About: 4 years doing volunteer week for shelters and a life time of loving on critters with fur and scales alike I have vast knowledge and the enthusiasm to learn! About: I have had multiple dogs since college, never more than a month or two without. I appreciate their different personalities and am responsive to individual needs and preferences. I love to run and dogs continue to get me out there, in all weather conditions. I work full time in Wallingford and have flexibility to work remotely or from home. I am happy to take your dog for a walk or run during the day and prefer to have a companion with me. I have busy teenagers at home (in school) and it's nice on occasion to leave the chaos for a home stay with your dog. I welcome dogs of all sizes, different energy levels and special instructions. Puppies are welcome as are cats and other animals.

She was always considerate of his condition ensuring that he kept a comfortable pace on their walks together. Mel consistently updated my Rover card with pics and a blurb about their mini-adventures together. She reliably administered Sammy’s medication, spoiled him with an appropriate amount of treats and always made sure to leave him with a fresh water bowl. Mel was there to help when needed even offering to board Sammy for a weekend when I needed to head out of town. End of life care is never easy for all those involved which is all you need to know about Mel’s compassion for our pets. Your pet will be in good hands with Mel there to look after them.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for about 6 years and have raised three dogs of my own, so caring for dogs is truly second nature to me! I’ve worked with all kinds of personalities, reactive dogs, shy or nervous pups, and super energetic dogs, and I always take the time to meet them where they’re at! I’m very patient and pay close attention to body language and behavior, which helps me build trust, especially with dogs who need a little extra reassurance or structure! On dog walks, I use secure leashes and harnesses, pay close attention to my surroundings, and go at a pace that’s comfortable for each dog. I’m careful around other dogs, traffic, and anything that might stress them out! For drop-in visits, I make sure pets feel relaxed and happy in their own home. I follow your instructions for feeding, potty breaks, playtime, or medications, and I keep routines consistent so pets feel safe and comfortable. I also send updates and photos so you know your furry friends are doing well! I treat every home and pet like they’re my own, and I make sure both feel respected and cared for!

About: Hi! I am a stay-at-home mom of two human babies and two fur babies. I previously worked in upstate NY for a dog training company, My Dog Hikes, as a dog hiker where we took dogs from NYC into the woods for full day dog-care fun. Because of this I am comfortable giving medication and training commands. I also have a Cattle Dog (Clayton) and Black Lab (Tarzan) of my own. I would love to take your little ones on the trails, play fetch in the yard, or just snuggle on the couch with lots of pets. I have a generally very open schedule so can work around any timeframe you might need! As childcare is very expensive, please note before booking me that my youngest son, Eli (2.5), will be joining me on some jobs. We can always meet beforehand to see if it's a good fit! As I am a stay-at-home mom your typical work week is when I am available and I can be flexible around your schedule! I can also stop by to spend some time with your loved pets on the weekend so you can go enjoy a trip away. (: I do not care for dogs in my own home as my Lab does not like other dogs. In your home, however, I will follow whatever instructions you have to the letter! I love pets of all kinds and can't wait to spend more time with yours. I have experience working with a dog training/walking company in NYC and am comfortable with a wide array of instructions.
