I currently have new clientele openings for one-time and weekly care! Last Updated: 4/16 During five years of business, I have had the privilege of caring for >750 critter pals in the Kitsap area! It has been a joy to make this my full-time job and offer care 7 days a week. ⭐️ I have thirteen years of professional experience with animals (dogs, cats, horses, goats, etc.). My "summer school" was working at my family’s doggy daycare, so “disgusting-animal-stuff” is basically my specialty! I am happy to work with pets that need an extra hand in medical care. Including specialty diets, medication (topical, eye drops, oral, insulin, etc.), and mobility aid. I am also a dog/cat/horse momma! Nezzy is my Great Pyrenees & Cattle Dog mix who came into my life as an eight week old rescue from Tiajuana. I have been through the puppy blues, the teenage angst, the “why is there pee all over the kitchen” days…and oh boy - it is a lot! Which is why I am here to help! I know how hard it can be to worry about your pups/cats while you’re at work, and it can seem like you’ll never take a vacation again. That doesn’t have to be the case! * Bear is the newest addition to my pet family, a 10 year old AQHA gelding. I have long-term experience with farmyard friends and am happy to look after any of your herd as well.

AMAZING. Solace was absolutely amazing with our spunky shy one year old mastiff. Completely trustworthy in our home and with our pup. Would definitely book her again!
Solace was wonderful with my two dogs! She came by early each morning to feed them and returned in the evening to do the same, always making sure they got let out to relieve themselves. One of my pups got sick and she cleaned it up without any fuss. She kept me updated the whole time with great photos and clear communication. I felt totally at ease knowing my dogs were in good hands. She also reset the cats litter robots when they had error lights. Highly recommend!
Excellent Solace is a dog whisperer. My German shepherd can be challenging but Solace was calm and patient.

When a child (dog) care emergency popped up at the last minute, I re-downloaded the Rover app, desperately hoping to find someone willing to do a drop-in visit on such short notice. Solace was the first Rover I saw listed in my area, and she coincidentally also had a ton of five-star reviews. I sent her a message and she responded quickly and was able to schedule two visits per day for two days. We didn't have enough time to squeeze in a meet-and-greet (like I said, short notice), so instead she sent me a thoughtfully laid out questionnaire to make the visit as smooth as possible. She followed our instructions flawlessly and was so good to our dogs, we couldn’t have asked for someone better! She truly is an animal lover! This is my first Rover experience, and she set the bar extremely high, tippy-top if you will. While I don’t wish for another emergency to pop up, I do hope that we get to work with Solace again in the future, she’s truly a hidden gem.

Schedule
I am available 6:00AM-9:00PM Monday-Sunday. I do have an internship and pet-care requirements for my own critters, please reach out for the most up to date availability.

In my client’s home I practice respect first and foremost. Even friendly pets have bad days, and even normal days have bad moments! I will always respect your pet’s needs and boundaries, and adapt to work around them.
Pets
A typical day
I focus on meeting any animal where they are at. I use a mixture of companionship, enrichment, and physical activity to make sure that they are content when their fur-parents are occupied. I do not offer training at this time, but any "on the go" behavioral work is strictly positive reinforcement.
