Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. Before any booking, I make sure to ask detailed questions about your pet’s care, routine, health needs, and any potential risks to be fully prepared. I carefully follow all care instructions and appreciate every detail you can share - no piece of information is too small! My goal is to make you feel completely confident that your pets are in safe, loving hands. I have extensive hands-on experience caring for pets with medical conditions, mobility issues, and anxiety from personal experience. From administering medication and doing light rehab to adjusting routines for senior pets, I offer gentle, attentive care tailored to their unique needs. I understand how important stability and trust are - especially for pets who need a little extra time or support. I’ve cared for animals recovering from illness, adjusting to limb loss, or needing behavioral patience, and I do so with kindness and calm. I’ll always follow your pet’s care instructions to the best of my abilities, and communicate openly so you feel reassured every step of the way. Whether it’s a shy rescue, a senior with arthritis, or a pet on a strict medical routine, I’ll make sure they feel safe, understood, and deeply cared for.

Information Valerie E. would like to know about your pet
I know how hard it can be to leave your pet in someone else’s care; they’re not just animals, they’re family. That’s why I take the time to listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and make sure I understand not just your pet’s needs, but your concerns too. I love learning everything I can about your pet’s communication style, social habits, preferences, and boundaries. The more you share, the better I can tailor my care to help your pet feel safe, understood, and happy. There’s truly no such thing as “too much information.” I also welcome meet-and-greets in a relaxed setting, free of charge. And if your pet needs extra time to adjust, we can schedule a supervised drop-in visit to ease the transition. My goal is to support both you and your pet, and to earn your trust every step of the way.
A typical day
A typical day with me involves lots of snuggles, playtime, and making sure your pets feel safe and cared for. If allowed, your pets are welcome to sleep on the bed with me during overnight stays, so they feel right at home. I always carry treats to encourage positive experiences - but of course, I’ll follow your guidelines on treats, food, and any other special preferences. Whether it’s a fun walk, a cozy nap, or extra playtime, I’ll tailor each visit to your pet’s individual needs and personality.

I’m patient, loving, and confident working with pets who might need a little extra care; whether that’s senior animals, shy or anxious pets, or those with special routines. What I Offer: - Dog Walking: Leisurely strolls, brisk walks, jogs, or even hikes - I’ll tailor the walk to your pup’s energy level and needs. - Drop-In Visits: Whether it’s feeding time, a potty break, playtime, or medication administration, I’ll make sure your pet gets exactly what they need while you’re away. - House Sitting: I’ll stay overnight to keep your pets company in their familiar environment. This includes feeding, walking, litter box cleaning, medication (if needed), playtime, and lots of cuddles. - Pet Updates: You’ll always receive regular texts and photo updates, so you can travel or work stress-free knowing your pets are happy and cared for. I’ll always keep you posted with any updates and/or questions that may arise. - Special Care: I’m experienced with nervous, senior, and special needs pets, and I always approach them with patience, kindness, and respect. I’m happy to follow any specific routines, medication schedules, mobility needs, or comfort habits you have in place to help your pet feel safe, loved, and at ease while you’re away. A Few Extras: - Snuggles and treats are always included (with your permission)! - I’m happy to water plants, bring in mail, and keep your home tidy during house-sitting stays. - I treat every pet like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and stress-free while you’re away. Let me give your pets the care, attention, and love they deserve while you’re away!

Reviews

Valerie is excellent she took great care of my little boy, gave detailed notes and cute pictures. Valerie definitely made me feel at ease with leaving him home while I was at work and couldn’t bring him with me. Thank you so much!

Grace loved Valerie! I could tell from pics they really hit it off! Much gratitude. Would rover again!

I did not think we were ever going to be able to take mom on an outing since she adopted Dono the Velcro Dog with anxiety issues. But then we found Valarie, she has been coming to take Donno twice a week for walks and to learn a few manners. Mothers day was the first day we took Dono to Valarie’s for day care. After a brief sniff around the front yard Valerie stepped outside to say hello and he went nuts he was so excited to see her. She kept us in the loop during this first stay and set pictures showing him playing and bright eyed. The entire family was able to visit in a special place were dogs are not permitted knowing he was safe and happy (most of the time).

Valarie has been a good sport a great addition to my senior mom’s routine. Some how my parents in their 9th decade of life came home from the shelter with a very anxious (heavily medicated) recently castrated untrained Mini Auzzie. With memory issues working with a professional trainer was not enough because of a problem with consistency . Mom and her new best friend lived watching movies together and organizing things but Doniwitz became increasingly protective an engaged in resource guarding and stranger danger. We asked Valerie to come several times a week to befriend, walk and play with the freaky little guy so he would get a bit more stimulation and act as a respite care giver next time my folks want to leave the house at the same time. We find Valerie to be calm, creative and playful in the way she coaxes Donowitz out for an adventure and he is learning to trust her. She is an excellent choice for pet care, reliable and communicative.
