About: Hi! I am a stay-at-home mom of two human babies and two fur babies. I previously worked in upstate NY for a dog training company, My Dog Hikes, as a dog hiker where we took dogs from NYC into the woods for full day dog-care fun. Because of this I am comfortable giving medication and training commands. I also have a Cattle Dog (Clayton) and Black Lab (Tarzan) of my own. I would love to take your little ones on the trails, play fetch in the yard, or just snuggle on the couch with lots of pets. I have a very open schedule so can work around any timeframe you need! As childcare is very expensive, please note before booking me that my son, Eli (3), will be joining me on jobs during the week (daytime only). We can always meet beforehand to see if it's a good fit! **Temporarily pausing in home stays until my husband returns home from deployment** As I am a stay-at-home mom your typical work week is when I am available. I can be flexible around your schedule! I can also stop by to spend some time with your pets on the weekend, so you can go enjoy a trip away. (: I do not care for dogs in my own home as my Lab does not like other dogs. In your home, however, I take care to follow all instructions closely! I take many pictures so prepare for cuteness overload. I also have experience working with a dog training/walking company in NYC and am comfortable with a wide array of needs.

Absolutely fabulous. She brought her dog Jimmy and planned to leave him in her car, while she walked my Leo, but I asked her to take Jimmy with Leo if she thought she could handle two big dogs at once. She did. She could. My Leo had a great time and made a new friend. Perfect! The pictures were so adorable.

Lelia is dependable and a great communicator. I had a hiccup with logistics and timing however she was flexible and accommodating and spent extra time with Spanky. Spanky is a shy boy and will not usually walk out of the house with a stranger, unless he is on leash. He liked Lelia enough to for a walk without being coaxed outside on his leash! I will definitely book Lelia again!

About: Experienced and Flexible Pet Sitter Ready to Pamper Your Pets! 🐶🐱 Hello there! I've been caring for pets practically since I learned to walk. Growing up, I assisted in looking after our beloved pets—a pit bull, fox terrier, and a cat—and they've been my inspiration and joy. They taught me valuable life skills like patience, attentiveness, and even training techniques! Spending quality time with furry friends has always been a cherished hobby of mine. Currently, I'm balancing my studies with a part-time job, which makes me flexible. With a heads-up, I can easily organize my schedule to cater to your pet's needs. I'm mobile and can travel as necessary to ensure your pet's comfort and happiness. Rest assured, your pets will receive the utmost care and attention. Looking forward to meeting your furry companions! I make pet care a daily priority by scheduling specific times for feeding, and exercise throughout the day. I also set aside longer periods in the morning and evening for walks and playtime. Weekly, I arrange training sessions, vet visits, and any other necessary care to keep the pets happy and healthy. (Upon request) When caring for pets in my home, they are in a welcoming environment where they're treated like family. I provide a cozy space, playtime, regular feeding schedules, and, for dogs, access to a spacious backyard. In clients' homes, I ensure to follow their instructions precisely: maintaining routines, providing necessary care, and keeping the environment clean and comfortable for the pets. I adapt my care based on the specific needs and preferences of each pet and owner, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience in both settings.

About: I have been taking care of others pets for about 5 years now and have had family pets of the furry, feathered, and scaly varieties my entire life. I've mucked stalls, scooped poop, cleaned cat boxes, all of the not so glamorous parts, and have enjoyed walking, playing and spending quality time while meeting each furry friends every day needs. I currently have a French Bulldog named Sophie and a Leopard Gecko named Leo who I have loved taking care of every day! I am currently on summer vacation so I am free every day except for one vacation I have planned in August (which is blocked out on my calendar). I am able and willing to stay as many days as you need in your home any time of the week with your pets. I am very flexible with my schedule so I can extend stays if needed. I plan on getting a regularly scheduled job after summer so my schedule will be less open but after communication I can let you know if I am available or not. My basic pet care will include bringing pets to the bathroom about every 2-4 hours, feeding pets required amount told by owners, playing with pets multiple times a day, cleaning up after pets, and any other special care instructions given by owners. Care may vary depending on the type of animal.

About: Hi! My name is Daniel Smith and I’m a passionate dog lover with professional experience working with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I previously worked at a busy dog daycare where I cared for multiple dogs at once, supervised playgroups, and made sure every pup stayed safe, happy, and comfortable. That experience taught me how to read dog behavior, handle different temperaments, and give each dog the attention they need. I was also a certified dog groomer in the past, so I’m very comfortable handling dogs, maintaining cleanliness, and making sure pets feel calm and cared for during hands-on care. I’m not currently licensed I currently offer: • Dog walking • Drop-in visits • House sitting Whether your dog needs a fun walk, companionship while you're away, or overnight care, I’ll treat them like my own. My goal is always to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and stress-free while you’re gone. I’m reliable, patient, and attentive to each dog’s unique needs. I also believe in keeping owners updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands. I’d love to meet you and your pup! Im currently unemployed and i want to make this a full time job. Just graduated college last year and I'm still looking for a career path. I can stay over at the clients house and watch them and if they feel uncomfortable with that i can take the dog to my house if needed.

About: I grew up with two wonderful dogs, Ranger and Lucy, and I helped to train them as I got older. I worked at a great doggie daycare for an about a year in 2023-24 and I learned lots of awesome techniques and information about dogs' body language, needs, and other things. I am also equipped to handle medications, whether it be pills, ear/eye drops, or injections. I enjoy being around and training dogs very much, I'd say they're one of the things I am most passionate about! I think that staying with dogs, either overnight or just for the day sounds like a dream! I attend Seattle University during the year (mid September-mid June) but I’m currently home for the summer and I’d love to make a little extra money taking care of your best friend. I work in the evenings Monday-Friday from about 3-7pm. I’m available anytime of day during the weekends and any time other than my specified work hours on weekdays. I mentioned this in my description but I very much enjoy training dogs (although I’m not the most experienced or effective), cuddling or playing with them, whichever they prefer, and am capable of providing medications of multiple kinds to your pets. I can provide potty breaks both during the day and night if needed. I can sleep on a couch or in a bed, either with or without your pet. Personally, my dogs are crate-trained, so I understand not wanting them on couches or beds to sleep or just in general. Although, I would be absolutely overjoyed to have a sweet cuddle buddy to sleep with me. One last thing about safety, at my previous job, I was often alone in a room of up to 50 dogs and am well aware of techniques to break up a fight, although I doubt I will need to do this, I think it’s an important thing to know about the person taking care of your pet.

About: I have always had pets in my home. Cats, dogs, reptiles, rodents! Love all animals! I can't imagine not having animals in my life! I've recently retired and am looking forward to doing the things I love and hanging out with animals is one of the things I love! I have helped many friends with their pets and am ready to expand my services. If I would be staying at your house I wouldn't have any other obligations to interfere with the time I could spend with your pet. If you just need visits I'm also available for that. Please contact me and we can talk about your pet family and how I can help you take care of your pet. Looking forward to meeting both of you! I'm a retired grandma with time on my hands! I love going on walks and relaxing with pets around me. I can adjust my schedule to yours! Let me know what your pets needs and wants are and that is what they will get! About: I have a family history of love for animals. I previously worked in a dog boarding and daycare facility. I have worked with all sorts of pets from snakes, cows, goats, sheep, cows, horses, chickens, lizards and of course dogs and cats. I have done approximately a dozen pet sitting and dog walking jobs on Rover and hope for more soon. I previously was taking care of dogs professionally at a dog day care. I can walk based on avoiding other dogs or to encourage socializing and am used to both. Let's meet and see what I can help you with! I can spend as little or as much time as your pooch is used to. Let me massage your dog and create a vacation for them while you're away. I have stayed in hundreds of other peoples homes and strive to keep a clean environment. My schedule is open. I previously worked in a dog day care and boarding and currently am doing full time house sitting for others in the pet community. Am am hoping to make my farm a full time boarding and daycare. Make a reservation with me soon We have a micro farm in Manchester on a fenced quarter acre near the forest. We will take long walks in the forest to watch birds and sniff around. I mostly have outdoor space as indoor space is limited to an RV and Camping area. Boarding and day care are in our fenced property. There are neighbors dogs that can visit the fence as well as chickens so I cannot accept dogs that might lash out to other animals. I have done animal care in various countries and for locals 20 years. I have all of the qualifications for taking excellent and quality care. I don't have a TV or a computer to distract me from playing together. I am all about spending time for your pets needs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
