I grew up surrounded by family pets. Whenever my parents went out for vacations I would stay at their house to spend time and care for their pets. From walks to feeding and quality time snuggles; I've been blessed to care for and love the beautiful creatures we've been graced to be in companionship with. I don't have any special training, but I love animals and will treat your family with as much care as I would treat my own. I can't wait to meet and care for your animals as well! I'm currently looking for work so I'm very free at the moment. I've loved animals since I was very young so if I could get more into pet care I'd love that. I don't have a place of my own to take care of pets. However, I have taken care of pets in other houses quite often over the years. Your house is your safe place. As someone who is introverted, I know how important a safe place is. With that in mind, I will treat your home with same respect and sanctity that I treat my own if I visit to care for your little ones. Any rules and/or guidelines for your property, I will follow to the best of my abilities to ensure you come back to the same, if not better home than you left from. About: I have had dogs in my family since I can remember, including a husky, shiba inus, a rescued staffordshire terrier, red labrador, and an icelandic sheepdog. I have experience training them as puppies, including walking, tricks, and obedience. I have experience walking 2-3 dogs at once, as well as experience with elderly dogs and health issues, including a seizure disorder and asthmatic symptoms. I’m comfortable with different routines, energy levels, and personalities—and I always make sure every dog feels safe, happy, and cared for. I work Thursday–Sunday afternoons starting around 2, and my mornings are usually reserved for staying active—walks, workouts, or anything that gets me moving. About: I have worked in veterinary medicine for 10 years (6 years with Companion Animal Wellness Center and 2 years with Tender Touch Animal Hospital, and two years with animal emergency and speciality center) and I also worked in animal rescue for two years at Pasado's Safe Haven. I teach special education now and so am pretty busy during the school year. If my 12 year old son can come, he’s great with animals too, and I can be more flexible then. Feel free to ask me if something will work! Over the summer I am very available, only needing to be home for about 4-6 hours a day to take care of my own dog. If your dogs are pet social and you don’t have cats ( too fun to chase!), I can stay all day. During the school year, I am gone from 7am until 5 or 6pm, so realistically can only do weekends or solely overnight care. I know the level of trust it takes to leave your fur children with someone new. I will follow your directions and try to keep things as steady for them as possible. My son and I love animals of all shapes and sizes and we love playing with and spending time with them.
