“Katherine and her son have quickly become our favorite doggy nanny’s for Java by far. They spend special attention and kept to our instructions for our little guy. It really shows how much they love animals. On the first sitting Java had a hard time letting them leave. Thank you again for both of your wonderful.”

“Anna was so fantastic! I’m so thankful for her help with our cat and dog. She was very communicative and easy to work with. We highly recommend her and will be using her in the future.”

About: I’m new to Rover! I love animals! Theres a dulplicated review glitch on my profile so if anyone can give me a chance to care for your little ones I’d be grateful. I grew up surrounded by family pets. Whenever my parents went out for vacations I would stay at their house to spend time and care for their pets. From walks to feeding and quality time snuggles; I've been blessed to care for and love the beautiful creatures we've been graced to be in companionship with. I don't have any special training, but I love animals and will treat your family with as much care as I would treat my own. I can't wait to meet and care for your animals as well! I'm currently looking for work so I'm very free at the moment. I've loved animals since I was very young so if I could get more into pet care I'd love that. I don't have a place of my own to take care of pets. However, I have taken care of pets in other houses quite often over the years. Your house is your safe place. As someone who is introverted, I know how important a safe place is. With that in mind, I will treat your home with same respect and sanctity that I treat my own if I visit to care for your little ones. Any rules and/or guidelines for your property, I will follow to the best of my abilities to ensure you come back to the same, if not better home than you left from. With regard to your pets at home, you can tell me freely what things there are to keep in mind. The more I know about your pet, the better quality of service I can provide you and your pet with. I am open to discussions about home care options as well, if that is something you are looking for. (Things like yard care, cleaning, etc.)
“Unfortunately we had to find a new rover sitter which can be a bit of a process to find the right fit for your furry baby. After our first meeting with Lisa, my husband and I and Khloe knew right away she was the perfect match! We would highly recommend her for house sitting as well as drop in or walks! Thank you again Lisa for taking such great care of Khloe and she can't wait for your next stay!”

“Could not be happier with the care Cara provided for our big ole mama dog while we were gone. Almost want to plan another trip just so they can hang out again! I recommend Cara without hesitation.”

“Autumn was wonderful. Pax loved her immediately, it’s how she interacts with him that made him feel comfortable and safe in the first second of meeting. Autumn is very quick to respond and we love the updates and pictures.”
“Michael looked after my four small dogs recently. I can’t recommend him more highly. Michael is a great communicator, intuitive with my dogs and responded to each of their needs accordingly. Michael notified me immediately of any potential issues. This is reassuring as a dog owner of two special needs pups (a diabetic, insulin dependent dog and one with separation anxiety and collapsed trachea.) Caring person, who is responsible and proactive. Highly recommended.”

“Great communication and experience with Chloe - did an amazing job during an overnight sitting so that we could enjoy a rare “date night” over in Seattle. Nice updates and photos during our absence. Will use again!”

“Penny was wonderful and watched our, my sister's, and my parent's dogs all day the day of my wedding! She was truly a life-saver and came over even though she wasn't feeling well that morning because she didn't want to leave us high and dry on that day. Definitely book with her!!”

“Valerie is hands down someone who will care for your pets like they’re her own. She went above and beyond our expectations while watching our dog Fern and our cats for five days while we were out of state. After some less-than-great experiences in the past, I can confidently say those days are over. Valerie gave us total peace of mind — we came home to happy, well-cared-for animals and a house that felt just right. We will absolutely be booking her again.”

“Annette was INCREDIBLE! Will book again and HIGHLY recommend. She was professional, polite, and obviously loved our girls. We left notes, but loved how she picked up on their personalities and tried to make them comfortable while we were away. She stayed at our house and provided timely updates with photos. Her interactions with us and our pups eased our nerves and allowed us to enjoy our trip. Very respectful and clean house guest. Our girls love Annette and can't wait for their next bonding time. Thank you!”

“Lisa has watched our pup several times and she always goes above and beyond! She spends so much time playing with him, sends great pictures and videos, and leaves our home spotless! Our pup is reactive and not great on walks so she took him on a special sniff spot visit this trip to give him a fun outing. We love Lisa!!”

“Ariana did an amazing job. She was very proactive with status updates and kept me informed daily about everything Dexter was up to. I was able to enjoy my trip worry-free knowing my dog was in good hands. 10/10, will book again.”

“Heather was extremely helpful in agreeing to watch our two beagles over the 4th of July for us! She was an excellent sitter, and we felt at peace knowing she was looking after our home and boys while we were gone. Heather was extremely communicative, sent lots of pictures and updates, and even brought her kids to play with the boys so they’d have lots of company. Heather administered medicines and was even kind enough to pick up a few packages for us. We’d highly recommend Heather as someone who will take care of your home and pets while sending some great photos to boot. Thank you very much for helping us out, Heather!”

“Tabutha was wonderful with my animals and my home while I was gone. I came back to happy relaxed dogs and alpacas and a clean, tidy house. My foster dog has very high anxiety and she bonded with Tabutha in just a day or so. I will definitely ask Tabutha to house sit for me again.”

“This was my first experience with Rover and actually my first time being away from my dog Niko. I was so fortunate to have Amanda accept the house sitting and dog watching opp! Could tell right away that she's a kind and honest person and perfect to spend some time with Niko. Amanda's communication was top-notch and she answered all of my questions. During her time with Niko she sent me lots of photos and videos of all the adventures from the weekend! Niko split the time between Amanda's house and mine and when I got home the house was super clean. Amanda went above and beyond and I look forward to working with her again. Niko def misses her and the weekend experiences.”

“As a somewhat anxious, first-time Rover user, Sophia immediately put me at ease with her friendly, professional demeanor and desire to make a connection with my cat upon our first meeting. I left on vacation feeling confident that my pet was well cared for. Sophia kindly sent photos and updates to ensure that my cat was adjusting well in my absence. I returned to a happy cat and home just as I left it. I would, without reservation, happily recommend Sophia for pet care needs.”

“I was only gone for two nights, but I could tell Emmanuelle loved my fur babies like they were her own. I got lots of pictures and text updates, and she was always responsive when I reached out. I will absolutely book with her again!”
“Katey was amazing. She was very communicative and attuned to my pets needs and personalities. She was reliable and I came home to happy pets. I would definitely use her again!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bremerton
We were thrilled with Autumn when she cared for our pets over the weekend and would request her help again in a heartbeat. The animals were all well cared for and we received periodic updates while we were gone. Though I am not a fastidious housekeeper, on our return I was excited to find clean floors and trash emptied!

Valerie was incredible! We have two spoiled pugs and one of them is not well mannered, barks non stop and has separation anxiety/issues. He is great with his parents but we were very concerned with having someone else watch him for 2 days. She was very patient and understanding of his needs, very punctual and communicative. We got update pictures and texts and the house was left perfectly. Would definitely rebook if we ever had another event we could not have our pups. And absolutely would recommend!! 11/10

Lani was great! She was very on top of everything. Asked questions I didn’t even think about and wanted to make sure both sides were comfortable. When we returned it’s was like we never left. She did everything we asked around the house and the doggies were very happy. I highly recommend Lani and we will definitely ask her to watch our home and doggies again. Thank you
Kaitlyn was great. She took care of our pups while we were gone and did an amazing job! She also made sure our chickens were fed and watered as well as our plants. We felt completely comfortable with her caring for everything while gone and would hire her again! Thanks Kaitlyn!
I don't really want to give Michael a great review because I want to keep him all for myself! He did an amazing job! Paco, my small chihuahua, is leery of men and Michael completely won him over! He was at my home the entire time and my house was spotless when I returned.
James took very good care of Tyson while I was on vacation! He’s got a positive vibe and gently allowed Tyson to get comfy on his own terms and timeline. He sent pics everyday that captured Tyson’s daily outings and activities! That helped ease my mind knowing he was happy and in good hands. I would definitely hire James again. Two thumbs up from me and four paws up from Ty 🐶 Thank you, James!

Mary Elizabeth was kind, thorough and attentive to our pets. We would certainly choose her again as a sitter. She went above and beyond, even taking out the trash and ensuring our home was clean before our return. Her responsiveness, and photos of our fur babies while we were away, gave us the reassurance they were in good hands.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bremerton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bremerton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bremerton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
