“Best possible choice for my senior chihuahua. I feel like I lucked out. Maria was so great with Misha. I think my antisocial curmudgeon even had a great time and may even have some new friends. I was so pleased with the multiple updates and photos/videos sent throughout my trip. I can tell Maria truly loves all the dogs that come through her home and treats them like her own babies. I have such a weight off my shoulders knowing after 15 years I can finally take trips, long or short, knowing I have peace of mind with where I leave my little man. Can’t recommend enough.”
“Craig and Angela were perfect host for Leo, my high energy Australian Shepherd. Leo enjoyed playing with Craig & Angela's Golden Retriever, Ellie, in their fully fenced back yard. I would not hesitate to board him again with them. Thanks Craig and Angela!!”

“Highest Reviews for Jennifer. most sitter were very prompt in getting back to me none could accommodate my schedule. Jennifer said yes and was very prompt with all of the follow-up replies. great location and setting. I will recommend her to anyone and will use her services again when needed. Thank you very much.”

“Yessica was so great with Cat Sammy, I will definitely be trusting her with my cat again in the future. She was easy to schedule with and assured me she would not take on any other pets while she watched my cat, which brought me a lot of comfort. It was harder to find a Rover with no other pets involved than I expected. A lot of sitters on Rover take on multiple pets at a time, lock them in separate rooms or crates or have pets of their own. Those circumstances create a stressful environment for both myself and my cat so I prefer a sitter that is able to provide a stable and stress free environment. She sent me daily updates and photos which is not required but was very much appreciated. Sammy was happy and purring in all of the videos and it brought me peace of mind. She even took him outside a little for fresh air which he loves— she went the extra mile. Her communication was great & timely and she easily built trust with me. She returned all of his items clean & in tact. 10/10 recommend Yessica as your Rover!”

“Erin (and family 😊) were wonderful with Hazel. She can be a high energy greeter and the meet and greeent well. You can tell right away that the are experienced with dogs by the questions and approach. Hazel was living her best pupper life while staying with Erin. I highly recommend her especially if you like pics of your baby while you are separated.”

“Kaylee is awesome. She is super reliable, and obviously loves taking care of pets. I love how she sends pictures and takes the extra time to show them some love when their owners are out of town, and her rates are very affordable. I highly recommend her.”

“Brutus had an amazing time with Charis while I was out of town. She shared great photos and was a wonderful communicator. Thank you so much for caring for our puppers !”

“Kirsten and Nathan went above and beyond to make sure our pup felt right at home while we were away. They kept us updated with great communication and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. So grateful to have found them! Highly recommend.”

“This was the first night away from home for my rescue pup who is extremely attached. Donna took some time prior to his stay to meet us both. I knew after our 1st meeting that My pup was going to be in great hands. Donna is knowledgeable, caring and a true professional. I highly recommend!!”

“Liz was WONDERFUL! Our boy Maxx is 12 and a real dog of comfort. Liz sent us daily photos and comments, and Maxx looked like he fit right in in her home with the other dogs. Daily trips to the off-leash dog park were a big hit. Her home had that “dog home” feel to it, and we were quite comfortable leaving our boy there for three days.”

“Jennifer is just the kindest sitter ever. She and her doggie Champ are wonderful and kind humans. My little guy got his paw injured before I left on my trip and she did his best to help coordinate his care. She regularly communicated how he was doing to me, and when he needed to go to urgent care she was wonderful about getting him to a trusted family member to continue his care elsewhere. We love Jennifer and Champ and hope to see them again when Cosmo is all healed up!”

About: Hello! My name is Megan, and I want you to know you can trust your animals with me! I will treat them like they are my own. I have cared for both cats and dogs before and been a proud owner. I promise your pets will be in good hands. I am also very flexible, and am willing to work around any schedule. I hope you will choose me to watch over your furry friends! I can ensure to keep open communication while your pet is in my care and will send you lots of pictures as well! I am currently a stay at home mom so I have super open availability. I am willing to work around a schedule that works best for you and your furry friend I have a very friendly puppy named Maggie at home. She loves to play and make new friends. However, if your fur baby is not too fond of other animals I can have Maggie stay with family.
“Ashlyn and her family are amazing! I think Charlie had a better vacation than we did. She got to go to the beach, take lots of walks, and get loved on by kids, which is her favorite thing in the world. We got text and picture updates throughout our trip. Thanks for taking such good care of our pets! ❤️”

“Wonderful communication, professionalism, and enthusiasm. She worked with my requests and provided a worry free experience. I really appreciated Sheena's help in sitting our puppy and would definitely use her again!”

“Mike was a true gift during a very emotional and busy time. With family in town for my father’s funeral, I needed a peaceful place for my dog Bo to stay for a few days. Mike and Shari welcomed him into their beautiful, woodsy home—with picture windows that Bo immediately wanted to look out, and a calm, comforting vibe. When I picked him up at the end of his stay Bo was a relaxed and happy dog! Thanks guys!”

“Dee Anne took was able to take Luna in on very short notice. She took great care of her. Great communication, care, and made Luna comfortable. Highly recommended, and hope to be able to have her care for Luna again in the future!”

“this was our first time using rover and we are very happy with the service! mimi is usually very anxious and timid around other dogs but in their care she had the best time! she looks happy and playful in all of the pictures we were sent while we were out of state for the week, and responses were always very fast :) thank you again for everything, 10/10 experience”

“Amazing is all I can say!! She had great communication and Finney loved his time with her ( not sure he wanted to come home 😂😂). We will definitely be rebooking her in the future”

Dani was the best! Our bulldog can be high maintenance, but she took such great care of him and treated him like he was her own! She was always quick to respond, and sent lots of pictures and check in notes. I don’t think our dog wanted to leave lol. He will be so excited to go back.

Shannon was amazing! What a great person & dog sitter. My older dog Stella is relaxed but has a few habits, and I’m always a little particular with who she stays with in general. From the moment we met, I know she’d be in safe hands & Shannon often sent updates/photos. I could tell she was cared for as if she was their dog! Thank you Shannon & your lovely family for providing Stella a safe, loving home 🧡🐶

Jerry was awesome and very communicative. Sending pics of my pup and providing updates throughout Vinny’s time with him. I had to book kind of last second and Jerry was very accommodating. Thanks again Jerry, will let you know if we need help when we’re back in town again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
