“Leaving my 21 month Boston with Kirsten and her family for 6 nights was my first experience of leaving my dog with anyone overnight. We have been together almost 24/7 since I got her as a puppy as I work remotely. We had a fantastic experience! At the meet and greet Kirsten made the effort to connect and relate to Lucy and invited us to experience where she would be living and playing. As well as introducing her to dogs she would be playing with. It all was very reassuring. Lucy clearly enjoyed Kirsten and her family. She was happy to be there, and it was the perfect place! She called me immediately and also did the courtesy of contacting DogVacay’s own vet for advice. “Above and beyond care! I don’t normally leave reviews with anything but I really wanted to in this case. I have an automatic water fountain which is normally filled with enough to last them a week if it didn’t get topped off. Erica was concerned they were drinking more than what could get them through between her visits so she put an extra water bowl down for them in addition to refilling the fountain. That is going above and beyond and showed real compassion for my kitties and that is something I really value. She went out of her way to ensure they wouldn’t need anything while I was away. And she was so very kind to bring in my packages left on my doorstep. I didn’t ask her to but she saved them from the rain and took them in for me. KitKat my very shy kitty even liked her so she has my seal of approval! I will ABSOLUTELY go to her again if I need someone to watch my fur babies!!!!! Trustworthy, dependable, and compassionate!”

About: I have taken care of others cats for about 3 years now but I have had cats of my own most of my life. I have experience brushing cats (with mats too), cleaning their litter boxes, feeding them, dealing with outdoor cats that like to catch critters, and playing with cats. I have been caring for my Persian, Jarvis, for a long time and he has many quarks so he isn't the easiest to care for but I've loved every minute of it!

About: I have a 9 year old golden retriever, a 9 year old German Shepherd and a 9 month old Belgian Malinois puppy of my own and have many years of experience caring for friends and family’s animals as well. I have experience working with up to 15 dogs in a dog day care outdoor play setting as well!! I love all animals! I love to get out of the house and take my own dog out for walks, trips to the lake and hikes! I work very well with dogs and all animals, it brings me happiness to be able to take care of them. About: I grew up around dogs and am very comfortable taking care of them. My siblings have dogs and we’ve even had them stay with us for a month at a time. I get to stay at home with our kids and my husband works three days a week. We have lots of time to spend with your pet! We have a partially fenced in yard, room to run and play fetch, and a wooded area for dogs to explore. Plus, a great neighborhood for walking and parks nearby.

As well as introducing her to dogs she would be playing with. It all was very reassuring. Lucy clearly enjoyed Kirsten and her family. She was happy to be there, and it was the perfect place! I’m happy to know now that Lucy can stay at Kirsten’s to so I can feel free to travel through the future! Highly recommend!!”
