“Hannah is great! She is kind and caring, and I feel comfortable leaving my puppy with her. She took a good care of my little boy. We received daily updates and pictures, which was very nice. I highly recommend her!”

“Amazing!! I felt like Leslie really cared about my dog and he had a great time at Leslie’s place. Frequent update with cute pictures and videos of my dog and many play times!! Would definitely recommend Leslie with confidence :)”

“Awesome as always, Tyler and Alexis were flexible with a partial refund when we had to cancel most of Ted’s latest stay. He was a happy camper when I picked him up. He’ll be back for the next trip!”

“Samantha is not only a great dog sitter, she is an excellent florist. Give her a little advanced notice and your budget and she'll have a gorgeous bouquet ready for you.”

“We loved Kizzie’s daily photo and story updates. It made us feel like our cat was well taken care off. I also appreciated her willingness for a meet and greet prior to boarding to see how the cats would like each other (moco and ours). She has a great set up to help cats integrate with each other especially if it is a first time!”

“Joshua was amazing! He is very communicative and flexible, from the meet and greet through boarding. He braved the rain and took my pup on lots of walks and to the park. And shared tons of pics.”

“Nancy takes such good care of our Wayne! He’s a sensitive soul, so I’m always so heartbroken having to leave him behind. However Nancy, her home, and family are so gentle and good to him! I messed up and he ran out of his food during our trip, she went out and found his exact food! Kind and trustworthy! 10/10!”

“This was our first time staying with Quang and my dog, Leia had the best stay! Their chocolate lab Boo was the perfect companion along with the other dogs he was boarding at the same time. His communication was very prompt and I got a ton of videos and pictures to see how well my pup was doing while we were gone. He has a nice fenced area for the dogs to play and works from home so that is a plus. He is very attentive. Highly recommend Quang!”

“Trusting someone with our pet is tough but we could not ask for a better sitter. Irey, has great communication skills and kept us informed on Roo's day. There were multiple walks and even some downtime cuddling on the couch. We were impressed that he got Bobaroo to eat his breakfast and dinner. (something he does not do when we are gone) We got lots of great pictures and were able to enjoy our trip knowing Roo was in capable hands. We highly recommend Irey!!”

“Alexis is absolutely amazing. Sonny had a wonderful time, was so well cared for and we had to change our flight last minute to extend our trip and she was incredibly accommodating. Sonny came back tired from several days of playing and a super happy guy. Definitely trust your pup with Alexis, she is wonderful!!”

“George had an excellent time on his stay. He played very well with their Nikko amd we had daily pics and videos. Always great to know your dog is being well taken care of when away. Highly recommend Maria and Kalyan!”

“My dog had loving pets the whole time she was at Erica's by Erica, her husband, or her daughter. Lola also had friendly dogs to play with while she stayed over. Thank you Erica.”

“J & J were amazing! They treated Theo as he was their own dog, lots of love and endless snuggles. We got daily photos and updates and they were very flexible with pick up and drop off. So good, we booked again immediately upon pick up! Thanks again!”

“Richard was amazing with a last minute booking with our highly anxious pups! He was so responsive, and sent us tons of updates starting right after we dropped them off. It was a huge relief to have them in such a safe snuggly place and we will definitely be repeat visitors!”

“Brenda was a wonderful sitter for Penny! She was responsive, detail orientated, sent the best pictures, and I could tell she really cared about Pennys wellbeing! Would highly recommend.”

“Marina and Richard were great! They sent regular photos and updates, were super communicative and it was clear our pup was happy there. He’s a senior dog and needs a bit more care in some ways, and they handled his needs perfectly. We felt totally comfortable leaving Mosby with them and would certainly board with them again!”

“Our dog had a great time during his stay with Miriam. She sent pics every day. Our fur baby also enjoyed hanging out with his new friend Betty (Miriam’s dog)! He was all puckered out when we picked him up. We will definitely reach out to Miriam in the future and highly recommend her!”

Tyler and Alexis did a great job watching our anxious pup! They made sure he received the space he initially needs, and then once he warmed up met him at his comfort level. Overall I could tell my dog was very comfortable and we would definitely come back to have Tyler and Alexis watch Kenji again!

We “hit the jackpot” in finding Shannon & Bert! Our 9-year Bernedoodle (Griffey) is still a “puppy at heart” ..very active and excitable! To prepare for a week long stay, we did 3 days of daycare with Shannon & Bert. They kept us informed each day, and by the time our vacation arrived Griffey was accustomed to going there. Throughout our trip they put our minds at ease with their updates & photos! Knowing that Griffey was being so well cared for allowed us to thoroughly enjoy our trip! Griffey had his own little vacation with Shannon & Bert and (like us) came home happily tired! We highly recommend Shannon & Bert and will certainly book with them again!

Another wonderful stay for our pup with Erika!! She always goes above and beyond, sending photos and lots of detailed updates that show just how well she knows our girl. She truly loves Lyla like her own dog and makes our trips out of town completely worry free. Erika was extremely easy-going when our return flight was delayed by several hours, responding to my messages and updates quickly and keeping our pup for longer than planned!

Joe was wonderful with our pitbull and shih tzu! He was thoughtful, communicative, and attentive both before and during their care. He gave them plenty of walks, made sure they were comfortable, and kept us updated with pictures and messages. Joe was also very flexible and accommodating, which gave us great peace of mind. We would absolutely book with him again!

Melissa & Kyle took excellent care of my 8 year old Lab, Betty. They are knowledgeable "dog people", attentive, and great communicators. Betty joined their 2 playful & active Goldens for a week of fun. Kyle is always around as he works from home. Their yard is exceptionally well fenced and we'll maintained. Betty will be back.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
