“Peter was great with our dog. He sent pictures each day and told us how everything was going. Our dog got along with his dogs. We will use him again when we need him to care for our dog.”

“Jassem & Josh are wonderful people and dog sitters! :) Definitely the best dog sitters we have used on Rover. Our pup had a great time and warmed up to them easily. They made the process seamless and communicated everyday by providing us with lovely updates and pictures of our dog. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our dog was in good hands, while she was clearly also having a good time as well! We will definitely book them again!”

“We decided to do a trial run since this would be the first time the pups were away and I didn't know how they would reacted. Karen was very nice and understanding to the situation. During the meet and greet, she interacted with them and was very informative. I appreciated the updates and pictures she sent while they were with her.”

“This is our third time with Rachael, and our dog gets so excited when she realizes where we are when I drop her off. Rachael is so communicative and puts us at ease with pictures videos and updates. We are so grateful we found her!”

“We're so happy Mimi has a comfortable place to stay with people who enjoy her company. She's a shy dog, so it's great that she was able to settle in cuddle with new people. Many thanks!”

“Donna was perfect for Cal as she was familiar with dogs having Diabetes and on Insulin. From her pictures she sent to us, he was very comfortable being in her home. I will certainly be calling on Donna in the future. Thanks Donna”

“Debbi was great with Baby, and also offered to stitch up her jacket that had a small rip. Debbi and family were really sweet with Baby. Teddy is really adorable and made a good friend for Baby during her stay. Definitely recommend Debbi!”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover who friends and family regularly trust to care for their pets while they travel. I have two friendly golden retrievers who truly love other dogs and are gentle, playful, and well-socialized. I’m experienced with a wide range of personalities—from high-energy pups who need lots of playtime to senior dogs who prefer a calm, cozy environment. I treat every dog as if they were my own, paying close attention to routines, feeding schedules, medications, and individual quirks. Your dog will enjoy plenty of love, supervised play, and a safe, comfortable home where they’re never just “watched,” but genuinely cared for. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands. I work from home, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, and a calm, structured environment. I’m available for both short-notice needs and bookings well in advance as you plan your travels. My goal is to be your go-to sitter whenever you need reliable, loving care. I have a large fully fenced yard and two friendly, well-socialized golden retrievers who enjoy playing in the backyard by a game of chase and/or fetch. I closely monitor playtime and all interactions, follow each dog’s routine, and can crate, separate, or provide quiet space if needed in order to keep all dogs in my care stress/free, comfortable and happy. Safety, comfort, and trust are always my top priorities. This isn’t just a place where you drop your dog for the day or for a trip. It’s a calm, loving environment where dogs feel safe and loved while you’re away. I choose thoughtful exercise and enrichment to keep them happy and give them plenty of opportunities to burn energy and excitement.
“Our one year old golden had an amazing stay with Hongyee. She had lots of play time, was very well cared for, and seemed a little sad to say goodbye. We’ll definitely use Hongyee again. Highly recommend.”

“We always know our boy Zuko will be in the best hands when we leave him with Kirsten and her family. 💙 He has so much fun at their house and comes home nice and tired! 😄 I love that Kirsten sends pictures and updates and it’s so nice to know that he is getting lots of love and attention. 😊”

“I love leaving my two little dogs with Charmaine! I feel so confident that they are well cared for and always receive updates and pics to keep me connected. She pays individual attention and truly cares for my pups. I’m so grateful to have her and her family for my Chi mix babes.”

“David and his family are wonderful! Super attentive and communicative. Very caring and considerate about taking care of my dog, paying a ton of attention to his individual needs and personality. Practices good training habits and gave the pups a ton of exercise and play time. Will absolutely book again!”

“I can count the number of people our skittish dog allows to take his harness on/off on one hand. Somehow Liz has become one, and in record time! She is wonderful with anxious dogs! Can’t recommend her highly enough!”

Alex did a fantastic job taking care of our three dogs while we were away on vacation. Her home is fully fenced in with lots of space for the dogs to be outside. The inside is set up with ramps and nonslip pads throughout and lots of water stations. She kept us updated daily with plenty of pictures and videos of the dogs. We really felt comfortable while we were away. Thank you so much Alex and we look forward to future visits.

Steven and Rachel were wondering taking care of our little one. Provided many pictures and kept us updated in his little anxious behavior that end up going away the more he felt at home with them. Would definitely recommend 10/10. They will keep you informed and answer you pretty quickly.

Cricket had a great time at Julie’s! She would definetly like to come back for another stay sometime. We didn’t worry about her at all - she had pups and kids to play with, humans to snuggle, and got plenty of exercise in the fully fenced yard. Thanks Julie and crew for taking great care of our noisy fluffball cricket.

We love Tiffany. We never go on vacation unless she is available. She sends pictures of my pups having fun, messages how they are doing, and gives them loads of love and attention while they are away from their family. Her home is always clean, the backyard accessible, and plenty of toys and pup sleeping spots. We highly, highly, recommend Tiffany! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Khayl is wonderful to work with and took such good care of my boys! My son-in-law recommended her to me and now I know why. Khayl has been so accommodating, friendly and gave us plenty of updates and videos of them while we were gone. Will definitely be using her services again! Thank you Khayl!

Melissa and her family did such a good job taking care of Luna for a LONG 17 days! Luna is high energy and needed a place to feel safe but also a home away from home, and Melisaa provided that. She sent daily photos of Luna. Luna loved playing with her sons and Wishbone, the family dog. We will use Melissa again and recommend you give her a try!

My cat Pusheen had the best care from Jessica. It was my first time boarding!!! I highly recommend her services! Traveling solo can be stressful but as far as my sweet kitty being in the best of hands? No worries! Will Definitely be using her sevices again! Thank you!

Emma is the best! I really appreciated the quick communication regarding drop off and pick up times, and the pictures and updates she sent throughout the day while watching my pup! He had so much fun with Emma and Lani, and I felt so at ease knowing how well he was being taken of!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
