Valarie did a great job walking our two dogs. When we had short notice that we needed coverage for our dogs while heading out of town, Valarie was quick to respond and set up a meet & greet. She agreed to take care of our girls and came as requested. She was communicative during each walk and sent great pictures. We hope she'll agree to more walks in the future!

Chance is great, consistent, and our Woogs is very happy with the walks. Fully recommend him as very solid walker, especially for big dogs that like to pull and/or are high energy (ours is ~90 lbs). Our Woogs is looking forward to many more walks with Chance :)

About: I have had dogs in my family since I can remember, including a husky, shiba inus, a rescued staffordshire terrier, red labrador, and an icelandic sheepdog. I have experience training them as puppies, including walking, tricks, and obedience. I have experience walking 2-3 dogs at once, as well as experience with elderly dogs and health issues, including a seizure disorder and asthmatic symptoms. I am currently working part-time with a very flexible schedule, and am able to prioritize your pet! I am available for walking and house-sitting or check-ins any time at the moment. Feel free to reach out and I’ll do what I can for you. At home, I prioritize my animal’s freedom and playtime as they are very energetic. While I do not board animals, I am happy to work around your schedule to make sure yours are taken care of. I can crate them, spend time outside, teach small obedience lessons or tricks to keep them busy, or provide other activities they already know in your home.

About: Lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience! I grew up with multiple dogs and have spent years walking and caring for pets, including overnight stays. I’m comfortable with different routines, energy levels, and personalities—and I always make sure every dog feels safe, happy, and cared for. Mondays–Wednesdays are my off days and my most flexible time. I work Thursday–Sunday afternoons starting around 2, and my mornings are usually reserved for staying active—walks, workouts, or anything that gets me moving. I don’t have pets currently, but I’ve grown up caring for family and friends’ dogs and I’m comfortable with most breeds, prioritizing calm, safe, attentive care.

Mary-Elizabeth is such a sweetheart, and such a professional. On short notice, she not only made time for a walk but made it a priority to make time to meet with us first. She put us at ease, and I feel confident that our pup enjoyed her presence. Thank you!

About: I’ve grown up with pets my entire life, and am currently a dog mom to my wonderful fur baby. Throughout the years I have been entrusted to go to peoples houses and care for their dogs, take care of dogs in my own home, and have even been entrusted to care for newborn puppies until they were old enough to go to their homes. I have a special place in my heart for dogs, and I absolutely love any opportunity to meet all kinds of new furry friends and personalities!

About: I have been taking care of dogs from a very young age, and I have been a professional sitter and boarder for a little over 3 years now. I recently moved to the area and am looking to rebuild my clientele. I am an animal advocate who has spent a lot of time volunteering with different agencies to help find forever homes for abandoned fur babies, and working for programs that went out and helped the homeless get the right care for their pets. I have experience with hyper pets, shy pets, large and small. I love them all the same. Let me spoil your babies while you’re away, and take comfort in knowing that they are safe and loved with me. I am currently an online student and doing a part time work from home job, so I will be home and available for them all day besides appointments or errands I have a large fenced yard that I make sure to walk the perimeter of to make sure there are no escape points. I also have a huge deck for them to lounge on and they have free roam of my home. I do have a toddler in the home, she is very shy with animals and has grown up learning the importance of being gentle and nonintrusive with them.

Alright... where to begin! Brian did a wonderful meet and greet with my boys (two newfoundlands) and walked them today without me..that may seem like a strange thing to say but Byron (my younger boy) refuses to go on a walk for anyone but me - not even my husband! He was perfectly fine on going on the walk with Sinjin (my older boy) and Brian. No temper tantrums, no refusal to walk. NONE of it. Brian took them on a good walk, they had fun and their were no problems.

About: I’m an experienced, attentive pet sitter who understands that every animal has their own personality, needs, and way of communicating. I’m comfortable administering medications, learning commands in different languages, and working with pets of all ages and temperaments. I love enriching their lives through play, mental stimulation, affection, and activities that keep them happy and engaged, not just cared for. I run my own home stewardship business, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be intentional about the time I spend with your pets. I’m an ideal fit for pets who are comfortable being home alone for up to 6 hours while I’m working. Outside of that time, I’m fully present and love providing companionship, enrichment, play, and plenty of care throughout the day. Fully capable of spending the night as well. I provide more than pet care—I provide peace of mind. I care for your pets, your home, and their routines with genuine attention and respect. I’m observant of animal behavior, attentive to safety, and dependable about following instructions. I take pride in leaving your home clean, cared for, and exactly as I’d hope to find it. While you’re away, you can feel confident knowing everything is in good hands.

Went above and beyond with dog walks and kept us abreast of all the important and interesting happenings back at home, everything we wanted, nothing we didnt. Exactly what you want from Rover

About: Ive grown up with cats and dogs my whole life. I spent a lot of time with my cousin being a breeder taking her dogs to shows, I have learned how to take care of dogs and how to approach the ones that can be a handful at times. I work a full time Monday- friday job but on my lunches I can stop by for check ins and walks and after work as well. Weekends are always open too. If doing check ins I can clean up any accidents and make sure they are fed and have water(depending on feeding schedules) and I always have local parks and routes pre planned for a good walk

She did a great job taking care of Cody while I was away. She was attentive, reliable, and kept me updated throughout the walks. Cody warmed up to her quickly, which gave me peace of mind. I really appreciated the care she showed and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker.

Seneca filled in when my regular person had to be gone for a few weeks. My very shy dog immediately took to her and had no hesitation going with her. Freckles always came back happy. I would have her walk Freckles any time I need a new walker.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Waterman Point. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Waterman Point.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Waterman Point. On Rover:

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
