“Wow are we ever lucky to have found Erica! She was incredible taking care of our two cats. Such good communication and lots of cute photos. She even took out our trash without us ever asking, changing the litter box and was such a pro at giving our cat her medication. She’s got such a heart for animals and we’re so thankful for her! Highly recommend!!”

“Thank you Dani for the extra care you shown my home and GiGi. For my first experience using Rover and leaving GiGi in the care of someone else, was a good one. Thank you, again.”

“First time using Jerry for our pups. He was amazing and my dogs enjoyed his visits. Nightly recommended and know we know why. Thanks Jerry , we will definitely be using his services again”

“Christy is an absolute gem and continues to go above and beyond for us. We contacted her on a holiday with a very last minute request to help with a cat emergency and she was more than happy to help us out. We are so grateful we have such a loving and kind person taking care of our animals!”

About: I’m a retired professional who enjoys staying active while providing dependable, compassionate care for pets. I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for when you’re away, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is to treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. Whether it’s walks, playtime, overnight stays, administering routine medications, or simply providing companionship, I tailor my care to each pet’s and owner’s unique needs and routine. I also believe communication is essential, so you can expect regular updates, photos, and prompt responses throughout your pet’s stay. Pet sitting isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely enjoy. Building trust with both pets and their owners is the most rewarding part of the experience. If you’re looking for a mature, reliable sitter who will provide exceptional care and give you peace of mind, I’d be honored to care for your furry family members. My schedule is flexible; especially with advance notice. Whether it’s walks and potty breaks or overnight sitting I can usually accommodate any schedule, including the holidays. Although typically we will not board at our home, on occasion we’ll make exceptions depending on the breed and temperament. We have two Shih Tzu’s that are extremely playful and nice with other pets. In your home, I will take care of your pets as you would.

About: I moved from Mi to Wa in 2015 and decided in 2018 to be a dog walker. That was in King county and after moving to a house in 2021, dog boarding turned into my new side job. Last year I also enrolled in Victoria Stilwell’s Academy for positive training. So I am very aware of dog’s body language and needs. I absolutely love dogs and they are truly my life now but when I was 8 that wasn’t the case. I was bit in the face by a family friend’s dog. He was old and on medication, I startled him awake which led to him biting me. From this incident, I watched Victoria Stilwell on animal planet to get over my fear of bigger dogs and here I am today with a certification in dog training and starting my career with human’s best friend. My goal is for you and your dog to be as comfortable as possible. I only treat dogs/pets as I would want someone to treat mine (and believe me I am a high maintenance pet mom 😉) Dogs are my job. Whether it is boarding, sitting, or walking; this is what I do full time. Sometimes I do Instacart to get out a bit but will do that when my boyfriend is home. I am starting up my bath bomb business again so to have a companion working alongside with me is my ideal work day. My boyfriend works from home majority of the time, so there is always someone home. His kids do come over 50% of the week and are very kind and helpful with dogs that are boarding with me. They are 12 and 11 so they aren’t little kids. I have lick mats, Kong Gyro, and plenty of space for your dog to have fun at my house. My house is fenced in, we are updating the property all the time to make sure it is safe as possible. For larger dogs, I have a bell on a ziptie to put on your dog’s collar just so I can hear where they are at all times when I am outside with them. For smaller pups, I always go outside with them due to being in an open area so they are safe. I also have a 30’ leash that I can hook them to for extra safety. Inside, I make them as comfortable as possible. Whatever they like at home I try my best to provide at my house.

“Sierra once again kept our kitty safe, well fed and happy for us. Always reliable and excellent with our cat. Continuous pictures and cat updates the entire time. Thanks so much!”

“We had to book last minute travel due to a family emergency, and Maria was able to accommodate us on short notice. Communication was great, and she was flexible with our needs and updates. Our Maltese, Marley, doesn’t do well with other dogs, so boarding would have been extra stressful. We really appreciated being able to schedule three drop-in visits per day. Thanks for taking care of our fur babies while we were away!”

“I'm not much for leaving reviews and am rarely impressed enough to do so. That said, I wanted to make sure I commented on the 5-star care provided by Meredith and Elliott, both of whom are as kind as they are professional. It's clear they love animals—which, of course, is key—but they also go above and beyond in SO MANY ways: Taking time to nurture and play, sending pics, suggesting special care, offering to groom and clean up after my cats and...well...I could go on. Bottom line: I'm a picky guy and I'd encourage anyone with beloved pets to hire these two in a heartbeat. (I just need to make sure I still have access to them when they're rich and famous!)”

“It is so fun to watch our dogs bursting with happiness when they realize Sarah came to visit them. Our dogs need structure and a strong leader, and they see Sarah as such. There are many instructions to follow, both behavioral and medical, and Sarah managed to follow them all. We're so happy we can finally leave for longer hours, knowing they're in Sarah's good hands.”

“Our Bloodhounds take a min to warm up to others while we are away. Dawn and her husband are very calm and patient with them and they warm up quick. Was nice to go out of town for a week knowing they were well taken care of with daily updates and pics! Highly recommend!”

About: I have grown up with animals my whole life from rodents to dogs. I have experience with labradors, basset hounds, German shepherds, Shih Tzus, and cocker spaniels. I also have had bunnies, turtles, ferrets, and I currently have 2 guinea pigs! I love all dogs, big or small! When I was in high school, I got my own yellow lab- Sedona. I trained her on basic commands: sit, stay, paw, lay down, roll over, and polite walking manors! I recently retired from the Army, and I have a flexible, part time recreation job. Mornings and Evenings are typically the best time for me to schedule, but because my schedule is flexible I can make accommodations! Whatever guidance I am given to respect someone’s home I will do! As for dog walking, I keep all dogs on a leash for their safety. I can do long walks or short- fast paced or slow sniff everything walks.
“Anne took wonderful care of Chicky while I was away. From the moment we connected, I felt completely at ease knowing my girl was in such loving and capable hands. Anne provided regular updates, photos, and little check-ins that made the distance so much easier. It was clear that Chicky felt comfortable, safe, and genuinely cared for. I came home to a happy, relaxed kitty — the biggest testament to Anne’s attention and kindness. I’m so grateful for her help and would absolutely trust her again with Chicky’s care. Highly recommend.”

“We had such a great experience with Megan! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. I really appreciate the care and attention she gave them—it gave me so much peace of mind. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! 🐾”

“Thank you, Allie, for taking wonderful care of my kitties over Christmas break! So great to be able to leave town and know my pets and my home are in good hands. Appreciate you so much!!”

“Brieanna was so helpful and great; the pups totally loved her! She was even so kind in putting away their toys before we got home. Would love to book her again!”

About: I've had dogs for 15 years and grew up with cats. I have taken care of family and friends pets including chickens, cats and dogs. We have dog sat in our home as well as done drop ins. I am available for drop in visits that include potty breaks and feeding. I am comfortable giving medications if needed. I currently work remote with the ability to work my own hours. This gives me the flexibility to care for your fur babies as needed. Having two bloodhounds I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and reliable to watch your fur babies. I like to provide updates with pictures and progress reports. I also prefer to have a meet and greet prior to make sure it's a good fit all around.

I booked Amber to watch my kitties over the Christmas holiday. I came home to my kitties healthy, and thus grateful for their care. We did have some communication issues (her phone didn’t have service/not on and a missed drop in which I had to reach out to her first (hours later) to understand what was going on). I do want to say that she did remedy the issue in the end. My only critique is that I would have wanted her to find a way to communicate with me first when things arise that affect my pets feeding schedule so I could find an alternative solution, that way she could focus on any personal emergencies that pop up. Overall Amber is nice and friendly and I know with more pet-sitting experience she will be a well-sought after Rover sitter.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bayview. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
