“Melody and Rufus enjoyed their time with Anne. Anne took great care of them both and we will be having her take them both for walks weekly. Thank you for being so great with our dogs💕”

“Sarah was fantastic with our pup!! Looking forward to having her help with walking our boy in the future! We’re happy to recommend her for any and all dog walking needs!”
“Emma was great with Luke! She took him on some of his favorite walks in the short time she got to watch him. She was punctual on her visits and remembered to lock our doors after she leaves 😉. With the normal app glitches, which affected us both, aside - it was a good experience and we would seek her out again.”

“Natascha was an amazing rover for Kirk! He enjoyed being walked by her so much, he walked more then the will let me walk him. Very understanding and great with Kirk and his shyness of other dogs!”

“Lily was so incredible and my two pups love her! She was incredibly punctual, kind, and professional. My dogs were so happy to see her each day and I would highly recommend her to anyone to take the best care of your fur babies.”

About: I have been taking care of others pets for about 5 years now and have had family pets of the furry, feathered, and scaly varieties my entire life. I've mucked stalls, scooped poop, cleaned cat boxes, all of the not so glamorous parts, and have enjoyed walking, playing and spending quality time while meeting each furry friends every day needs. I currently have a French Bulldog named Sophie and a Leopard Gecko named Leo who I have loved taking care of every day! I am currently on summer vacation so I am free every day except for one vacation I have planned in August (which is blocked out on my calendar). I am able and willing to stay as many days as you need in your home any time of the week with your pets. I am very flexible with my schedule so I can extend stays if needed. I plan on getting a regularly scheduled job after summer so my schedule will be less open but after communication I can let you know if I am available or not. My basic pet care will include bringing pets to the bathroom about every 2-4 hours, feeding pets required amount told by owners, playing with pets multiple times a day, cleaning up after pets, and any other special care instructions given by owners. Care may vary depending on the type of animal.

“Love Mary Elizabeth’s quick responses, flexibility and updates on our pup! She takes the time to give him extra belly rubs and send pics too! Greatly appreciated as a first time Rover user!”

“Baldar always has a great time with Nicole. He starts barking as soon as he hears her pull up the road. He sometimes looks for her, at their normal walk time, on days she isn't scheduled.”

“So glad Anne could help out with my dogs! They have a hard time being alone for too long, and having her walk them and spend time with them was wonderful. Definitely recommend her!”

“Michele was awesome! She was quick to respond and great at communicating. I enjoyed the photos she sent of my dog during her walk. She was even willing to drive my dog to a super awesome park. Highly recommend!”

About: I've spent a few different winters working for a doggy daycare where you need to arrange a schedule for each dog to go walk and go play. Some days we would have forty plus dogs all needing care and attention. I've also volunteered a substantial amount on many organic farms and working with all sorts of animals, learning how to read different animal personalities and manage their care I currently work from home and on the side have picked up many gigs and different short term services to fill the gaps in my schedule. Dog visits and walks are one of my favorite ways to break the day up and make it less boring. Feeding according to owners schedule and multiple short walks each day. I own a small property surrounded by virgin forest where dogs love to go and explore or for more fragile dogs can walk/play around small yards or dog friendly parks. I will always respect a clients home as a client and will never take advantage of the trust I am given for these type of jobs
About: I have a family history of love for animals. I previously worked in a dog boarding and daycare facility. I have worked with all sorts of pets from snakes, cows, goats, sheep, cows, horses, chickens, lizards and of course dogs and cats. I have done approximately a dozen pet sitting and dog walking jobs on Rover and hope for more soon. I previously was taking care of dogs professionally at a dog day care. I can walk based on avoiding other dogs or to encourage socializing and am used to both. Let's meet and see what I can help you with! I can spend as little or as much time as your pooch is used to. Let me massage your dog and create a vacation for them while you're away. I have stayed in hundreds of other peoples homes and strive to keep a clean environment. My schedule is open. I previously worked in a dog day care and boarding and currently am doing full time house sitting for others in the pet community. Make a reservation with me soon I have been trusted in others homes hundred of times around the world through my travels and backpacking. You can rest assured I will protect your pets and watch over your home to be the way it was when you left it. (My Place) We have a micro farm in Manchester on a fenced quarter acre near the forest. We will take long walks in the forest to watch birds and sniff around. I mostly have outdoor space as indoor space is limited to an RV and Camping area. Boarding and day care are in our fenced property. There are neighbors dogs that can visit the fence as well as chickens so I cannot accept dogs that might lash out to other animals. I have done animal care in various countries and for locals 20 years. I have all of the qualifications for taking excellent and quality care. I am all about spending time for your pets needs.
“Amanda is the best! We love her and more importantly, Mack (our dog) loves her! She is great with communication, always goes above and beyond, and we are so thankful for her! Thanks for everything Amanda!”

About: I have always had pets in my home. Cats, dogs, reptiles, rodents! Love all animals! I can't imagine not having animals in my life! I've recently retired and am looking forward to doing the things I love and hanging out with animals is one of the things I love! I have helped many friends with their pets and am ready to expand my services. If I would be staying at your house I wouldn't have any other obligations to interfere with the time I could spend with your pet. If you just need visits I'm also available for that. Please contact me and we can talk about your pet family and how I can help you take care of your pet. Looking forward to meeting both of you! I'm a retired grandma with time on my hands! I love going on walks and relaxing with pets around me. I can adjust my schedule to yours! Let me know what your pets needs and wants are and that is what they will get! Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Burley
Great walker! She responded quickly to my inquiry, had great availability, showed up on time for our meet & greet and walk, and was warm and personable with me and my pup :) Great communication on walks with lots of pictures and considerate notes that werent too lengthy or too short. Perfect level of detail for my comfort that she and my dog had a great time. I was really amazed that she went so far as to wash my dog's bowl after dinner time - so thoughtful! She even followed up with a sweet and positive note after the booking. I highly recommend Lydia and we will be for sure booking with her again!

John did a great job walking our dog! He spent a few minutes upon his arrival to calm her anxiety prior to the walk. He was flexible with a new time when requested less than 24 hours prior to the appointment. He sent a report card and informed me how she was on the walk afterwards. I trust him and would definitely book with John in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
