Hi, I’m Shannon! As a lifelong animal lover and experienced caregiver, I understand how important it is to know your pet is in safe, caring hands while you’re away. I’m a mom to two great kids (ages 16 and 6) and have loved opening our home to furry friends over the years. While we once considered adopting a pup of our own, we’ve truly enjoyed meeting and caring for so many wonderful pets through Rover! I grew up on acreage in Belfair, Washington, surrounded by animals—my parents always had dogs cats throughout my childhood years. From a young age, I learned how to care for pets of all sizes and temperaments. For the past 10+ years, I’ve provided pet care for dogs and cats while their humans were busy with work or travel, so I’m experienced with a variety of needs and personalities. I currently work remotely, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive care for your furry friend. We live in a pet-friendly area downtown with plenty of sidewalks for walks and fresh air. Whether it’s feeding, exercise, or simply making your pet feel loved and secure, I’ll treat them like one of my own. As a mom, I also want to ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone, so it’s important that your dog is comfortable around young children. If you’re unsure, I recommend finding a sitter who better fits your needs to keep things stress-free for both you and your pup. I know being apart from your pet can be tough, so I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and notes. Shannon was amazing! What a great person & dog sitter. My older dog Stella is relaxed but has a few habits, and I’m always a little particular with who she stays with in general. From the moment we met, I know she’d be in safe hands & Shannon often sent updates/photos. I could tell she was cared for as if she was their dog! Shannon was great, and our pup loved her soooo much! 10000% a dog person. Our dog is pretty timid and marched right in to be loved on. We are new to the area, and still settling in, so It was a great relief!
Shannon was gracious enough to look after our aging pup, Ellie, on the week of Christmas. We scheduled a meet and greet to make sure Ellie would be a good fit for her home. While away, she made sure Ellie’s medications and eye drops were done each day and kept me informed on how she was doing. It was an overall great experience and we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing Ellie was in great hands.
Shannon did an amazing job caring for our dog, Rocket, over the holiday. We are returning Clients and certainly will continue to request her services as needed. He was well loved, well taken care of, and treated like part of the family. I really appreciated the frequent updates and photos as it gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was happy and doing well. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend Shannon!

Schedule
My typical drop-off and pick-up times are between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. If you anticipate a later pick-up, your pup will need to stay overnight, as we’re an early-to-bed family. I’m home most of the day, aside from brief periods for school drop-offs, pick-ups, or occasional appointments. If your dog isn’t comfortable being left alone for short periods, I kindly recommend finding a sitter who can accommodate their needs. Last minute bookings can be tricky as I almost always require a meet and greet beforehand to ensure everyone jives and the pet is comfortable in our home. Thank you for understanding! Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities! While inside, I’m happy to tailor their experience to match what they’re used to at home—whether that means snuggles on the furniture, relaxing on the floor, or sticking to house rules. At night, I can accommodate a cozy kennel, let them roam freely, or even share some bed snuggles (depending on their size and your preferences). I take extra care to ensure your pup feels secure and at ease while staying with me. Our home is pet-friendly, and I’m attentive to any special routines or needs they may have. You can trust that your furry friend will be loved, monitored, and well cared for as if they were my own. Feel free to let me know about your pet’s habits, preferences, or any special instructions—I’m happy to accommodate!
A typical day
We’re a calm yet active family, and your pup will feel right at home with us! A typical day includes plenty of love, attention, and fun activities tailored to your dog’s needs. I work from home Monday through Friday, so while I’m usually on my computer during the day, I make time for frequent potty breaks, walks, and, of course, pets and cuddles. We also enjoy taking walks to the park just down the street, giving your furry friend a chance to stretch their legs, explore, and get some fresh air. In the evenings, we wind down in a cozy, relaxed atmosphere and are always happy to enjoy some snuggles with your fur baby (if they’re up for it!). Whether your dog loves playtime, cuddles, or a mix of both, we’ll make sure their day is filled with care, comfort, and attention.
