Her apt is very welcoming to dogs as she always has fellow playmates around and has a patio area where they can eliminate. One time, my puppy jumped off the furniture wrong and had hurt himself. She called me immediately and also did the courtesy of contacting DogVacay’s own vet for advice. My experience of Lorelei is that she is very attentive to the dogs and cares for them as if they are her own. As a bonus, Lorelei also wrote me thank you cards! Our French Bulldog, Bobo, is our child, and this was the first time we had left him since he suffered an IVDD flare earlier this year. Needless to say, we were incredibly nervous. Because of his recent health issues, he has a number of restrictions and special considerations to help prevent another IVDD flare, and Kevin and Kandice were so attentive and conscientious about following all of his care instructions. They immediately put us at ease and kept us updated throughout our trip with messages and photos, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. Most importantly, it was obvious that Bobo wasn’t just being watched—he was genuinely cared for and loved. When we picked him up, he was happy, comfortable, and clearly had been very well cared for. As pet parents, that’s all you can hope for when leaving your dog with someone else. Kevin and Kandice are trustworthy, compassionate, and truly exceptional. “Matthew was great! This was my first time leaving my Aussie with anyone. It was a two day trial run to see how he reacted being away from me and home for any length of time. He did great! Matthew was very thorough in gathering as much information about my dog, likes, dislikes, daily schedule, etc. Matthew’s home was very clean and roomy. Melissa and her family did such a good job taking care of Luna for a LONG 17 days! Luna is high energy and needed a place to feel safe but also a home away from home, and Melisaa provided that. She sent daily photos of Luna. Luna loved playing with her sons and Wishbone, the family dog. We will use Melissa again and recommend you give her a try!
Emma is the best! I really appreciated the quick communication regarding drop off and pick up times, and the pictures and updates she sent throughout the day while watching my pup! He had so much fun with Emma and Lani, and I felt so at ease knowing how well he was being taken of!
John is a saint and Remy loves him so much. This was Remy’s first stay at John’s new location and it went extremely well. John kept him safe on all drives and walks. He even gave him a bath. We are truly lucky to have John in our lives and plan to keep working with him (Remy can’t wait to go back).
