“Our dog Bourbon stayed with Julie for 3 weeks while we were on vacation. Julie has been so great with Bourbon during his whole stay and we were able to enjoy our vacation without having to worry about him. We got constant update from Julie about Bourbon and we knew that Bourbon was in good hand. There was no other dog during that time at her place so we knew that Bourbon was getting full attention from Julie all the time. We are very satisfied with her care and would recommend her for anyone who needs someone to take care of their dog.”

“Donna is great! Our dog doesn't always get along well with other dogs and we have never had a problem with him staying with her and getting along with other pups in her home. We're very lucky to have found her. Her husband is also very nice.”

“We finally don't need to worry when leaving town. So happy that we've found Danielle, her husband and their sweet boy, Shiro. Seeing Bamba sleeping on her back, with legs wide open - I knew she felt safe and happy there. It almost feels like she's sad to come back home after having an awesome week. Thanks guys! You'll see Bamba again very soon!”

“Dani, thank you! You gifted us peace of mind. We appreciated knowing that our Jack Dog was treated like a member of your family. For others considering booking with Dani: she was responsive, flexible, and kind. Her home and property are gorgeous, clean, and safe for our fur babies. Her two dogs were friendly and welcoming to our Jack Dog.”

“Peter took lots of pics and gave me lots of updates on how my dog was doing. It looks like she got lots of love and was happy in every pic. Plus he has super sweet dogs for your dog to play with. I would use Peter and his family as dog sitters again.”

“Thank you for taking excellent care of Plum!! It was a big help knowing she was in great hands with people who care about her. She’s looking forward to returning! Thank you!”

“James is so great! Very responsive and sends pic updates daily! Would recommend to any pet owner! My little dog requires extra tlc and he definitely provided that. Will be booking through James again.”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover who friends and family regularly trust to care for their pets while they travel. I have two friendly golden retrievers who truly love other dogs and are gentle, playful, and well-socialized. I’m experienced with a wide range of personalities—from high-energy pups who need lots of playtime to senior dogs who prefer a calm, cozy environment. I treat every dog as if they were my own, paying close attention to routines, feeding schedules, medications, and individual quirks. Your dog will enjoy plenty of love, supervised play, and a safe, comfortable home where they’re never just “watched,” but genuinely cared for. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands. I work from home, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, and a calm, structured environment. I’m available for both short-notice needs and bookings well in advance as you plan your travels. My goal is to be your go-to sitter whenever you need reliable, loving care. I have a large fully fenced yard and two friendly, well-socialized golden retrievers who enjoy playing in the backyard by a game of chase and/or fetch. I closely monitor playtime and all interactions, follow each dog’s routine, and can crate, separate, or provide quiet space if needed in order to keep all dogs in my care stress/free, comfortable and happy. Safety, comfort, and trust are always my top priorities. This isn’t just a place where you drop your dog for the day or for a trip. It’s a calm, loving environment where dogs feel safe and loved while you’re away. I choose thoughtful exercise and enrichment to keep them happy and give them plenty of opportunities to burn energy and excitement.

“My almost 8 month dog Nugget had a great time while Mommy & Daddy were at work... he got to interact with other humans & socialize with other dogs. Amanda has a huge backyard to help release all the doggy energy. Pic of Nugget playing with one of Amanda's dogs.”

“Josh and Justin are the sweetest!! They went above and beyond. I wasn’t able to do pick ups or drop offs and they came to the rescue. They sent pictures of my dogs throughout their stay. They even took the time to come back to drop off a water bowl. I was so happy leaving my fur babies. My dogs did not act differently and were their normal selves. I will definitely recommend Josh and Justin! They are amazing.”

“It was our first time leaving our newly adopted pup with a rover sitter and I’m so glad we went with Kyah! She’s been very understanding and accommodating and our dog felt it too. :) He quickly bonded to them and their pup, I got frequent updates, it was a very nice experience. The next stay is already booked. :)”

“Alex was fantastic with our dog Onyx. We received regular updates, and Onyx and Alex's dog got along great. They managed integrating Onyx with their dog very well and didn't rush anything allowing them to establish a good relationship. They have a very nice, quiet space and are available with your pet the majority of the time if not constantly. I would definitely recommend Alex to any friend that needed a dog watched.”

“Lena and her family took great care of our dog Stitch while we were out of town for 8 days. She sent daily pics and updates and was very responsive and communicative. It was like Stitch was on her own little vaca!”

“My Luna baby is not great with new people but Kristin made her feel so at home!! She is truly amazing and eased all our worries!! If I could give 10 starts I would”

“Kevin and Kandice were wonderful sitters for my senior dog, Cody. They are attentive, kind, sent fun photos, and clearly love animals. I felt at peace knowing Cody was in their caring hands. Thank you! Will happily rebook!”

“Karen and her partner took excellent care of our Maisey Mae! Maisey had a great stay cation with lots of snuggles and play time. We were sent lots of pictures so we had the peace of mind our fur baby was having a great time. Would definitely book again !”

“Celia and her family took great care of our dog while we traveled out of the country. Our dog loved playing with the kids and being outdoors. She was treated lovingly by the family and we couldn’t ask for more than that. Celia was very flexible and accommodating as our flight was delayed. We are so grateful to have peace of mind while we were so far away. Thank you all so much!”

“We're so happy Mimi has a comfortable place to stay with people who enjoy her company. She's a shy dog, so it's great that she was able to settle in cuddle with new people. Many thanks!”

“Kirsten was terrific. Rizzo settled in and had fun with the family and the family dogs even though shy can be shy. We received ample feedback and pictures to reassure us that our pup was fine while we were on vacation.”

Alex and Trev took wonderful care of Kaia while we were away. They were communicative, responsible, and clearly attentive to her needs. Kaia also had a blast playing with their dog, Ghost, which made the stay even better. She came home happy and relaxed, which says a lot. We got pictures and update regularly, which was a big plus. We’d definitely trust them to watch her again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for great sitters on Rover.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
