“Noah was an absolutely fantastic dog sitter! He was reliable, communicative, and treated my dog with so much genuine care and attention. I received regular updates and photos, and it was clear my pup felt comfortable and happy the entire time. I couldn’t recommend Noah more highly!”

“Justelle did a great job with the pups, they were both very happy when we got home and were sad to see her go! We have a German shepherd and a 1 year old mini Aussie, she was comfortable with both. She left the house clean and put away. We will definitely be booking Justelle again.”

About: I've been walking dogs for three years and been around them my whole life. It's the part of my week I actually look forward to. Your dog keeps their routine. Same meals, same walks, same order. You show me how it works at the walkthrough and I stick to it. I'm comfortable with older dogs too. I've handled some with limited mobility and I've given medication on a schedule. I speak English and Spanish. Hablo español Weekend trips are what I do best. Saturdays and Sundays I'm home with your dog the whole day. On weekdays I'm there overnight, out the door in the morning after breakfast and a walk, and back by six for a long evening walk and the rest of the night. Longer trips work well for dogs who are comfortable on their own during the workday. For walks and drop-ins, weekday evenings after 6pm and anytime on weekends. I don't board dogs at my place. I come to you. Your dog sleeps in their own bed and keeps their own schedule, which is usually the easiest thing for them. We start with a walkthrough so I get your dog right. How much they eat and when. Any medication and the trick to getting them to take it. Which leash and harness. Where the food and the cleanup bags live. Your vet and a backup contact. What your dog does when they're nervous and what helps them settle. I write it all down and I work from those notes. Keys get handed off in person or through a lockbox. I never leave one out. I never put your address on a tag. Leash stays on anytime we're outside. No dog parks or off-leash areas unless you tell me your dog is good with it. I check the gate and the door behind me every single time. You'll get a photo and a few lines every morning and every evening. Not a running commentary. Just enough that you never wonder how it's going. I have a car and your dog rides secured. If they need a vet I'll get them there and call you from the parking lot. We'll sort out how payment works beforehand so nobody is figuring that out in an exam room. If I can't reach you I'll try your backup contact and I'll act. I'm not going to sit on something waiting for a text back. On house sits I bring in the mail and take the bins out. I don't have people over. Your place stays yours.
“10/10! Dmytro was stellar in care of my dogs and taking care of our home. He took the time to do an initial meet and greet with me; he was thoughtful, communicative, very easy to work with, and sent lots of pictures of my dogs while I was gone. We came home to a clean home and my dogs loved him! Will definitely have him house- and dog-sit again - very very happy with experience. Thanks Dmytro!”

“Moriah watched my collie mix while I was gone and it was such a pleasure. She did a great job, especially managing my high energy dog and my dog’s medication. I look forward to booking her again next time I need a dog sitter.”

About: Hello there! My name is Nicole, and like many of you, I LOVE animals. Currently I live in downtown Kirkland and am open to new fluffy (or scaley) friends. I have watched pets inside my own and done visits. I am only open to boarding smaller, cat friendly dogs. :) I promise you that I will love and treat your pet with kindness and love. I understand the anxiety that comes with leaving your furry friends, and will send many photos and updates while you are away. I am currently looking to fill my free time with taking care of furry little friends. I live in Kirkland and do daily walks, and if your dog wants to come along, they are more than welcome! I live in a Condo in Kirkland, WA. I am happy to take dogs to dog parks (with permission) or to just a stroll around the neighborhood. I will send updates and photos whenever I see your pet!
“Shana is terrific. She’s very responsive to my pups’ needs, recognizing that they’re a bit out of sorts when their mom leaves them. She was especially responsive on this last stay which included the 4th of July. One of my pups is incredibly reactive to fireworks, and Shana went above and beyond to help her. I also really appreciate the regular sending of pics which make me more comfortable that they’re doing well.”

“I highly recommend Ulianna! She stayed at my home while I was away and took excellent care of my dog, Ginger. Not only did she keep the house spotless, but she also made sure Ginger was well-walked, cuddled, and loved. I especially appreciated the sweet photo updates she sent of their snuggle sessions—it gave me such peace of mind while I was away. Ulianna is trustworthy, caring, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. I would absolutely hire her again!”

“Primrose was an amazing dog sitter. They stayed over at our home, took excellent care of our two dogs, and was very responsive during the booking process and during the stay. We appreciated all the photo updates. I'll definitely try to book Primrose again for future dog sits”

About: With over a decade of a experience with dogs and cats, I've learned that they want to be in their territory. They're most comfortable at home, and I'm here to keep them happy and loved at their home. Enjoy a small or large vacation with the tranquility of knowing your fur baby is safe and content. As a fitness trainer, I've learned how to take the experience of teaching and pair it with animal communication styles to create an environment in which the animal feels heard and validated, while still maintaining their routines and training. I have ample experience with large dogs throughout life. I've gotten German Shepard and pitbulls to go from trying to dominate me, to being warmly curled up next to me within an hour. I've also gotten prickly cats to go from hissing and scratching to rubbing up for cuddles. Elderly pets are sometimes the easiest, but I can easily work with their medication, bathroom, or additional needs without issue. You work hard, and your family deserves stress free fun! I can ensure your pet is happy, your house is safe, and your rules are followed. Your the boss, let me take care of the furred friends we cherish most! I am a fitness trainer with an incredibly flexible schedule. I can easily fit pet care into my weekly routine and provide ample availability to help keep them content and cared for. For dogs, my schedule typically provides more hours available for dog walks, especially in the mid to late afternoon. They'll never be waiting for someone who has to leave work and commute home through brutal traffic each day. I understand that letting someone care for your pet is an immense responsibility and requires an immense amount of trust. Especially when its someone off of an internet app! Its an even greater leap to trust someone into your home to provide pet care. My ultimate goal is to provide you a stress free environment to travel. I strive to provide that by fully supporting your pet, respecting all rules and boundaries, and ensuring you return home that is cleaner than when you left. I will always be available for any and all concerns, and will be happy to help out in life however I can.
About: I've been around cats and dogs most of my life and have a deep love and affection for them. As well, I recently started volunteering at Seattle Humane. I'm currently doing this part time, so I'm pretty flexible on availability on weekdays between Monday-Thursday. Though, for drop-ins, my clearest availability is between 8am-2pm. But again, I’m flexible. I can do overnights between 5pm-9am. I try to bring a calm, kind demeanor to the environment to put the cat(s) at ease; I will scoop the litter box, feed them, and if they show interest, play with them, and if not, I give them their space!
“Li looked after our Beagle so well. She updated us with Coco's daily activities throughout and many photos were shared as well. Our home was well taken care of as well. We would recommend Li and will book her again to look after Coco on our next holiday!”

“So happy to have found Brandi! She did such an amazing job taking care of our furry children and our home while we were away. She was very thorough during our meet and greet and asked all the right questions, taking notes on the instructions. I immediately felt comfortable having her take care of our pups. During the stay, she gave updates and sent pictures, which is always a nice touch 😊 We will absolutely ask Brandi to stay with our pups the next time we go out of town.”

“We cannot thank Christiane enough for taking such wonderful care of our senior dog. This was his first time with a new sitter and we could not have found a more suitable, patient and caring person. It also happened to be the perfect storm of an Xfinity outage, power outage and a snowstorm which was all handled so calmly. We also came home to a spotless house. Very grateful!”

“Shawn is awesome and kept real good care of Toby! She was kind to give me tons of cuddles and made him stay calm while we were away!! We would recommend shawn to everyone”

“Dahae took care of my two cats and two dogs for a full week while I was out of town, and she was incredible from start to finish. She checked in regularly, kept me updated, and treated all four of my babies like her own. She kept every pet fed and comfortable, and made sure the dogs got out on a consistent schedule. I came home to happy, relaxed pets and a spotless house, which is honestly the best feeling after traveling. The care and thoughtfulness she put into everything made such a difference. I highly recommend Dahae to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely loving with animals.”

“Russell was great with our older dog and cat. He kept us updated and took our dog on great walks. He also took good care of our home. Even watered plants without being asked. He can be relied upon ti take great care of pets and home”
“Murphy absolutely loves Rachel!! She stayed with him over the weekend and it was amazing. She sent updates and pictures of Murphy everyday. I highly recommend Rachel to care for your furbabies!!”

Uliana dos a great job! She adhered to my very specific instructions on feeding and playtime, provided plenty of updates, is always responsive to communication and is always on time. She also stayed later into the night to make sure my clingy dog is accompanied as long as possible. Would definitely recommend!

James is great! This was his second time caring for our dog & two cats — we came home to pets who, though happy to see us, weren’t desperate to have us home… they were obviously well cared for. James is a good communicator, patient with our sometimes anxious dog, and won over our shy cats. Much appreciated!

I will make this review very plain and simple. Ra is the BEST dog walker/house sitter I have ever used on Rover!! She went above and beyond my expectations which are very high when it comes to taking care of Howie while I am traveling. She was very caring and conscientious of Howie's needs. Howie is a friendly, high energy labradoodle that needs 2 walks per day. She is also an excellent pet photographer and took some amazing sunset pictures of Howie. She introduced Howie to a new playmate Sadie and brought her over to play with Howie in the backyard. Howie is a very picky eater and she suggested a new food topper for his meals which he loved! I would highly recommend Ra for any pet care needs!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Yarrow Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Yarrow Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Yarrow Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
