“We finally don't need to worry when leaving town. So happy that we've found Danielle, her husband and their sweet boy, Shiro. Seeing Bamba sleeping on her back, with legs wide open - I knew she felt safe and happy there. It almost feels like she's sad to come back home after having an awesome week. Thanks guys! You'll see Bamba again very soon!”

“We had an amazing experience with Miranda and her family! Our dog was so well cared for, and they took the time that was necessary to let her adjust slowly. We have already rebooked for a trip planned later in the year! Excellent experience!”

“Maria was so wonderful with Poppy! She sent frequent updates and was very quick to respond to messages. She took Poppy on daily walks and made sure she got enough exercise. I felt very safe leaving Poppy with Maria and will definitely have Maria watch Poppy again.”

“Scooby was treated like a king! Kayla’s kids always made sure he was nice and comfortable. Her husband took him on runs and he was made to feel like part of the family. We will definitely use Kayla again.”

“This was the first night away from home for my rescue pup who is extremely attached. Donna took some time prior to his stay to meet us both. I knew after our 1st meeting that My pup was going to be in great hands. Donna is knowledgeable, caring and a true professional. I highly recommend!!”

“Mike was great at communicating leading up to and during the boarding. Our dog Frankie warmed up to Mike and his wife Sherri very quickly. She got lots of exercise and was in such a happy mood when we picked her up. We were very happy to meet Mike and will be excited to have Frankie visit again.”

“It’s taken a long time for us to find someone we trust with our big girl Bonnie! We can’t say enough good things about Charis and family. They took such amazing care of our girl. She had so much fun and came back to us after 5 days totally pooped after all the fun she had with the daycare pups. The whole family was so sweet to her and she felt right at home and had a great vacation! We will 100% be coming back for daycare play dates and boarding! 10/10!!”

“Thank you for taking excellent care of Plum!! It was a big help knowing she was in great hands with people who care about her. She’s looking forward to returning! Thank you!”

“Luisa took great care of Hank and shared many wonderful updates during his stay! As first time clients, we were very appreciative of her availability for a meet and greet where Hank got meet a number of the other pups and get familiar with her space!”

“James was great! We only gave him a six-day notice but he was able to do a meet & greet and book us within that time frame. Our dogs hadn't been boarded since they were a few months old so they were a little anxious and nervous, but I felt like they were in good hands while we were away for several days. Very reasonable cost. If your dog(s) can be left alone for the work day, I recommend.”

“Mia had such a good time staying with Kirsten. She made so many new friends. The communication with Kirsten was great. Lived the photos and videos. We’ll definitely book with Kirsten again.”

“Kristin took my booking at the last minute and made time to come meet us before hand. She also went out of her way to pick up and drop off our dog which is NOT something she typically offers. It was a huge relief to find help for a very senior dog at the last minute.”

“Kevin and Kandice were fantastic! Our little pup is pretty reactive generally but they clearly know how to work with dogs and put him at ease right away. They were great communicators, were able to be flexible about pickup time, and just overall exceeded our expectations on every front. We will definitely call them again!”

“Having your pup stay with Jennifer is amazing. I really appreciated the meet and greet prior to setting up time with her. Then we booked a practice day before leaving her overnight for a long weekend. We have never left our dog with anyone before and we felt really comfortable she was in a cozy spot. There were little dog beds all over the living room and Jennifer said it was okay for her to sleep in her bed too. She sent some cute photos while we were gone. And the second time we came, our little one was happy to go in. Now we feel more flexibility to leave our dog while we take a trip in future!”

“Alyssa was so wonderful to work with. She is very personable and communicative about all of our dogs needs. I appreciated that she has a great set up for animals, clean, and warm hearted with our dog. I recommend her and would be happy to book her again.”

About: I've spent a few different winters working for a doggy daycare where you need to arrange a schedule for each dog to go walk and go play. Some days we would have forty plus dogs all needing care and attention. I've also volunteered a substantial amount on many organic farms and working with all sorts of animals, learning how to read different animal personalities and manage their care I currently work from home and on the side have picked up many gigs and different short term services to fill the gaps in my schedule. Dog visits and walks are one of my favorite ways to break the day up and make it less boring. Feeding according to owners schedule and multiple short walks each day. I own a small property surrounded by virgin forest where dogs love to go and explore or for more fragile dogs can walk/play around small yards or dog friendly parks. I will always respect a clients home as a client and will never take advantage of the trust I am given for these type of jobs
“This is our first time leaving Nigel with someone other than a family or friend and Samantha did great! She checked in and sent pictures throughout his stay. We love how she is a single dog home since Nigel is much more of a people person. Her home is very dog friendly and safe. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
