I have three dogs of my own (one is a cat but she thinks she’s the head dog I think that counts right?), so I’m very familiar with different personalities, routines, quirks, and the little details that make each pet feel comfortable and cared for. I am currently a business owner who works from home Tuesday through Friday with very flexible hours. My fiance is also home in the evenings and helps to keep the pups and kitty on their normal routine plus some extra hardcore playtime. Our normal routine is early morning sniff walkie (we call the shorty since we don’t get very far) then they nap the afternoon away and by 3pm we take our longer walk to stretch the muscles. 15-20 minutes of bully stick, lick mat, or mobility training (our senior gal is working on building muscle strength) in the late evenings and then they practice long self regulation relaxation on their own “place” while we work out in the gym. This is all in a perfect world! We try to teach them mental and emotional regulation so they can feel satisfied and we keep all our hair on our heads!

I have experience with special needs pets, blind, deaf, diabetic, incontinence, seniors, etc. I love senior pets, they hold a special place in my heart. Ross was an absolute Godsend!! He took such good care of my kitties, and they warmed up to him rather quickly, even my shy girl Rosie. He kept in touch promptly and made sure to leave detailed notes after each visit. He was extremely accommodating as well, as maintenance had to change my locks while I was away and I also had a package delivered early... I informed him of all of this and he graciously changed my keys on my key ring and made sure my package made it inside safely. He went above and beyond the call of duty and I felt my kitties were in great hands. I would 100% book with him again!
I booked Amber to watch my kitties over the Christmas holiday. I came home to my kitties healthy, and thus grateful for their care. We did have some communication issues (her phone didn’t have service/not on and a missed drop in which I had to reach out to her first (hours later) to understand what was going on). I do want to say that she did remedy the issue in the end. My only critique is that I would have wanted her to find a way to communicate with me first when things arise that affect my pets feeding schedule so I could find an alternative solution, that way she could focus on any personal emergencies that pop up. Overall Amber is nice and friendly and I know with more pet-sitting experience she will be a well-sought after Rover sitter.
