Pet care experience

Easy going and attentive dog lover

I've had family pets since I was a child and gravitate towards dogs as an adult. I learned a lot about dog training as a puppy raiser for a service dog organization, in this role I fostered and trained a service puppy for a year! I love being in the outdoors and will often take dogs out on hikes or mountain bike rides.

Casey and Eric were so great with Banjo. Sent lots of updates and gave us peace of mind while we were away. We will book with them and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Schedule

I work full-time, but only in the evenings and occasional weekends. My partner works a normal 9-5 so generally a dog would not be alone longer than 4-5 hours.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a small/medium sized fenced-in backyard for play and potty breaks. I understand it can be anxiety inducing to leave your pup with a stranger, so I will communicate with daily updates/photos/videos to let you know how it's going. When pups are left alone I want them to be safe, especially being in a new space, so I will use a crate if that's something they are used to. I am fine with other arrangements too if you feel it is safe to do so.

A typical day

I love to be active, so typically will take long walks or hikes with dogs in my care. With my work schedule, I have plenty of time at the start of the day to spend with them. If your pup is a good trail pup, I would love to take them hiking, biking or skiing. They'll have some time to themselves in the afternoon. Once my partner comes home they can get some time to chill or maybe get another walk in depending on what happened earlier in the day.

I understand that every dog has different needs and temperaments, so please let me know ALL about them so that I can keep them happy and safe. No such thing as too much information here. If your pup is very anxious or barks excessively, it may be best to do a house sitting situation rather than boarding.
