About: Raised around dogs (and cats) and would love to care for your pets in my home or yours. Comfortable with senior dogs as well as others. I am retired and available any time. I would need a couple of days' notice, preferably. I live in an apartment with a beautiful dog-walking area and nearby parks to walk in. I no longer have pets of my own, having just lost my 17-year-old Rat Terrier. I am comfortable with all dogs and cats. I can administer medications and make sure they feel safe with me. I don't push, but let them come to me when they feel ready. Separation from you is anxiety-inducing, and I do my best to calm them and let them now they are not alone.

About: I’ve spent more than 20 years caring for animals, and being around pets has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve owned dogs for most of my life, and when I didn’t have one of my own, I was the person friends, family, and neighbors relied on to care for theirs. My experience includes caring for both large and small dog breeds, each with their own personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’ve also cared for rabbits and horses and spent several summers on a farm, giving me hands-on experience with a variety of animals and teaching me the importance of patience, consistency, and responsible care. In addition, my brother is a professional dog trainer, which has given me valuable insight into dog behavior, communication, and positive handling techniques. While I’m not a certified trainer, I’ve learned practical skills that help me understand dogs and create a calm, safe environment for them. I offer boarding, drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply sticking to their daily routine, I’ll make sure they receive personalized care, plenty of attention, and lots of love while you’re away. I understand that leaving your pet with someone else takes trust. My goal is to treat every animal like they’re part of my own family, so you can feel confident knowing they’re in caring, dependable hands. Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I genuinely enjoy making time for it. I’m currently pretty flexible, and starting in September, I’ll mainly be available afternoons, evenings, and weekends. My schedule can vary from time to time, but I’ll always keep my availability updated and make sure every pet gets the time, attention, and care they need. I try to make every pet feel as comfortable as possible by sticking to the routine they’re used to. Every dog is different, so I always ask about their schedule, personality, and any special instructions before I start caring for them. If I’m working that day, I always make sure we get a good walk in before I leave. It’s a great way for them to use the bathroom, burn off some energy, and start the day on a positive note. I usually aim for at least a 30-minute walk. When I get home, we head back outside for another potty break and walk. Depending on your dog’s age, energy level, and what they enjoy, our walk might be 30 minutes or it could turn into a longer walk around the neighborhood. Before bed, I always take them out one last time so they’re comfortable for the night. I follow whatever feeding schedule you already have in place, whether that’s in the morning, afternoon, or evening. I know pets thrive on routine, so I do my best to keep things as normal as possible while you’re away. Most importantly, I treat every pet like they’re my own. They’ll get plenty of attention, playtime, affection, fresh water, and lots of love. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, happy, and cared for—and for you to feel completely at ease knowing they’re in good hands.

About: I am trained in animal welfare by AZA accredited institution, and committed to keeping your pet safe, happy, and comfortable. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, and I am ready to help active dogs burn off energy with walks, run, and play. I am a long time pet owner and my first dog care experience came from my pet cockapoo "Felix". I base my daily and weekly routine around the wants and needs of the animals I am caring for to ensure their comfort and wellbeing. I keep pets comfortable by providing care in their own homes, following their routines exactly as instructed and communicating with owners as needed or wanted. On walks or trips to parks, I ensure safety with double checking leashes, getting to know the pets temperament, and staying cautious.

About: I’ve had a lot of exposure to animals from a young age, mainly with dogs of all ages and temperaments, but I have cared for exotic animals and understand how important their needs all are. I work totally on my own schedule as I want but don’t have a strict schedule, making it easier to take care of animals. My schedule is not set in any way. Typically I care for them based on the request of the owner within reason, but I tend to give them as much attention and love as they need. I want them to feel loved. For visits and walks I try to be encouraging and go at the animal’s pace.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was a small kid! I believe pets deserve all the love, and I understand and am able to work with reactive dogs as well. I do work full time remotely! But I use all my breaks to walk and play with my dogs. I am almost always home, and visit the dog part frequently I treat my pets, and all pets with love and respect. I always make sure that they are able to go potty when they need to, get fed consistently, and have plenty toys and treats.

I’ve dog-sat for everything from a couple of hours at a time to several days or even a week, and I’m comfortable caring for both individual dogs and households with multiple dogs. My experience includes feeding, walks, playtime, keeping up with normal routines, giving plenty of attention, and making sure pets are comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. One of the most important parts of pet sitting to me is making sure your pet is just as comfortable with me as I am with them. Whenever possible, I strongly prefer to meet you and your dog before the first sitting session. This gives your dog a chance to meet me while you’re there, get familiar with my presence, and helps us make sure we’re a good fit before you leave them in my care. During that meeting, I also like to learn about their personality, routine, boundaries, favorite things, and anything that might make them nervous or uncomfortable. Every dog is different, and I never want to force an interaction or put an animal into a situation where they don’t feel safe. While caring for your pet, I’m careful with doors, gates, leashes, feeding instructions, and any household rules you have in place. I’ll treat your home with the same respect I give your animals as well as my own, and I’m happy to provide photos and updates throughout the stay. My goal is for you to leave knowing your pet is with someone they’ve already met, are comfortable around, and can feel safe with.

I used to sleep in my family dogs pet pen with her because that’s where my family wanted her to sleep, I couldn’t let her sleep alone. I genuinely get so much joy from spending time loving on the sweet fur babies of this world and look forward to ensuring that while you are away, your fur babies feel loved and well cared for :) I am generally free Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, but may be able to make other days/times work occasionally! I often work from home Monday & Tuesday so those days can be more flexible depending on the week. I can occasionally do longer term stays (up to a few weeks), as long as there is a good set up for me to work from your home part time, so feel free to reach out about longer stays as well. About: Hello, my name is Liv, and I am a long time caregiver of animals. I have always understood animals better than people-- which is fine by me! Over the years, I have volunteered for wildlife rescues, shelters in my hometown in Montana; I have also fostered, rescued and secured homes for many creatures great and small here in Washington. I have been training and caring for dogs for fun and professionally for a little over 10 years. I'm happy to provide referrals from local petsitting clients upon request. I have a great deal of experience with senior animals, and I am very comfortable administering medications and changing diapers, puppy pads, etc. I also have experience with exotics like birds, snakes, fish, bunnies, and chickens(I have 6 chickens). I grew up in a rural area around horses and lots of other kinds of animals. Care policies: -For my safety, I will ONLY serve clients that have booked a meet and greet. This ensures we can both decide if your pets and I are a good fit. -Any additional animals that I am caring for MUST be disclosed before a booking(fish, amphibians, snakes, chickens, etc) I am comfortable with exotics and birds, but I will need to incorporate these into my billing structure. -owners must supply all pet necessities like doggy bags, food, and medications prior to the booking for the entire duration of any housesitting or boarding. -Cameras indoors must be disclosed as per Rover's policy and WA state two-way recording consent law. For my privacy and safety I cover any indoor cameras when I am present. I will always uncover upon leaving a property as I understand the value of security systems. I am also happy to notify you when I am entering or leaving for any extended periods for your peace of mind. -30 minute Drop ins with more than a 20 minute travel time are booked the full hour. I run a local business and a non profit. I am usually able to be fairly flexible with scheduling, but I do have a part time day job. I typically try to provide a lot of enrichment time beyond just walks so your pup or cat feels tired and well socialized when I leave your place. This can include games, fetch, or puzzles, working through any basic commands they know to make their brains work, and for cats I like to make sure they get out their "hunting" so they can sleep that 16 hours the rest of the day. I am not able to facilitate outings to offleash dog parks due to the liability risk-- Dog parks present high rates of bites and other injuries and illnesses. I have a dog-friendly, modern vehicle equipped with front and rear dash cams. If you would like your dog to accompany me on appropriate outings or take them to a pedestrian friendly park or trail, I am typically more happy to oblige. I will never leave a dog unattended in a vehicle or in public. I will never introduce a dog to other dogs or allow greetings with other animals without consent of owners. If your dog is afraid of specific things like cars, bicycles, or large dogs, this must be disclosed. I am very familiar with dog health, behavior, many different breed profiles, and aggressive/nervous body language. If I notice any health concerns or behaviors that were not discussed or noticeable during conversations or a meet and greet, I will always check in with you. I'm always happy to send pictures and video. I offer boarding on a case by case basis if your dog is a good fit for my household. My yard is fenced, my dog can be kept separate, and we have an excellent trail nearby.
