikes (with owner approval).
A typical day
We will go on walks (30 min to 1 hour) twice a day, including at least one walk in the park. Dogs that stay for more than three days will be taken to the dog park or on a hike (with owners approval).
