“Erica was very professional and took great care of our cat for a week while we were out of town. I would recommend her to anyone looking for prompt and professional pet care. Thank you again, Erica!”

About: I’m a retired professional who enjoys staying active while providing dependable, compassionate care for pets. I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for when you’re away, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is to treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. Whether it’s walks, playtime, overnight stays, administering routine medications, or simply providing companionship, I tailor my care to each pet’s and owner’s unique needs and routine. I also believe communication is essential, so you can expect regular updates, photos, and prompt responses throughout your pet’s stay. Pet sitting isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely enjoy. Building trust with both pets and their owners is the most rewarding part of the experience. If you’re looking for a mature, reliable sitter who will provide exceptional care and give you peace of mind, I’d be honored to care for your furry family members. My schedule is flexible; especially with advance notice. Whether it’s walks and potty breaks or overnight sitting I can usually accommodate any schedule, including the holidays. Although typically we will not board at our home, on occasion we’ll make exceptions depending on the breed and temperament. We have two Shih Tzu’s that are extremely playful and nice with other pets. In your home, I will take care of your pets as you would.
“Misao is great! She’s taken care of my cat twice. She’s a great communicator and very sweet. Her attention to detail is top notch and I know my sweet boy is in good hands when I’m not there. :)”

“I'm not much for leaving reviews and am rarely impressed enough to do so. That said, I wanted to make sure I commented on the 5-star care provided by Meredith and Elliott, both of whom are as kind as they are professional. It's clear they love animals—which, of course, is key—but they also go above and beyond in SO MANY ways: Taking time to nurture and play, sending pics, suggesting special care, offering to groom and clean up after my cats and...well...I could go on. Bottom line: I'm a picky guy and I'd encourage anyone with beloved pets to hire these two in a heartbeat. (I just need to make sure I still have access to them when they're rich and famous!)”

“Christy has become a part of our extended family. Our Dynamic Duo, Frank and Beans, always have a great time, and when we can, we book our times away around Christy's schedule. :)”

“Sierra once again kept our kitty safe, well fed and happy for us. Always reliable and excellent with our cat. Continuous pictures and cat updates the entire time. Thanks so much!”

“Carrie was wonderful to work with. She was easy to communicate with, very responsive, and took great care of our three cats while we were away. One of our cats decided to play hide-and-seek the entire time, but Carrie kept us updated on all of them and sent regular messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. We came home to happy, well-cared-for cats, and we'd gladly book Carrie again.”

“We appreciate Briana & Jamal taking such good care of our two pups and our home when we needed to fly out of state with little notice. Our pups immediately liked them, and we received so many cute pictures during and even after our trip! They were so wonderful, and we would definitely use them again in the future!”
“Cambria completed multiple drop ins for our dog Olly and for us. She was always on time and Olly enjoyed his time with her. We hope to rely on Cambria again in the future.”

About: Growing up in an animal loving family, I have spent my entire life surrounded by dogs and cats, including those with disabilities. This experience has given me a unique understanding of the patience, care, and extra attention required to meet their needs. While I am just beginning my journey in the pet sitting field, I am deeply committed to providing personalized, compassionate care to every pet I work with, ensuring they feel loved and comfortable, no matter their individual needs or challenges. I offer pet sitting, dog walking, and other pet care services throughout the week, with flexible hours to suit your needs. My primary job typically has me scheduled 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM daily, but I am available for pet care before or after those hours. I’m happy to adjust my schedule to accommodate specific time preferences—just let me know, and I’ll do my best to meet your pet care needs! When pet sitting in your home, i strive to maintain your pets routine as closely as possible to ensure they feel safe in their family environment. I also offer regular updates and/or photos so you can stay connected with your pet and feel at ease while you’re gone.
“Lydia watched both my cat and dog over a holiday weekend. Great communication, sent me pictures every day. Very thankful to have someone look after them while I was away. Highly recommend!”

“We had such a great experience with Megan! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. I really appreciate the care and attention she gave them—it gave me so much peace of mind. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! 🐾”

“Our Bloodhounds take a min to warm up to others while we are away. Dawn and her husband are very calm and patient with them and they warm up quick. Was nice to go out of town for a week knowing they were well taken care of with daily updates and pics! Highly recommend!”

“Alyssa goes out of her way to make her visits with our puppy fun and engaging! I literally can’t believe how much play and training she packs into her visits. She’s always on time, sends great pictures and notes that make our day when we’re away from our pup. 5 stars-all gold!”

About: I grew up caring for small dogs, large dogs, chickens, cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs… we lived on 4 acres, surrounded by other family members in the neighborhood, and I love all of the animals! I'll take 'em cute, crotchety, pudgy, feathered, or furred. :) I have regularly cared for pets of family, friends and business connections, in their home, or mine. Currently, I have no pets (my 2 elderly cats crossed the rainbow bridge, within the last year, due to age-related illnesses), so I would adore spending time with yours! I've seen my own pets through old age, and the related medical needs that come with that, so administering medications (oral, subdermal, dermal) doesn't phase me. Note that extensive medication schedules may result in added costs. I work hybrid, primarily, so there's ample flexibility in my schedule to match up with your needs. I occasionally bartend, short, evening shifts, for a non-profit theater. As of winter 2023/2024, I work 4-6 hours/day, with a local company (I get to choose my shifts). All these little pieces can be moved around, to make a schedule that fits your pet's care needs. :) Primary Service Areas: Gig Harbor, Fox Island, West Tacoma, North Tacoma/Stadium District, Ruston, Central Tacoma, Fircrest, Steilacoom, North University Place Secondary Service Areas: Golden Given Rd, Waller Rd, Parkland (near PLU only), Olalla, Port Orchard -Out-of-area costs will apply for secondary areas. -Be aware that there are certain neighborhoods that will be excluded, in Tacoma, as a personal safety choice. Note: Gig Harbor/KP bookings will result in an added $6/night, to help soften costs for fuel and toll. Your Place: I'm tidy and conscientious. It's my pleasure to adapt my schedule to your pet's needs. I'm happy to care for multiple pets, in your home (or yard... need help with goats or chickens? Yay! I'm your gal.). Please expect a potty schedule of every 4-6 hours. I'm tidy, bring most of my own groceries (I appreciate it if you provide coffee, tea, cream, sugar, salt, pepper and cooking oil), and love to bring healthy treats, and toys, for your pets. My Place: I live alone, in a 1 bedroom place, that I own. I have a few construction projects going, so it's not currently available for boarding, but I hope to have that service in the future. At my place, there's ample room for a small dog, cat, bunny or bird. A dog will be walked 3-5 times/day, depending on their needs. There are dog and cat treats, dog toys, cat toys, and a scratching post, here.
“Christina came to my rescue last minute in a tough situation and has become our weekly walker. I am so incredibly grateful for the consistent help, flexibility, and experience with reactive dogs. Highly recommend!!!”

“Thank you, Allie, for taking wonderful care of my kitties over Christmas break! So great to be able to leave town and know my pets and my home are in good hands. Appreciate you so much!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Wollochet
We had to book last minute travel due to a family emergency, and Maria was able to accommodate us on short notice. Communication was great, and she was flexible with our needs and updates. Our Maltese, Marley, doesn’t do well with other dogs, so boarding would have been extra stressful. We really appreciated being able to schedule three drop-in visits per day. Thanks for taking care of our fur babies while we were away!

My pets are my family and I'm super particular when it comes to them. I have a 9 month Mali puppy and so it's really important who comes around her at this age. As such, leaving them is hard for me because that's always on my mind. Long story short - If Kevin had more availability, I would be doing a lot more traveling lol. Punctual, knowledgable, kind, clean, thorough and goes above and beyond. We are so lucky we found him!

I booked Amber to watch my kitties over the Christmas holiday. I came home to my kitties healthy, and thus grateful for their care. We did have some communication issues (her phone didn’t have service/not on and a missed drop in which I had to reach out to her first (hours later) to understand what was going on). I do want to say that she did remedy the issue in the end. My only critique is that I would have wanted her to find a way to communicate with me first when things arise that affect my pets feeding schedule so I could find an alternative solution, that way she could focus on any personal emergencies that pop up. Overall Amber is nice and friendly and I know with more pet-sitting experience she will be a well-sought after Rover sitter.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wollochet. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
