We're happy to welcome all well behaved dogs to stay in our home. My husband and I have one friendly small dog for your pup(s) to play with and we also have cats. We are already acclimated to having dog visitors and our dog is well socialized and accepting of visiting canines.

Our backyard is secure and fully fenced, for potty break access and play time. We live in Three Tree Point neighborhood in Burien with plenty of areas for walking.

I work from home and I have a lot of time for pets. I love them all and try to give them everything they need and more, love, comfort ,fun and attention. Every guest pet becomes a member of our family. You can go about your life, rest assured that your doggy is save, happy and in good company .

Comfort & Quality Time!West Seattle, Seattle, WA

You and your pet can still enjoy life while you are away! Give your dog a comfortable and safe environment while you can't be with them and enjoy your time while you miss them.

Individualized care for your dog's needs and interests! West Seattle retreat with a yard and dog friendly environment. I want to make your dogs smile as much as I can while you are away.

Matt

About this sitter:

Hi I'm Matt B. As someone that loves to travel, I understand the mixed feelings when it comes to leaving your dog behind. I've been taking care of dogs my whole life and know how to make them feel comfortable when they're missing their owners. Lots of exercise, positive reinforcement and lots of places to lay around. I can take care of all kinds of dogs and their different conditions. And while you're away I'll send you plenty of photos of your best buddy!

Why I love dog sitting

I was born a dog lover. You couldn't stop me from petting or playing with any dog in sight! Life without dogs would be so different.

Meet my pets

I have a gentle giant named Thurston.

He loves all dogs big and small and always finds a way to be friends no matter their personality or disability.

Thurston is a 1 year old Irish Wolfhound Goofball.

About my yard

I have a fenced yard that is strong but temporary while I build my final fence.

I am always out there with the dogs and have had Great Danes and escape artists with no problems. It's a fun yard and will be getting better.

My experience administering medication

I can administer most medications and watch your injured dogs to.

Loving Pet Parent to All FurbabiesSouth Delridge, Seattle, WA

Our family lives in West Seattle and includes John, Erica, Kiddos 11 & 14, Clancy (a 11 year old 50 pound Springer Spaniel/Red Heeler mix), Noodle Love Nugget (2 year old Chihuahua), Oreo (6 month old kitty) and our latest addition 14-year-old Jake the quarter horse who lives offsite. (Our sweet kitty Bella Baby Kitty crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2017 and we adopted Noodle in her name.) We are extremely active and live and play hard. Clancy, Noodle, Oreo and (RIP Bella) are rescue animals who have made a wonderful addition to our family. Jake is a sweet boy who loves to see the girls when we visit, ride him and give him treats. Clancy enjoys playing with friends in our private fenced in dog park, patrolling our fenced in front yard, chase, wrestling/keep away with friends and playing with his toys and snuggling. Oreo is being raised as a dog. He is kennel trained and LOVES to wrestle and play with his big brother Noodle. Clancy, Noodle and Oreo love to play chase and tag up and down the hallway. Noodle is very eager to make new friends but due to his dainty 5.2 pound size we are cautious with introductions. (Both Oreo and Noodle are available to play with suitable sized visitors, otherwise they are kept separately for their safety.)

John and I grew up with pets of all varieties and our family would not feel complete without all of the joy that they add. John and I would welcome a visiting canine family member who can play well with our existing family members. However, we understand that some pets would like to stay in their own homes but get visits and playtime. We are very flexible and could accommodate a variety of arrangements.

In addition, we can provide drop ins for any type of pet siblings who are more comfortable staying at home, as well as their canine brothers and sisters. Although I have selected a preference for altered dogs, I understand that depending on age they may not of been altered yet. If your pet falls into this category, please let me I know so that I can determine whether we could proceed with a stay. I also offer boarding discounts for repeat boarding customers, discounts for siblings and our prices are negotiable depending on your situation. If this sounds like an ideal fit for you, please do not hesitate to contact us. :)

About Erica:

I have always been an avid animal lover. I grew up with Dachshunds, kitties, a goat, fish, mini turtles to name a few. I love them all!!! :) In addition, I was an equestrian throughout middle school and high school and was responsible for the care of several horses. John and I also have a ten year old daughter Miranda, who has been raised to love and respect her animal siblings as well as to participate in their care. The children and I are currently pursuing our mutual love of horses by taking riding lessons together. (They are taking Western and I am taking English lessons.)

Why I love dog sitting

I have had canine family members all of my life. Before we adopted Clancy, I had Dachshund babies, a Flat Coated Retriever and Kitties. I love how all fur babies constantly express their joy of life with their goofy individual personalities.

Meet my pets

Clancy (a 11 year old 50 pound Springer Spaniel/Red Heeler mix)

Noodle Love Nugget (a 2 year old 5.2 pound Chihuahua)

Oreo (6 month Kitten)

Jake (14 year old Quarter Horse who lives off-site)

About my yard

We have a triple gated private dog park, and a fenced in front yard. Clancy and friends enjoy frequent squirrel patrols, and galloping rounds of chase and keep away. I separate dogs by energy levels and by temperament. Some want to run all day and others want to lay in the sun. I assess the fit upon arrival and place them with friends who are best suited. Our goal is that all visitors are treated like family and have an amazing visit. :)

My experience administering medication

Sure, no problem since I have had to do it with my own pets. I have experience giving oral, topical and injected medicines.

Your dog will be part of our familyQueen Anne, Seattle, WA

We are a family of 6. Husband, wife, 3 children (1 in college, 1 in high school, 1 in elementary), and our dog Sammy, a 10 year old 10lb. Havanese. My wife and I both work from home. We live in Queen Anne and are a very active family. We have a small yard and are close to many parks. Our dog loves to play with other small dogs so we'd be happy to have your dog as part of our family while you're away.

Why I love dog sitting

I have been a dog lover all my life, but my mom was allergic to dogs, so I didn't have a dog as a child, but I played with my friend's dogs all the time. As an adult, my first dog, Hunter was a black Lab and German Shepherd mix. Now I have Sammy, a white Havanese. I have had a dog for 18 years.

About my yard

I have a fenced in yard that is about 1000 sq ft. Half of it is grass the other half is concrete and brick.

Loving family homeRoxhill, Seattle, WA

We have a fun and caring blended household that includes me, my husband of 6 years, two boys- both aged 15, and one girl age 11 going on 25. :)

Our wire-haired dachshund JoJo (7 y.o) is a sweet, attention seeker who will be very vocal at first and then try her best to lick you as much as possible. She loves to play chase with her furry friends. Tryp is a 2 year old mini long-haired doxie who stole our hearts. He needed a home so we welcomed him with open arms. He does well with our guest dogs but he will make a loud production when he first meets you. He is all licks and snuggles after he gets done with his loud hello. He is soft like a chenille blanket and our whole family has fallen in love with him.

We have a doggy door to access the fully reinforced fenced and gate locked back yard anytime. The kids enjoy having guest dogs sleep with them and keep them warm. I have crates for those dogs that like the "den" feeling. I also have large fluffy dog beds and plenty of room for them to enjoy naps in the sun from our front windows.

My whole family is dog lovers. We enjoy bringing in new friends for the dogs, and we would love to cuddle and play with your furry family member while you're away.

We prefer small dogs. ***For "medium" sized dogs it will be up to my discretion if I can take your dog above 35lbs. (up to 40) and I cannot accommodate above 40lbs or taller breeds. Clients who bring their smaller dogs to stay appreciate that there will not be larger dogs in my home- even though I love all dogs of all sizes, I respectfully cannot make any exceptions to this restriction.*** I also wish to indicate that a preference for over 2 years old works best for our dogs and family.

Must do well with older children/teens and be up to date on their shots AND please make sure they have been treated for fleas 24 hrs before their stay or they are on a flea regimen. We can handle various personalities and needs and I have senior dog experience. Note: I have stairs in my home, and no carpeting in the main rooms. Please indicate if your dog will need help on stairs or need a mat to stand on while eating.

I need a 4-legged running partner!North Delridge, Seattle, WA

I am the mama of two fur babies. I love all animals, especially dogs and cats. I have always had a dog growing up. In my adulthood I made it a priority to live in housing that allowed pets as well as chose neighborhoods close to parks for my dogs to play. I am an avid runner and am currently training for my 11th marathon and my 2nd Ragnar trail relay. I would love to train with additional dogs around Alki Beach or Lincoln Park, or wherever the running path is close to your place! I am currently on summer break from my doctorate program at Seattle University. I'm looking forward to having some time focusing on hanging out with pets, which makes me feel at peace!

I love dogs and walking!Admiral, seattle, WA

Hi,

I have had dogs my entire life. I recently lived on a farm in Olympia as a caretaker and part of my responsibility was caring for 3 cats, 5 dogs, 3 goats and many chickens. I am comfortable with all aspects of caregiving for dogs to include administering medication, bathing and special needs. I am in great shape and have no problem with stairs or crawling around on all fours! I recently lost my dog do to age but am very fortunate that most of my neighbors have dogs that are always welcome to visit. I am a very responsible and feel that texting and pictures are the best way to communicate on our daily walks. This is best for the owners and pets.

NOTICE RE: COVID-19

I am currently still providing 30/60 minute walks and drop-in visits as well as doggy day care 7 days a week as needed. I am practicing the best possible hygiene with my dogs and social distancing with my clients to keep the risk of potentially spreading the virus low. All studies completed so far show that dogs cannot contract or spread the virus, but it could be spread through contact with them and their belongings. For this reason I am not accepting any new dogs for doggy day care to keep the pack and their families safe. I am also not scheduling any meet & greets in April or May, but I am happy to speak with potential new clients over the phone. Right now I am prioritizing clients who are essential workers and still employed, as well as seniors and people with disabilities and comprised immunities to help them through this epidemic. I do still have a lot more availability than usual, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you need care at this time, regardless of your working status.

Please read through my profile before reaching out, as I have included all of the information regarding services, hours, service areas, and more to help you decide if I'm the right fit for you and your pet(s). If you're not sure which type of stay would be best, feel free to send me any type of request explaining your needs and timeframe and we can figure out the best option together. I try to keep my availability calendar on here up-to-date, but it is not always accurate due to the complicated Rover algorithm and last-minute bookings/cancellations.

WALK / DROP-IN VISIT (for dogs & cats):

If you would like to schedule a Walk or a Drop-In Visit you can now book them directly through me. I am also happy to schedule a Drop-In to meet and/or walk with you and your pet(s) before our first visit, if neccessary. If I am already booked to housesit while you are gone and your pet(s) is/are okay spending the night on their own, I can schedule several Drop-In Visits each day instead for walks/potty breaks/mealtimes/medications, pending my availability at the time of your trip.

*Please note: My availability MON-FRI is usually limited between 12-2PM, but I will do my best to accomodate every request that I can. My schedule fills up very quickly, so advanced notice and flexible time frames are greatly appreciated!*

DOGGY DAY CARE (for dogs):

Do your dogs enjoy walks, car rides, and the company of other dogs? If so, they can accompany me on the Walks I have scheduled back-to-back all over the city 11AM-4PM MON-FRI. *Due to my schedule, I usually need to do my Pick-Ups between 11AM-12PM, and Drop-Offs between 4-5PM.*

Your pups would ride along with me in my car from house to house and join the other dog(s) on their walks. All of the dogs I introduce to my day care pups have known me for months and are socialized and friendly... they love it when I bring them friends to play with! *Note: I can only safely take up to 4-6 dogs in my car each day, depending on their sizes.*

I always do introductions outside on neutral territory away from food/toys. In the off-chance the dogs don't click, your pups can wait out that walk in the car (no longer than 30 minutes at a time) and join me on the next. If I have access to a fully fenced yard or dog park I may opt for a playdate instead of a traditional walk, since it offers more mental and physical stimulation for all dogs involved. Rest assured your dogs will get as many walks and playdates as they could ever want, and can take a break to rest in the car whenever they need! I have portable water bowls, blankets, toys, and extra leashes in the backseat, along with multiple pet seatbelts for harnessed dogs.

BOARDING (for dogs & cats):

Pups that come stay with me can look forward to evening walks through the West Woodland neighborhood, optional morning jogs around the block, strolls through the Farmer's Market on Sundays, car rides to Green Lake on nice days, fetch in the backyard, playtime inside with toys, the occasional trip to the dog park, and lots of snuggles with my partner and I at the end of the day.

I don't have many rules in my home when it comes to pets, outside of those needed to keep them safe and healthy. I am happy to enforce any rules or habits you may have set up if asked, but otherwise your pets will be treated like a member of the family while they are with us. This means they are allowed on the furniture and welcome to sleep with me in my bed. I do have XXL kennels that can be used with the doors open or closed, or put away, depending on the dog. I will only kennel dogs that are crate-trained and destructive if left alone, or per owner request, while I'm out of the house and/or sleeping. Otherwise, the kennel is for them to use at their own discretion as their own "room" to rest or store their toys or other belongings in.

Since I walk dogs full time on weekdays, I won't be at home for most of the day. If your dogs are staying with me at this time they will either be at home with Tink all day, or they may accompany me on my Walks (see DOGGY DAY CARE).

HOUSE SITTING (for dogs, cats & other animals):

Pups that I sit can expect a very similar experience to their typical routine, plus additional spoiling and love. I will follow their feeding and walking schedules as closely as possible, as well as any other time-sensitive routines. I am also happy to take care of any other pets you may have while I'm there -- I have a lifetime of experience with various caged animals, reptiles, fresh and saltwater fishtanks, indoor birds, and outdoor foul as well.

While staying in your home I will respect it as if it were my own and leave it cleaner than I found it. I'll water your plants, get the mail, and bring in any packages delivered during my stay -- typical house sitting duties. I can also bathe/groom pets upon request. If there is anything else that I can do for you while you're away, please don't hesitate to ask!

I can spend time in the mornings before 8AM and evenings after 8PM in your home to feed, walk, and play with your pets, along with a dinnertime visit around 5-6PM. Since I walk dogs full time on weekdays, I won't be at your home during the day. However, I am happy to schedule an additional Drop-In Visit with you in the afternoons for dogs who need some extra exercise, attention, or care. They may also tag along with me on some of my Walks if possible (see DOGGY DAY CARE).

BATHING / GROOMING (for dogs & cats):

*Available upon request with notice during Boarding, House Sitting, and 60 min. Drop-In Visits only.* Includes shampoo lather, thorough rinse, towel dry, and full brushing (flea bath, combing and treatment available at an extra cost). *If your pet needs a bath for a specific reason during a homestay I will take care of it at no extra cost.*
