“One of the best dog sitters I’ve ever had the pleasure to use! Zappy followed care instructions precisely, and the girls were well taken care of. Better than just well taken care of, she by far exceeded any expectations. The girls got so much attention and love that I was pretty sure they wouldn’t want to come home. Definitely wouldn’t hesitate to leave my dogs with her in the future. In fact, I’m sure my dogs will demand it! 😁”

“Elena and Yuri were great to Tuck and easy to work with. They were flexible on times, asked great questions, kept me informed, and I could tell they really cared about my dog. Will definitely use them again.”

“Sammy loves going to Xiaoshan and Xiuli’s place. He loves many walks and playing with toys. Despite being high energy, he always comes back tired and happy.”

“Thanks Garima for taking care of Spud! I have received updates with pictures and with details on how everything was going on his first visit to Garima's house.Garima is very responsive and pay attention to every detail. Until the next time!”

“Janin’s home was the perfect place for our border collie to stay while we were away. She was very communicative sending photos everyday along with updates on how he was doing. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and fun home!”

“Ryan took great care of Lizzy for my last minute short trip! He sent updates, and checked in on a few things to make sure everything was great. Lizzy was very happy and had a hard time leaving! She especially loved enjoying the backyard.”

“We’re so glad we found Natalia to take care of our cat and dog while we’re away to visit family. She’s responsive and was sending photos and videos to let us know how they’re doing. My pets were so happy when I picked them up. We’ll definitely use her again in the future.”

“This was our first time boarding our dog with Shon. Super smooth with site visit, going over the process/rules and our dog Mina had a enjoyable boarding with Shon. She was well taken care of, and Shon was very prompt with communication. Will definitely repeat!”

“Another great stay with Jenny! Mello was happy and comfortable, and we’re feeling confident about her upcoming multi-day boarding. Thank you for taking such great care of her!”

“Hyeyoung and her family took great care of George! She sent great updates each day about George. Her photos are amazing! She made George look like a vogue doggy. I will 100% be rebooking with her!”

“Vanessa did a terrific job caring for Zorro. I really appreciated that she wanted to drill down on the specifics of Zorro’s needs prior to my dropping Zorro off. She sent photos and videos every day and was extremely accommodating and communicative about drop off/pick up times. Zorro sometimes is afraid to go down wood stairs (she slipped on our stairs awhile back so we immediately put on carpet attachments for our stairs, but she’s still timid) and Vanessa asked how I sometimes carry her and she scooped Zorro right up and safely brought her down her 4 wood stairs to access the very large fenced backyard. Vanessa and her family gave Zorro a lot of love and attention and I wouldn’t hesitate to leave Zorro with her in the future.”

“Karina was very nice and communicative….. she took really good care of my Oreo, he came home very happy. I Would highly recommend her to care for your dog.”

“Steve is a very caring individual. He showed a great amount of concern for my Pet Beecher, who was not quite himself, and had not been on top of his game lately. I was surprised at how much Steve cared about Beecher and would not hesitate to use him or recommend him to anyone.”
“Laura was an incredible host for our dog! Fluffy had so much fun, was in great shape when we picked him up, and seems to have had a great time. Also Laura is a great communicator, sends frequent updates and photos. We’ll definitely be coming back to this great dog-friendly environment.”

About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up in a family that had dogs for over 12 years, and caring for them was a big part of my childhood. After moving to Seattle, I raised my own Golden Retriever Luna who is now 8 years old, and I also have a sweet American Shorthair cat Hepburn at home :) Living with both dogs and cats has helped me understand their different personalities and needs. I truly enjoy spending time with animals, whether it’s going for walks, playing, or simply keeping them company. I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and the same love I give my own pets, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away! I currently work part-time (less than 20 hours per week), so I have plenty of time at home to care for pets. Most days I’m home for at least half the day, and sometimes the entire day. This means I can give pets lots of attention, companionship, and regular potty breaks. I enjoy spending time playing with them and making sure they feel comfortable and relaxed while their owners are away. We have a large yard where dogs can safely run and play. I also take them on regular walks so they can get exercise and enjoy being outside. I have an 8-year-old Golden Retriever and an American Shorthair cat at home, so I understand different pets’ personalities and routines. I always treat every pet with patience, care, and the same love I give my own babies!
“Sarah is an absolutely amazing Rover who has incredible communication and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure your dog gets the best possible care they need. The last time she sat for my dog, he had a couple of symptoms come up that concerned her and she handled the leg work while I was out of town to set up an appointment with his vet and took him herself and communicated so well the entire time. When I came back to town, she had all the information for care to be continued without missing a beat. Trust me when I say that your pup is in GREAT hands with Sarah!!”

Another fantastic boarding experience with Jenny! She consistently kept us updated with adorable photos and messages throughout Mello’s stay, which gave us great peace of mind. It was so rewarding to see Mello become more comfortable and interactive each day. We’re incredibly grateful for the wonderful care Jenny provides and will definitely continue booking with her!

Yu-Ju is a wonderful host, our little Cookie looked happy. We were absent for two weeks, and Yu-Ju made sure that our dog eats variety of food, goes for long walks, gets attention when needed, sleeps comfortably. We highly recommend Yu-Ju and will definitely be back with Cookie when we’ll be needing dog sitting services in the future.

Laura is so amazing, we are so glad we found her. My dog has separation anxiety and we were really concern about leaving her with someone who might not know how to take care of her or might not be patient enough, Laura is none of that. She's very caring and she took care of my dog really well. I really appreciate her daily updates with photos. Our dog looked so happy that we didn't think she would want to come back home. Thank you very much, Laura. We would definitely reach out again if we ever need someone to take care of Lu when we are away.

Lisa provides our family with time away free from any worries about our dog Lucky. She truly loves caring for our dog, gives us ideas for training and fun outings, and communicates consistently and with fun details. We appreciate Lisa’s professional care and true love for animals and people.

Luisa and Philip are warm and lovely people. They did everything to make our dog feel at home. Every day we received lovely photos and updates how our dog was doing. He has had an amazing time with them. They were also very flexible and accomodating when our car broke down and we were running late for pick up. I think Jock would love to go back next time.
Lanvi and her husband could not have been better with our 4 dogs. We were out of the country when Cooper, our 13 year old lab reinsured his rear leg. They took him to the vet and kept us in constant contact. We never felt we had to worry. On a daily basis, our 4 labs were given love and exercise. We couldn't have asked for more from them. Thank you for taking such great care of our pack!!!

My dog Archie had a wonderful time with Nikhila and her dog, Zoe! He was clearly well cared for, happy, and had a great time throughout his stay. Nikhila was also very flexible with our schedule and kept us updated with plenty of pictures and videos, which made missing him a little easier. Archie loved his stay so much that he almost didn't want to come back! We'd be happy to leave him with her again.

We had a wonderful experience boarding our cat with Liubov. The communication was excellent from start to finish, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We absolutely loved receiving the photo updates - our cat looked happy and incredibly relaxed in every single picture. It’s clear Liubov truly care about cats. We will definitely be booking again!

Bryan was a fantastic sitter for us. He stayed at our home while we were gone. We have 2x 30lb dogs, one who is resource focused (food, toys) which means you need to keep an eye on her and tiring her out (and this girl could run for days). Bryan did multiple long walks with her while we were gone, kept her (kiddie) pool refilled and fresh, and sent daily updates of them and how great they were doing. When we got back, the house was clean, he washed and replaced the sheets on the bed, washed his towels- very much above and beyond! I highly recommend Bryan and intend to rebook him in the future.

Romy was amazing! She’s so personable and truly understands how hard it is for dog parents to leave their fur babies. Our almost one-year-old, Allie, was so well cared for, and the regular updates gave us complete peace of mind during our trip. Leaving Allie with Romy was the best decision we never had to worry for a second. We highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
