“Melody and Rufus enjoyed their time with Anne. Anne took great care of them both and we will be having her take them both for walks weekly. Thank you for being so great with our dogs💕”

“Emma was great with Luke! She took him on some of his favorite walks in the short time she got to watch him. She was punctual on her visits and remembered to lock our doors after she leaves 😉. With the normal app glitches, which affected us both, aside - it was a good experience and we would seek her out again.”

Thank you for taking the time to look over my profile! I am staying at home with my 3 kids. I have a lot of extra time to care for your fur babies! All you need to do is schedule me! When taking on your pet they become a priority. Anything that you need done or any instructions you have for your pet I will follow to the T. While also keeping you informed and letting you know how things are going with pictures and messages!
“Natascha was an amazing rover for Kirk! He enjoyed being walked by her so much, he walked more then the will let me walk him. Very understanding and great with Kirk and his shyness of other dogs!”

“I can't say enough good things about the care she provided for Ellie. She was reliable, communicative, and genuinely cared about her, which gave me a lot of peace of mind on the days I had to be in the office. Ellie absolutely loved seeing her, and it was obvious from the beginning that she treated her as more than just another dog on her schedule. She was also great about keeping me updated and letting me know how the walks went, and I always knew Ellie was in good hands. I really appreciated the care, attention, and consistency she provided, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their dog.”

“Fantastic walker. She is so kind and you can tell just how much she loves animals. As it’s been getting hotter, she has made sure to check pavement temperatures so it isn’t too hot and is so flexible with making the walks earlier when it’s cooler. Really impressed and absolutely fantastic!”

“Chance is great, consistent, and our Woogs is very happy with the walks. Fully recommend him as very solid walker, especially for big dogs that like to pull and/or are high energy (ours is ~90 lbs). Our Woogs is looking forward to many more walks with Chance :)”

“i cannot say enough good things about Solace! the pictures and videos with every visit are something i always look forward to and she’s always so descriptive with her end of visit summaries ☺️ i never want to use anyone else when i go away! thank you for your amazing care and dedication!”

About: I’ve always had pets growing up and have always seen them as family. I’ll treat your family like my own! I’ll listen to you and them! I can check in with them in the morning and evening. I am all theirs after work just in time for walks and check ins. I care for pets just as if they’re family. I am flexible to their routines. I am also flexible towards things they like or do not like.
“Brian stepped in when our summer walker for River was out of town. And we’re so glad he did. An incredibly compassionate caretaker of dogs. We trusted Brian with our best boy both immediately and implicitly! Thank you Brian!”

About: I love dogs! I'm happy to reinforce any training as needed. I also love to take dogs on local adventures and walks in the surrounding areas. I'm currently a grad student and will be needing to make some extra money starting next month. I will be on a semi flexible schedule allowing for pet sitting and house sitting. I'm trustworthy and will follow through on any needs expressed. I appreciate clear and direct communication. If a specific request is unclear, I will ask.
About: I saved my Chihuahua, Thistle, from a kill shelter when he was 18 months old. I nursed him through being hit by a car, helped him gain weight from being underfed, and encouraged him to be a confident dog (he was extremely anxious) through training and gentle love and care. From this, I learned how to administer medications to animals, so I can provide this kind of care to your fur babies also. My Chihuahua is now a senior dog, but you wouldn’t be able to tell with how active he is! He gets lots of walks and play time, and he loves it best when I get on the floor with him. I am comfortable getting to know your pet and giving them the level and type of attention that they need! I looked into breed specific care, and Chihuahuas have weaker joints, so I put him on a joint supplement right when I got him, and it has really made a difference in his mobility and quality of life. It’s important to administer care to animals in the specific way that is best for them! I would show the same consideration to your pet. That includes factoring in their temperament. As my dog has gotten older, his needs around personal boundaries have increased, so I make sure to check in with him before petting him, picking him up, or otherwise touching him, and I do not touch him if he gives me a no, except in an actual emergency (i.e. the animal could be hurt or hurt someone else if I do not touch them). Instead, I do something else and check in again later. This allows me to establish a real felt sense of safety and trust with your pet. I also had cats all growing up, and have a real affection for them, as well as a clear understanding of their boundaries. I would be honored to care for your pet family just as I care for mine! I currently freelance, which means I have the freedom to take care of your pets whenever you need me to. I can be flexible to your needs. As my dog is a people’s dog and not a dog’s dog, I offer my services in your home. I can walk your pet, do a drop-in visit, or housesit! I will follow your instructions to the letter, and ask about any specific or special care your pet might need.
About: Whether your pup needs a leisurely walk, some exercise, or just a little company, I’m happy to help! I’m comfortable following your dog’s routine and making sure they get plenty of attention and care. My schedule varies due to my full-time job, but I’m often available for walks as early as 8:30 AM! DM me for scheduling details. I am available daily, however my hours vary weekly. I am often available starting early in the day! If your dog needs a morning or midday walk, DM me! I prioritize safety, communication, and following each pet’s routine. I’ll always follow your instructions, keep pets supervised, and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for.
About: I have been taking care of others pets for about 5 years now and have had family pets of the furry, feathered, and scaly varieties my entire life. I currently have a French Bulldog named Sophie and a Leopard Gecko named Leo who I have loved taking care of every day! I am currently on summer vacation so I am free every day except for one vacation I have planned in August (which is blocked out on my calendar). I am able and willing to stay as many days as you need in your home any time of the week with your pets. I am very flexible with my schedule so I can extend stays if needed. I plan on getting a regularly scheduled job after summer so my schedule will be less open but after communication I can let you know if I am available or not. My basic pet care will include bringing pets to the bathroom about every 2-4 hours, feeding pets required amount told by owners, playing with pets multiple times a day, cleaning up after pets, and any other special care instructions given by owners. Care may vary depending on the type of animal.

Nicole and her son have been absolutely wonderful. I cannot speak highly enough of them. I have a very anxious dog, and Nicole has been so patient, persistent, loving, and kind throughout the entire process. She is always prompt, sends pictures, keeps me updated, and even works with my other puppy on behavior. I highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable, honest, trustworthy, and exceptional pet care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
