“Our big boy seems very well taken care of with extra walks from Jerry!!! The photos from Jerry during their walkshows his tail up wagging. Thank you so much, Jerry.”

“Dani was fantastic with our four month old kitten. It was the first time we left her alone and I so appreciated her being there, making sure she got the love and attention she needed. She was there when she said she would be and sent updates and pictures everyday which gave me such peace of mind so I could enjoy my vacation. Thank you Dani!”

“Sarah is very thorough and knows how to judge my puppy’s behavior due to her growing and teething. Sarah has wonderful calm demeanor and patience! Exactly what my little girl needs! Highly recommend Sarah!”

“Christy was absolutely amazing! We have 5 pets with wildly different feeding needs due to age, diet, and preference. Christy went above and beyond-ensuring that each member of our family was pampered in the exact way they have become accustomed. If I’m being honest, I think one kitty was a little sad at our return. We will definitely be booking in the future!!”

About: I moved from Mi to Wa in 2015 and decided in 2018 to be a dog walker. That was in King county and after moving to a house in 2021, dog boarding turned into my new side job. Last year I also enrolled in Victoria Stilwell’s Academy for positive training. So I am very aware of dog’s body language and needs. I absolutely love dogs and they are truly my life now but when I was 8 that wasn’t the case. I was bit in the face by a family friend’s dog. He was old and on medication, I startled him awake which led to him biting me. From this incident, I watched Victoria Stilwell on animal planet to get over my fear of bigger dogs and here I am today with a certification in dog training and starting my career with human’s best friend. My goal is for you and your dog to be as comfortable as possible. I only treat dogs/pets as I would want someone to treat mine (and believe me I am a high maintenance pet mom 😉) Dogs are my job. Whether it is boarding, sitting, or walking; this is what I do full time. Sometimes I do Instacart to get out a bit but will do that when my boyfriend is home. I am starting up my bath bomb business again so to have a companion working alongside with me is my ideal work day. My boyfriend works from home majority of the time, so there is always someone home. His kids do come over 50% of the week and are very kind and helpful with dogs that are boarding with me. They are 12 and 11 so they aren’t little kids. I have lick mats, Kong Gyro, and plenty of space for your dog to have fun at my house. My house is fenced in, we are updating the property all the time to make sure it is safe as possible. For larger dogs, I have a bell on a ziptie to put on your dog’s collar just so I can hear where they are at all times when I am outside with them. For smaller pups, I always go outside with them due to being in an open area so they are safe. I also have a 30’ leash that I can hook them to for extra safety. Inside, I make them as comfortable as possible. Whatever they like at home I try my best to provide at my house.

“Erica took excellent care of our pets, and our house too. She really understood and respected our cat’s personality. Communication was great. We will definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve always had animals in my life since I was little. So I’ve learned at a young age how to care for animals. I currently have two dogs, a Goldendoodle named Ollie (4) and a senior dog Bella who is 17 1/2! So I’ve had experience with both the puppy stage and now the senior stage. I’m also a mom of 3 kiddos. They’re all in school so I’ve been looking for something to fill my time while they’re in school. So what a perfect way to do that and do what I love and hang with animals 😊 I drop my kids off at school by 9am everyday and pick up around 2:30. So I have that time in between for walking dogs etc I have two friendly dogs at home and kids who love animals too. I don’t have a fenced yard but I can always keep a close eye on the dog when they go potty or play outside. If they need to be leased at all times I can do that too.
About: I have grown up with animals my whole life from rodents to dogs. I have experience with labradors, basset hounds, German shepherds, Shih Tzus, and cocker spaniels. I also have had bunnies, turtles, ferrets, and I currently have 2 guinea pigs! I love all dogs, big or small! When I was in high school, I got my own yellow lab- Sedona. I trained her on basic commands: sit, stay, paw, lay down, roll over, and polite walking manors! I recently retired from the Army, and I have a flexible, part time recreation job. Mornings and Evenings are typically the best time for me to schedule, but because my schedule is flexible I can make accommodations! Whatever guidance I am given to respect someone’s home I will do! As for dog walking, I keep all dogs on a leash for their safety. I can do long walks or short- fast paced or slow sniff everything walks.
“Our Bloodhounds take a min to warm up to others while we are away. Dawn and her husband are very calm and patient with them and they warm up quick. Was nice to go out of town for a week knowing they were well taken care of with daily updates and pics! Highly recommend!”

About: I've had dogs for 15 years and grew up with cats. I have taken care of family and friends pets including chickens, cats and dogs. We have dog sat in our home as well as done drop ins. I am available for drop in visits that include potty breaks and feeding. I am comfortable giving medications if needed. I currently work remote with the ability to work my own hours. This gives me the flexibility to care for your fur babies as needed. Having two bloodhounds I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and reliable to watch your fur babies. I like to provide updates with pictures and progress reports. I also prefer to have a meet and greet prior to make sure it's a good fit all around.
“Erin was amazing. My dog and cat were happy when we came home. My dog is a senior blind tripawd and the fact that she has a blind dog made me feel so much better about leaving my guy home :( She checked in twice daily on time and didn’t hesitate to ask questions when needed. I’ll definitely trust her with my pets again.”

“Meredith and Elliott were wonderful! I booked last minute for a holiday weekend due to a cancellation from another sitter and they were so accommodating in arranging a time to meeting our kitties and get instructions and keys beforehand. Meredith is very communicative and sends lots of pics, which we love. She also gave plenty of attention and love to our shy cat that hides under the bed. Very happy with the care our kitties received!”

“Once again, Jennifer did a great job taking care of our little guy. She makes sure he gets what he needs, is fed according to his special diet, gets his exercise and even takes care of a few extra things as needed!”

“Morgana was so thoughtful and prompt and great with all of my pets! I felt completely comfortable leaving my cats in her care and this was reinforced by her messages and pictures. I will definitely book her again.”

“We had such a great experience with Megan! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. I really appreciate the care and attention she gave them—it gave me so much peace of mind. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! 🐾”

“Jennifer was super kind and when I needed someone quick she was there and available! My pup loved her immediately. Kept me updated on my pup and kept my dog anxieties at bay! Will definitely hire her again!”

Gig Harbor cat parents share their Rover experiences
We had to book last minute travel due to a family emergency, and Maria was able to accommodate us on short notice. Communication was great, and she was flexible with our needs and updates. Our Maltese, Marley, doesn’t do well with other dogs, so boarding would have been extra stressful. We really appreciated being able to schedule three drop-in visits per day. Thanks for taking care of our fur babies while we were away!

I booked Amber to watch my kitties over the Christmas holiday. I came home to my kitties healthy, and thus grateful for their care. We did have some communication issues (her phone didn’t have service/not on and a missed drop in which I had to reach out to her first (hours later) to understand what was going on). I do want to say that she did remedy the issue in the end. My only critique is that I would have wanted her to find a way to communicate with me first when things arise that affect my pets feeding schedule so I could find an alternative solution, that way she could focus on any personal emergencies that pop up. Overall Amber is nice and friendly and I know with more pet-sitting experience she will be a well-sought after Rover sitter.
