“Melody and Rufus enjoyed their time with Anne. Anne took great care of them both and we will be having her take them both for walks weekly. Thank you for being so great with our dogs💕”

“Emma was great with Luke! She took him on some of his favorite walks in the short time she got to watch him. She was punctual on her visits and remembered to lock our doors after she leaves 😉. With the normal app glitches, which affected us both, aside - it was a good experience and we would seek her out again.”

“Sarah was fantastic with our pup!! Looking forward to having her help with walking our boy in the future! We’re happy to recommend her for any and all dog walking needs!”
“Jerry was punctual, professional, friendly, reliable, and our puppy dog was very excited to see him every time he arrived. Jerry helped us with a daily walk for two weeks while I had a broken ankle. Windsor even started to wait at the door for Jerry‘s appointment time. Thanks again, Jerry for helping out our family. You’re the best.!!!”

“Bobbi was amazing with Dewey and I felt confident of her character and integrity right from the start! She loved my little guy and helped me out with daily walks when my regular plan fell thru! Thank you, Bobbi! Dewey thanks you too! Robin”

“Lelia is dependable and a great communicator. I had a hiccup with logistics and timing however she was flexible and accommodating and spent extra time with Spanky. Spanky is a shy boy and will not usually walk out of the house with a stranger, unless he is on leash. He liked Lelia enough to for a walk without being coaxed outside on his leash! I will definitely book Lelia again!”

“So glad Anne could help out with my dogs! They have a hard time being alone for too long, and having her walk them and spend time with them was wonderful. Definitely recommend her!”

“Lily was so incredible and my two pups love her! She was incredibly punctual, kind, and professional. My dogs were so happy to see her each day and I would highly recommend her to anyone to take the best care of your fur babies.”

“Savina did a great job walking our dog while we were out for the day. We came home to a worn out and happy pup! We had peace of mind knowing Savina was watching over our baby. We recommend Savina and will book her for future walks!”

About: Hello! I have owned dogs for the past 10 years, and have been dog sitting for 5 years. My goal is to keep them happy and healthy. I will treat every dog in my care like my own. Hello! I have a collie mix named Sadie who has taught me a lot as a dog owner. I love all pets especially dogs, and it is a joy to see a smile on a dog’s face. I treat every dog in my care like my own in that I believe their physical and mental health is important to a happy dog. It can be a little stressful for a dog to be in a new environment with a new person, so I like to keep their routine the best I can.
About: Experienced and Flexible Pet Sitter Ready to Pamper Your Pets! 🐶🐱 Hello there! I've been caring for pets practically since I learned to walk. Growing up, I assisted in looking after our beloved pets—a pit bull, fox terrier, and a cat—and they've been my inspiration and joy. They taught me valuable life skills like patience, attentiveness, and even training techniques! Spending quality time with furry friends has always been a cherished hobby of mine. Currently, I'm balancing my studies with a part-time job, which makes me flexible. With a heads-up, I can easily organize my schedule to cater to your pet's needs. I'm mobile and can travel as necessary to ensure your pet's comfort and happiness. Rest assured, your pets will receive the utmost care and attention. Looking forward to meeting your furry companions! I make pet care a daily priority by scheduling specific times for feeding, and exercise throughout the day. I also set aside longer periods in the morning and evening for walks and playtime. Weekly, I arrange training sessions, vet visits, and any other necessary care to keep the pets happy and healthy. (Upon request) When caring for pets in my home, they are in a welcoming environment where they're treated like family. I provide a cozy space, playtime, regular feeding schedules, and, for dogs, access to a spacious backyard. In clients' homes, I ensure to follow their instructions precisely: maintaining routines, providing necessary care, and keeping the environment clean and comfortable for the pets. I adapt my care based on the specific needs and preferences of each pet and owner, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience in both settings.
About: I saved my Chihuahua, Thistle, from a kill shelter when he was 18 months old. I nursed him through being hit by a car, helped him gain weight from being underfed, and encouraged him to be a confident dog (he was extremely anxious) through training and gentle love and care. From this, I learned how to administer medications to animals, so I can provide this kind of care to your fur babies also. My Chihuahua is now a senior dog, but you wouldn’t be able to tell with how active he is! He gets lots of walks and play time, and he loves it best when I get on the floor with him. I am comfortable getting to know your pet and giving them the level and type of attention that they need! I looked into breed specific care, and Chihuahuas have weaker joints, so I put him on a joint supplement right when I got him, and it has really made a difference in his mobility and quality of life. It’s important to administer care to animals in the specific way that is best for them! I would show the same consideration to your pet. That includes factoring in their temperament. As my dog has gotten older, his needs around personal boundaries have increased, so I make sure to check in with him before petting him, picking him up, or otherwise touching him, and I do not touch him if he gives me a no, except in an actual emergency (i.e. the animal could be hurt or hurt someone else if I do not touch them). Instead, I do something else and check in again later. This allows me to establish a real felt sense of safety and trust with your pet. I also had cats all growing up, and have a real affection for them, as well as a clear understanding of their boundaries. I would be honored to care for your pet family just as I care for mine! I currently freelance, which means I have the freedom to take care of your pets whenever you need me to. I can be flexible to your needs. As my dog is a people’s dog and not a dog’s dog, I offer my services in your home. I can walk your pet, do a drop-in visit, or housesit! I will follow your instructions to the letter, and ask about any specific or special care your pet might need.
About: I have been taking care of others pets for about 5 years now and have had family pets of the furry, feathered, and scaly varieties my entire life. I've mucked stalls, scooped poop, cleaned cat boxes, all of the not so glamorous parts, and have enjoyed walking, playing and spending quality time while meeting each furry friends every day needs. I currently have a French Bulldog named Sophie and a Leopard Gecko named Leo who I have loved taking care of every day! I am currently on summer vacation so I am free every day except for one vacation I have planned in August (which is blocked out on my calendar). I am able and willing to stay as many days as you need in your home any time of the week with your pets. I am very flexible with my schedule so I can extend stays if needed. I plan on getting a regularly scheduled job after summer so my schedule will be less open but after communication I can let you know if I am available or not. My basic pet care will include bringing pets to the bathroom about every 2-4 hours, feeding pets required amount told by owners, playing with pets multiple times a day, cleaning up after pets, and any other special care instructions given by owners. Care may vary depending on the type of animal.

About: We are a family of 3 who live in the Gig Harbor/Purdy area. Our home is located on 2.4 acres with open grass areas and a fenced area if your dog prefers to be outside. **Note: fenced area is currently undergoing some summer cleanup so dogs are not left unattended in the yard at this time. We provide a designated doggy sleeping area inside our home which includes a soft doggie bed. We will make sure your pet gets a lot of outdoor time taking walks with us. I also make homemade, healthy doggie treats to spoil them while they are vacationing with us. Your pet will be treated as if he/she was our own pet and will have plenty of playtime and attention. We love dogs and want them to feel at home in our country setting. Also we are not a large kennel, so we only have 2-4 dogs at one time which allows us to give each dog plenty of time and attention and keep things mellow for the dogs and us. We do have our own doggie Willow. She just turned 5 in July. She does well playing with dogs of all sizes. She has made many dog friends through my daycare. *Due to restrictions of our homeowners insurance, certain breeds are not accepted at this time.* I am home all day to watch and play with your pet. I rarely leave but when I sometimes have to leave for short periods, your dog will be very comfortable in our large dog crates with comfortable padded beds. Our family loves dogs and your pet will receive alot of attention and exercise. During the day they can be outside playing in the fenced area (**see above) or just hang out inside with our family, and in the evenings all dogs sleep inside the house with us. We do use crates at night for dogs that are used to that and we provide soft dog bedding in the crates. Dogs that do not prefer crates sleep on dog beds in our bedrooms so they never feel alone.
“Saved our bacon at the last minute with a walk, and very clearly knows exactly what she’s doing. Ever meet someone and you think “phew, they are an expert at this”? Yeah that’s her”

“Amanda is the best! We love her and more importantly, Mack (our dog) loves her! She is great with communication, always goes above and beyond, and we are so thankful for her! Thanks for everything Amanda!”

About: I have been all about pets my whole life! I will treat your furbaby like my own and spoil them with lots of love. I enjoy bonding with and getting to know your dog. Every single one has its own unique personality and I am more than happy that I get to learn about it so that I can provide the best care possible for them :) I greatly look forward to working with you and your precious pet. I have a pretty flexible schedule and I can ensure potty breaks whenever needed. I am home most of the time and leave only for a couple hrs or less. In my home, I have 2 yards for running and playtime. I do not mind pets on my couch or bed and always enjoy the cuddles! In your home, I will respect your rules and treat your pet how you have laid out.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
