“Dennis and Lynn took such excellent care of our bulldog! They sent us updates each day during his stay and he always appeared to be happy, engaged in play and even sometimes zoomies, which means he was very much at home with them. Our family deeply appreciates the kind of care they provided. Thank you guys!”

“I was so glad to leave Moana with Sara. I felt confident as it was my first time leaving my pooch behind. She sent me pictures daily and she was having a blast with the other dogs! I had to go away for the holidays and I think this was a vacation for my pup in itself! Thanks Sara for taking good care of my baby girl.”

“Jennifer took wonderful care of my two rescue Chi mixes who can be a little nervous and reactive. She took them for a walk and sent pictures of them cozied up during their stay. Our first overnight was a success! I also appreciated the care and attention she showed during our initial meet and greet. She is kind and patient and I feel comfortable leaving my beloved pups with her. They were happy to come home when she graciously brought them out to my car.”

“Daria was such a wonderful sitter for our pup. We had her watch our 6 year old West Highland Terrier mix over 7 days. She sent a ton of photos during the stay and made our dog feel like she was part of her family. Highly recommend!”

“What a wonderful host for our special needs pug - didn't have to worry at all that she gave him the very best care when we had to be away for a family emergency. I'm sure he'll miss his little vacation!”

“Keana was a life saver this weekend and she and Milo just clicked. I was nervous about their interaction since it was the first time meeting but milo was a good boy per usual. We will definitely see her again ❤️”

“Jamie was wonderful with our dogs during their first stay with them! As nervous puppy parents, we really appreciated the updates she sent, which helped us relax and enjoy our time away. She did a great job managing our puppy, who had a bit of potty-training regression in the new environment, and also helped our dogs get comfortable with the other dogs who were there. We highly recommend Jamie and would definitely book with her again!”

“It's comforting to know Guava is well taken care of and we never have to worry about her when she's with Michelle. Always great communication, updates and pictures. Guava is comfortable and loves being there. Thanks again Michelle, Keith, and Lola!”

“Ben and Sarah were amazing and so great with Oliver!! It was clear Ollie felt comfortable around them and was given plenty of attention. I received daily updates with pictures of Ollie looking happy as ever! They made sure he was very well taken care of and gave me a very detailed synopsis once I got back to pick him up. He was walked, given lots of play and outside time, well-fed, and given LOTS of attention and cuddles! Would definitely use them again!”

“Our Labrador always loves staying with Alex and Amanda! They do a wonderful job taking care of him, he gets lots of time playing ball, and they provide daily updates while he's boarding with them. He always comes home healthy and happy.”

“Chloe is a Legend!! Our plans changed due to various reasons and she was very accommodating and adjusting to our modifying needs. We left our pup for more than a week. She sent plenty of updates and looks like he had a great time with some of the other dogs. She’s also very kind and great to work with. Will definitely go with her in the future :)”

“Jerry took such excellent care of our senior pup. Monte is 12yo on a special diet with daily med, torn cruciate ligament and trick knee, anxiety, and the list goes on. When I picked him up, he was elated to see me as expected but also somehow more relaxed, and he was moving and grooving far better than expected! It was immediately obvious that he was well cared for and felt safe and secure with Jerry. Speaking with Jerry, you'll find he has an incredible canine intuition that cannot be taught or trained. His knowledge of dog behavior and experience caring for them is absolutely invaluable. We wholly trust our beloved pup with him and have already booked with Jerry again!”

“Tyler and Amanda are undoubtedly the best. This lovely couple cared for our dog for two weeks and consistently updated us with videos and photos showcasing their daily activities. Even a single day was missed. We recommend Tyler and Amanda as the best option if anyone requires a trustworthy and responsible dog sitter.”

“Amazing Dog Boarding Experience - We boarded our dog Rambo with Quang for 5 days and couldn’t be happier with the care provided. Right from the start, Quang was friendly, responsive, and felt that he was clearly experienced with dogs. His house has good sized backyard which made me feel happier since my dog can play in the backyard whenever needed rather than confined to a small place. Felt our pup was well looked after, got plenty of playtime and we also received regular photo and video updates, which really put our minds at ease while we were away. It’s clear that Quang truly loves dogs and treats them like family. We’ll definitely be booking again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and professional dog breader!”

“Brenda was a wonderful sitter for Penny! She was responsive, detail orientated, sent the best pictures, and I could tell she really cared about Pennys wellbeing! Would highly recommend.”

“Jordin was so awesome she kept me up to date and sent pictures on a daily this was my first time doing something like this I was nervous and scared. But jordin had reassured me greatly I will definitely be back for future bookings with her ! ❤️”

You have given us a complete comfort & peace of mind that our dogs were in the best hands! Thank you so much again!! We have finally found our forever sitter.. and we will definitely booking with you again!!”

“Our dog loved spending time at Alexis and Tyler’s house while we were out of town for a weekend. They sent photos daily and shared updates. They even dropped her off at our house! Our dog Fiona sometimes seems a little anxious when we leave her, but when we got back after she spent time with Tyler and Alexis, she was calm and her nervous system was regulated. Thank you Alexis and Tyler!”

“Sammy and her roommate took excellent care of my old pup! They let him roam the house, sleep wherever, and be himself. They did great with his medication and feeding schedules, and even took him for a car ride! I will definitely board with them again! My old guy loved spending the weekend with them and it was obvious when I picked him up!”

I’m so glad to have left Teddy at Kathy’s care. From the initial meeting, I knew Teddy would be in good hands. Kathy is very thorough. She asked questions, made sure Teddy would be comfortable, and she really put my mind at ease while I was away. The updates were comforting and Teddy came home tired and happy. I will definitely book again and I highly recommend Kathy to anyone who’s looking to leave your fur baby in great hands.

Kersea did great! Amazing consistent communication and great pictures anytime I needed. And tobi loved being with her he looked comfortable with her. I truly appreciate the work and care she had for my boy. Id definitely bring him back to her when I need to go out of town again she did really good. She definitely has had care for animals before. Thank you kersea!

We “hit the jackpot” in finding Shannon & Bert! Our 9-year Bernedoodle (Griffey) is still a “puppy at heart” ..very active and excitable! To prepare for a week long stay, we did 3 days of daycare with Shannon & Bert. They kept us informed each day, and by the time our vacation arrived Griffey was accustomed to going there. Throughout our trip they put our minds at ease with their updates & photos! Knowing that Griffey was being so well cared for allowed us to thoroughly enjoy our trip! Griffey had his own little vacation with Shannon & Bert and (like us) came home happily tired! We highly recommend Shannon & Bert and will certainly book with them again!

Another wonderful stay for our pup with Erika!! She always goes above and beyond, sending photos and lots of detailed updates that show just how well she knows our girl. She truly loves Lyla like her own dog and makes our trips out of town completely worry free. Erika was extremely easy-going when our return flight was delayed by several hours, responding to my messages and updates quickly and keeping our pup for longer than planned!

Jenae is a fantastic, trusted sitter. She watched our nervous, shy dog during the 4th of July weekend, and it went very well. We got regular updates, and we were comfortable and assured leaving our pup with Jenae. This was our second time booking Jenae, and we'll choose her again the next time we're out of town.

Tyler and Amanda took such good care of our dog, and was so thoughtful to send frequent updates and ask thorough questions. We were frequently reassured that our pup was in good hands while we were away. Extremely thoughtful and responsive, I would highly recommend and use again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
