“Conor was so awesome to my dog Eli! He gave me frequent updates and pictures and even gave me some tips for training, which was super helpful as a first-time dog owner. He truly treated Eli as if he was part of his own pack.”

“My pup had an amazing time with Rini! Rini was communicative and sent great updates and photos! I loved knowing my pup was having fun playing in the backyard with new friends! Will definitely be booking with Rini again!!”

“Buddy is getting to bond with Jenny. She is amazing. Loving, caring and all day she was keeping me informed about buddy. I am glad Buddy finally love someone that loves him. Thanks Jenny. See you soon.”

“We left Our pup with them and it’s always easy to tell if my dog enjoyed himself or not - tongue hanging out, happy wag to see me, and a smile saying “yay, mom is back!”. These folks take such great care of my dog. Long walks, cold water, thoughtful and kind. Will book again. :) thank you!!!”

“Karissa was a total pro with our two Brittanys. This was her first time with them and she made them both feel totally at home. They came home totally exhausted, which is always nice.”

About: Hi! I am a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience raising and training my own large-breed dog, Boone. I understand the importance of routine, exercise, fun activities and a caring environment for every pet. We’ve also used Rover as our pet sitting platform while living in Seattle and know exactly how nice it is to be able to leave your pet in the care of someone who will be detail oriented with your care instructions, a great communicator and ultimately love to have your dog around. I work remotely full-time and am able to give your pet all the time and care they deserve. You can count on me for reliable, loving care and plenty of happy photo updates :) I work fully remote so my daily care schedule (walks, play time, feeding, bathroom breaks) for Boone is already in place so it will be easy to add into that any additional pet care tasks needed! We have a single family home with a great fenced in backyard and in the house we have a gated stairwell, so if your pet needs or wants a separate space to hang out, we are able to accommodate that! My dog is crate trained for bed time, so will sleep separately. Boone is super friendly, not reactive, food aggressive or territorial in any way, nonetheless we always feed pets separately to negate any issues!
“Very responsive and was able to accommodate on short notice. Bonnie seemed to enjoy snuggling on all the soft blankies and dog beds there too! Came home happy and healthy, I got lots of photos and updates. Bonnie probably appreciated being the only dog there too haha.”

About: Pet setting is my full time job. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for like family. I have experience with dogs of different sizes and personalities, including shy and energetic dogs. I carefully follow feeding and walking routines, give lots of attention and playtime, and always keep owners updated with messages and photos so they feel while away. Pet care is my full-time and only job. This allows me to dedicate my complete attention and energy to every pet in my care. I am home throughout the day and provide consistent supervision, regular potty breaks, feeding, walks, and playtime based on each pet’s routine. Because this is my primary profession, pets are never left alone for long periods, and their safety and comfort are always my top priority. Creating a safe and trustworthy environment is extremely important to me. My home is clean, calm, and fully pet-friendly. I carefully monitor each pet and adjust care based on their personality and needs. If necessary, I separate pets to maintain a peaceful and stress-free atmosphere. I strictly follow all owner instructions, including feeding schedules, medication administration, crate training, and any special care requirements. I also provide daily photo and message updates so owners feel confident and connected while away.
About: I have many years of experience caring for animals. My own dogs are very old and no longer enjoy walks so I started walking dogs in my neighborhood. I have a knack for calming reactionary dogs and nervous walkers. I enjoy every animal, especially the challenging ones. Pet sitting, playing with dogs, taking walks, what could be better than that? It truly is a passion. I am a retired Mother of 3 whose children are all grown up. Aside from helping my elderly Mother and walking my neighbor's dog my schedule is wide open. I can provide pet sitting in your home including overnights. Don't let my age fool you! I am high energy and walk many miles a day. 10 years ago I hired a family member to stay with my pets for 2 weeks. It was the first time I trusted someone to watch my animals. The first time I had been away from my dog. I couldn't get a hold of her so I sent someone over to check on them on the 3rd day. There was a gigantic pile of dog food on the floor and feces and urine everywhere. My poor dog was entirely alone and one of my cats was missing. I was devastated when we came home to discover my cat had passed away from being locked in a hot garage. that was the last time we took a vacation without our pets along. All this to say I know how important it is to have trustworthy pet care and I pride myself on providing it. I also recognize the importance of communication between client and provider.
“Naomi and Benson took great care of my dog while I was away for work. They were extremely flexible and accommodating to our needs. Naomi took time out of her day to send regular updates and photos, and she was always quick to reply. It didn’t take long before my dog was excited to see her at drop offs. If I ever need a sitter again, they’ll be my first choice!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Grace and her dogs! My dog Kona was happy and enjoyed her time there. I really appreciated the photos and updates. Grace is very thoughtful, caring, and communicative, and we hope to be back again soon!”

Please give me a shout and let's meet! I'm retired and have time on my hands to take care of your pet either in my home or yours. I will always take your instructions to heart and follow them to the letter. I would never put your pet in harm's way or take him/her somewhere to which you didn't approve. I'm able to take your dog to a dog park if he/she needs to run and play with other dogs.
“Beth is very friendly and easy to communicate with. This was my first time sending Addie for daycare, and I was a little bit nervous. Before booking online, I reached out to Beth to set up a meet up and she was willing to accommodate my request on the same day. Throughout the day, Beth sent photo updates of Addie and Addie seemed happy as well. Would definitely consider Beth to take care of Addie again in the future.”

About: Hi I’m Maya! I’ve always lived with dogs and grew up helping my family dog sit, so caring for pups of all shapes and sizes comes naturally to me. I’m great at walking both big and small dogs, whether your pup loves long adventures or quick strolls around the block, I’ve got it covered. I have a large fenced yard that’s perfect for playtime, and I’ll happily throw a ball for hours if that’s what your dog loves! My home is the perfect place for social dogs who get along well with others and enjoy lots of outdoor time and attention. A huge plus about my home is the well sized dog park right across the street! I would love to meet your furry family member and make sure they feel safe, happy, and well-exercised while you’re away! I’m currently an online student at Edmonds College, which gives me very open availability. I’m able to provide plenty of care, playtime, and attention to your pup while they’re with me! Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. In my home, pets enjoy a secure, large fenced yard where they can play and relax. I always supervise playtime to make sure everyone gets along and stays safe. On walks, I use secure leashes and pay close attention to each dog’s needs, so you can trust your pup is in good hands. I aim to create a fun, loving, and stress-free environment where every dog feels right at home!
“Brynn and her husband are great with June! Super communicative with picture updates and she was super excited to go a second time. June comes home happy but exhausted, ready for a long nap so you know she had a great time!”

Very responsive and was able to accommodate on short notice. Bonnie seemed to enjoy snuggling on all the soft blankies and dog beds there too! Came home happy and healthy, I got lots of photos and updates. Bonnie probably appreciated being the only dog there too haha.

My first time using Rover and first time boarding my dog. Dena was welcoming and communicative. She let me up to date with photos during my dogs stay with her. She gave me thoughtful feedback to help my dog have success with future boarding. I appreciate Dena and highly recommend her to anyone.

Ellyssa and Anthony are amazing with my dog, Knox. He gets excited every time we turn the corner on their street. They not only care for him but seek opportunities to enrich his time with needed exercise and active play time. Thank you for also being flexible with care when my schedule fluctuates.

Roni did a great job making me feel comfortable leaving my two pups with her for daycare for the first time. She shared lots of photos, videos, and reassured me of how they were doing throughout the day. Margo and Tucker came home happy and tired after playing with their new friends!

This was our second time booking with Laura and she is just fantastic!! So warm and loving towards our 100 pound German Shepard - Pitt mix. Super flexible with pickup/drop off, sends daily pictures, and is truly so warm with our boy. I can tell that she and her husband are real dog lovers. Thank you again, Laura!! ❤️

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
