Availability
Over the summer I am very available, only needing to be home for about 4-6 hours a day to take care of my own dog. If your dogs are pet social and you don’t have cats ( too fun to chase!), I can stay all day. During the school year, I am gone from 7am until 5 or 6pm, so realistically can only do weekends or solely overnight care.

I know the level of trust it takes to leave your fur children with someone new. I will follow your directions and try to keep things as steady for them as possible. My son and I love animals of all shapes and sizes and we love playing with and spending time with them.

I would like to know who they are as dogs. Do they love other dogs? Or are they more timid? What sort of tricks to do they know and enjoy doing (ie what can distract them from something else that they want)? What kind of medical concerns do they have? And finally, who is your preferred vet should something happen?
A typical day
It depends on your location. Luckily we live in a great place with lots of beautiful options to explore :) I love fetching dogs and love hikes and long walks too!

Pet care experience
I have worked in veterinary medicine for 10 years (6 years with Companion Animal Wellness Center and 2 years with Tender Touch Animal Hospital, and two years with animal emergency and speciality center) and I also worked in animal rescue for two years at Pasado's Safe Haven. I love dogs of all kinds and enjoy learning about what they enjoy and how I can help them live happy and healthy lives! I've helped two clinics implement cat friendly practice standards and have a solid understanding of cat behavior. I am comfortable giving medications and know when medical care is needed. I am also a pet owner myself and understand how important it is that you be able to trust your pet caregiver to treat them like family! I teach special education now and so am pretty busy during the school year. If my 12 year old son can come, he’s great with animals too, and I can be more flexible then. Feel free to ask me if something will work!

Autumn took great care of my rowdy cats. Sent lots of photos and seemed to enjoy them. House was left very clean. Cats were happy. Will book her again, I’m sure.
Autumn did a fabulous job for us. We have four high energy dogs who each have different medication needs. Autumn took it all in stride. She sent us frequent updates throughout our trip. We could see that the dogs were getting lots of exercise. One of our dogs can be aloof with new people. He loved her. All of our dogs seemed very comfortable. We hope that Autumn will come and stay for us again. Highly recommend!
Autumn did a wonderful job watching our dogs while we were on vacation. Our dogs responded great to her and she is clearly very comfortable and knowledgeable with dogs. She kept in constant communication with us, provided us with great pictures, and promptly let us know of any concerns she had with their routines and habits. I would not hesitate to seek help from Autumn again and I definitely recommend her services!
Autumn is one of the best dog sitters I’ve ever booked! She was very communicative, handled each dog perfectly despite their individual quirks and overall made me feel so much better about going on vacation! I absolutely recommend Autumn to look after and love your animals!
