“Thank you Lena! I was able to relax on my vacation knowing you were taking great care of my Mochi and Lyla! Like the first time, my family and I appreciated all your communications — photos, videos and replies to our questions! We felt comfortable leaving our senior pup with you because of your experience with aging dogs, including administering their medications. Perhaps most importantly, your calm, loving demeanor puts both me and my dogs at ease! Thank you for another great dog sitting experience.”

“Janin took very good care of Mitsu while we were away. Super nice yard for Mitsu to run around and play with other furry friends. It is like a mini vacation for our dog too! Simply amazing!”

“We’re so glad we found Natalia to take care of our cat and dog while we’re away to visit family. She’s responsive and was sending photos and videos to let us know how they’re doing. My pets were so happy when I picked them up. We’ll definitely use her again in the future.”

“Suk and her family took such great care of Bobo! They gave Bobo so much love and attention! I could tell he really enjoyed his visit! Will definitely be booking Suk again! Thank you!”
“Giovanna was amazing! This was a daycare visit to see if Addison would do well ahead of a long weekend stay and everything went great! So much so, I might have developed a complex when she didn't want to go home woth me after, lol. I got a bunch of pictures and videos, and in all of them Addison looked to be enjoying herself. Thank you so much for being so welcoming and taking such good care of her!”

“Zhaoli took amazing care of Jasper! Took him for walks multiple times a day and kept sending his pictures. She was accommodating enough to even extend the stay by one more night and went above and beyond to make it convenient. I would totally recommend her!”

“Sammy must have had a great time at their place, as he was super tired at the end of the day and slept through whole night without any more play time or treats. Note: Sammy is a high energy dog and doesn’t get tired easily. He does 4-5 mile walks everyday and still needs more play time. Another thing to note about Sammy: he has a tendency to mark at new places. We specifically gave bellybands with him. But somehow they managed to keep him off bellybands and off marking their place. Which is amazing! Sammy will definitely visit them again many times, and I can’t recommend them enough! Thank you Xiaoshan & Xiuli for taking care of Sammy!”

“We have had a wonderful experience leaving Barney with Shon and his family. He comes back happy, well-exercised and cared for. We are repeat clients for Shon and can't imagine leaving Barney anywhere else for our out of town trips.”

“Ivonne and Julio cared for our dog, Charlie, while we were away on a two-week vacation. She sent daily updates with photos and videos, which gave us great peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. I highly recommend her.”

“Bruno really enjoyed his stay with Soma in her huge backyard! Soma kept us updated and would communicate any issues. She would send us pictures of Bruno playing catch which is my dogs absolute fave. I’d def take Bruno back. Thanks Soma!”

“Cary took really good care of my dog the 2 days he stayed with her. The communication was constant and he sent me pictures of my dog (who seemed really happy by the way). I would definitely recommend Cary as a pet sitter or pet walker. He's a really nice person and for sure a pet lover. Thank you Cary!!!”

“Thanks Garima for sitting Spud again! I appreciate you bringing me daily updates and pictures. I was super confident during my vacations that my dog was with the right people. Spud will miss you for sure but there will be a next time soon!”

“Tunyi was awesome!!! Our pup loved her and her family. Sent us texts and videos the entire time while we were gone and we just knew Flo was being loved on❤️”

“Ziting was a caring and attentive sitter. She administered eye drops regularly for my corgi and made her feel right at home. I don't think my dog wanted to leave Ziting and her family! Thanks for doing a wonderful job.”

“Diesel had a wonderful time with Karina and her lovely doggo. It was nice to know that he had a friend and family around him to keep him company. Karina sent regular photos and videos. Karina is great and we’ll definitely use her again. 🐶 🤗”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sammamish
We had a wonderful experience boarding our cat with Liubov. The communication was excellent from start to finish, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We absolutely loved receiving the photo updates - our cat looked happy and incredibly relaxed in every single picture. It’s clear Liubov truly care about cats. We will definitely be booking again!

Bryan was a fantastic sitter for us. He stayed at our home while we were gone. We have 2x 30lb dogs, one who is resource focused (food, toys) which means you need to keep an eye on her and tiring her out (and this girl could run for days). Bryan did multiple long walks with her while we were gone, kept her (kiddie) pool refilled and fresh, and sent daily updates of them and how great they were doing. When we got back, the house was clean, he washed and replaced the sheets on the bed, washed his towels- very much above and beyond! I highly recommend Bryan and intend to rebook him in the future.

Romy was amazing! She’s so personable and truly understands how hard it is for dog parents to leave their fur babies. Our almost one-year-old, Allie, was so well cared for, and the regular updates gave us complete peace of mind during our trip. Leaving Allie with Romy was the best decision we never had to worry for a second. We highly recommend her!

This was our first time using Rover, and we could not be more pleased with the care and attention Sarah gave our fur baby! Sarah was quick with responses and great with communication. We appreciated her regular 'pupdates' while we were gone, including fantastic photos. We will definitely be booking again with her!

Laura was fantastic with Oreo! She was very accommodating when we needed to make changes to our pickup and drop-off times, which made the whole experience stress-free. Her fenced backyard provides plenty of safe space for dogs to run around and play. Laura also has a sweet, friendly French Bulldog, and Oreo immediately took a liking to both Laura and her dog. It was clear from the start that Laura and her family genuinely love animals—they have several pets and are very comfortable caring for them. Throughout Oreo's stay, Laura sent timely updates and photos that were incredibly reassuring and helped us feel connected while we were away. Oreo looked happy, relaxed, and right at home. We were so pleased with the experience that we've already booked another stay with Laura. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and pet-loving sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
