“Justelle was an amazing in home overnight sitter for our dog. We were without service for two days while we were away and even though our dog is a little reactive I didn’t feel worried at all. Justelle still sent updates and pictures which were a joy to read once we got back to civilization. I’m glad to have found such a great sitter!”

“Russell was great with our older dog and cat. He kept us updated and took our dog on great walks. He also took good care of our home. Even watered plants without being asked. He can be relied upon ti take great care of pets and home”
“This is the second time using Uliana and I am very happy to have her watch my pup Ginger again. She loves dogs and cats and I appreciate her philosophy to their care. She stayed with my pup for 5 days and I knew Ginger was in good hands.”

“This was the first time we used Shana's services. She did a wonderful job of taking care of our two dogs and bunny. The morning we were leaving, one of our dogs developed an ear infection. Shana really stepped up, managed meds and got her to the vet for treatment. She also sent some amazing photos daily...photographer quality! Will definitely hire her again.”

“10/10! Dmytro was stellar in care of my dogs and taking care of our home. He took the time to do an initial meet and greet with me; he was thoughtful, communicative, very easy to work with, and sent lots of pictures of my dogs while I was gone. We came home to a clean home and my dogs loved him! Will definitely have him house- and dog-sit again - very very happy with experience. Thanks Dmytro!”
“Elianna was super communicative, arrived on time, and kept me updated for the entirety of her stay! Nugget seemed to love her and will definitely book again.”

“Jeanine was great with Aspen! Super communicative and shared lots of photos of the fun they had together. Plus Aspen sneakily took her to the local mud bay and she even got him a bonus treat:)”

“She was great! We have 3 big dogs and she knew how to interact with them, even our more difficult to handle one. She sent pictures and kept us up-to-date which was so nice.”

“Sue did a great job watching my dog and house sitting. My dog and house were the same way I left them after leaving for 5 days. In addition, when my plane was cancelled and I had to take a later flight, Sue stepped up and stayed at my house a few hours later then what was scheduled. Sue is a reliable sitter.”

“We cannot thank Christiane enough for taking such wonderful care of our senior dog. This was his first time with a new sitter and we could not have found a more suitable, patient and caring person. It also happened to be the perfect storm of an Xfinity outage, power outage and a snowstorm which was all handled so calmly. We also came home to a spotless house. Very grateful!”

“Levi took great care of my kitten, Ghibli, while I was overseas. This was the first time I’d left Ghibli with someone else, so I was a bit nervous, but Levi made it easy. He sent photos and updates, communicated well, followed all my instructions, and left my place tidy. You can tell he genuinely loves animals, and Ghibli seemed to really like him. I’d definitely book Levi again and would happily recommend him to others.”

“Dale was awesome! She asked really thorough and important questions before the stay, and left the house just as clean as when she arrived. She administered my dog's anxiety medication before she left, so that she wouldn't be too stressed being alone. Dale was also very communicative during an unexpected power-outage at the house, which I can't imagine was very fun!”

“Junbo stayed overnight in my home for multiple nights and took wonderful care of my dogs. She sent lots of updates, photos, and videos, and it was clear from every one how happy, comfortable, and well loved they were. I really appreciated her communication and the peace of mind she gave me while I was away. My dogs were relaxed, content, and clearly well cared for — which matters most. I would absolutely book Junbo again and recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, attentive sitter. 🐾💛”

“Ana was wonderful with our cat and dog! She came twice before our planned vacation to get to know them and asked great questions. We received daily updates and photos and felt totally comfortable enjoying our trip. We came home to happy pets and we would be delighted to have Ana stay at our home again.”

“Sarah stayed in our house with our nervous dog Dewey for eight days this summer and she was WONDERFUL! I highly recommend having her stay with your pets! She was very responsive throughout the stay and we loved getting photos of Dewey every day. She also took care of our leopard geckos and button quail as well as our house plants and garden. We returned to a happy dog and a clean house! I'm hoping she can stay with Dewey when we go out of town again!”

About: I’ve enjoyed walking dogs in my Seattle neighborhood since I was a teen. Any opportunity to exercise and be around pets is a time I can’t pass up! I do not mind long walks or jogging, so if you prefer a longer walk time for your pet that is no issue. I’m currently working part time and will soon begin going back to college in the fall part time as well. I have a very flexible work schedule, weight to shed, and a genuine love for animals, so I thought I’d try Rover out 😄 I would not be able to have pets in my own home, but I will gladly prepare your pet for a walk or feed him/her in your home if you are comfortable. I am also comfortable sitting at your place! I have worked with dogs as young as 5 months, and up to 12 years old. I know how to stimulate a young pup, making sure I read their energy in order to provide them with the fitness they need. On the flip side, I understand the hands on care, assistance, and supervision (quite literally have to be their eyes sometimes) an elderly dog requires. You can trust with me with your pet during all of their life stages.

Erin stayed with my two cats for a few days this summer. She was very responsive when I first reached out to inquire about her availability. Once she was here, she was communicative and sent photos and updates of the cats throughout the stay. She left the house sparkling clean and cats were happy! I will be using her in the future! Thank you!!!

Jenna was absolutely amazing. Truly the GOAT of cat sitters! She took such wonderful care of my cats and left my home exactly as I had left it. She sent me tons of photos and detailed updates about what the cats were doing, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She even brought them toys and took the time to understand each cat’s unique personality, giving them individual attention based on what they were comfortable with. I never even asked her to do that, she just went above and beyond on her own. To top it all off, she wrote the cutest little pet report and left it on the table for me to read when I got home. It was such a thoughtful touch. I could not have asked for a better sitter, and I would absolutely book Jenna again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone caring, attentive, trustworthy, and genuinely wonderful with cats!

James is great! This was his second time caring for our dog & two cats — we came home to pets who, though happy to see us, weren’t desperate to have us home… they were obviously well cared for. James is a good communicator, patient with our sometimes anxious dog, and won over our shy cats. Much appreciated!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Yarrow Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Yarrow Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Yarrow Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
