Timothy always goes above and beyond for us, like bringing in our packages even though we didn't ask (thank you Timothy!!). Our cat Pepper loves him very much, which is saying something because she is a very shy girl. We always feel good leaving her in Timothy's care.

About: My family has always had dogs and over the last 10+ years I have provided care for them. I have cared for my own pets, as well as many other pets on Rover with various health needs and abilities. This includes older dogs and cats, those with health/medical issues/needs, those who need medication, as well as those with other types of support needs. I genuinely get so much joy from spending time loving on the sweet fur babies of this world and look forward to ensuring that while you are away, your fur babies feel loved and well cared for :) I am generally free Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, but may be able to make other days/times work occasionally! I often work from home Monday & Tuesday so those days can be more flexible depending on the week. I can occasionally do longer term stays (up to a few weeks), as long as there is a good set up for me to work from your home part time, so feel free to reach out about longer stays as well. I am flexible, and I prefer to hear from you about how you would like your fur baby to be cared for. I am happy to do whatever is easiest and most comfortable for you and your pet(s) :) I am very communicative, professional, respectful of your space and thoughtful in my care and won’t be afraid to ask questions and keep you updated on how things are going!

Ashley did a great job caring for my cats while I was in Asia! She wrote good notes in the app every day, included extra photos and videos, and she really seemed to bond with my cats! They seemed to trust her which I appreciate. I also had a bit of an issue and she ended up fitting me into her schedule sort of last minute, which I really appreciate. She was a great sitter. I would absolutely book her again!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8, from newborn puppies to senior dogs with special needs. I love playing fetch, cuddling on the couch for quiet time as well as running around together in the terraced backyard. If you’re looking for a mini summer camp for your pup, no matter their size or age, you’ve found the right place! I work from home as an artist with 2 small dogs that love meeting new friends! I’m home Monday- Friday and several weekends each month. I also have a separate living room for your cat where it will have the run of the place without other pets. I don’t have children, I have dogs. They sleep in the bedroom and I take them everywhere; camping, roadtrips, and I’ve even taken them abroad with me for vacation!

We feel so lucky to have found Envee! She took amazing care of our four cats — Cheezit and Zhu Zhu (our older seniors) and Momo and Zuchini (our younger, more energetic ones) — while we were out of town. On top of that, she let our dog Zig stay at her place for the whole week and treated him like one of her own. He even had he first pup cup and got to experience water days/hiking days, Golden Gardens, and his first rugby game this summer! Envee was super communicative and sent us regular updates and cuteeee photos, which totally put our minds at ease. The cats were happy and relaxed when we got home, the house was tidy, and Zig came back chill and clearly well-loved. You can tell she really cares for furry creatures and goes the extra mile. We especially loved the cat tv and music that were left on so the kits wouldn’t be left in a quiet home! We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again — highly recommend! “)

My background allows me to confidently administer both oral and injection medications, ensuring that your pet remains on their prescribed health schedule while you are away. About: Hello! I am Anna. I have experience caring for young and elderly dogs from Newfoundland’s, labs, boxers, and border collies, and a few cats here and there. I have worked with dogs (and cats) that are a bit higher maintenance and need more day to day care (medication, special food, etc) as well as pups who are very easy going. While in Iceland I also took care of two arctic foxes at the Arctic Fox Center, with daily feeding and playing in their enclosure. I’d be very excited to meet any dogs or cats who need some care while their parents are out of town, or who just need a walk every so often throughout the week. I am back in the US visiting family right now with a variable schedule as I will occasionally pick up shifts working in marine mammal protection or as an EMT. Looking forward to meeting your best friends! I am back in the US visiting family and I currently have a varied and flexible schedule that I am happy to coordinate with you and your pet on. I have always been taught to leave a place better than I found it, so you can rest assured I will find a way to do that if you ask me to stay in your home. I like to ensure pets feel comfy and cozy in their homes while I’m there or when I pop in for a visit. I like to make sure the pet has everything they need and that all hazards are out of reach. Growing up with a Newfoundland and multiple labs this is something I know all too well.

Erica was great she took really good care of my cat Sadie. She handled all my cats special needs. it was the first time I was able to go on vacation and not have to worry about my fur baby. I knew she was in good hands. Erica kept me well informed and sent me pictures daily. My cat really likes her I can tell cuz she acted like she was looking for her the first night that i got home right about the time that Erica makes her visits. Also hearing that my cat was following her all over the place tells me that she really liked her. Thank you for your service. Diane Gotti

About: I have been caring for a wide range of pets since I was 10 years old, growing up with dogs, cats, and Guinea pigs. As a kid I would frequently walk neighbors dogs and look after pets when my neighbors were away. My love for animals led me to volunteer at a veterinary hospital when I was 14, which turned into a job at 16. I have 8 years experience working with a local vet and 30 years experience as a pet caretaker and owner. Our family currently has our big boy, Bear. He is a calm and patient 8 year old 150lb silver lab with food allergies and other medical needs, so we have experience in administering oral, topical and injectable medications, as well as dealing with dietary restrictions. We look forward to caring for your dog! We are an active family, so multiple walks a day are standard. I work from home, so we are always around to give your doggo the love and care they deserve. Our home is situated in a quiet neighborhood on a dead end street close by multiple parks. We have a secure, fully fenced 3500 square foot backyard with access into the house through a dog door. Our dog is fed twice a day, but can accommodate any feeding/potty break schedule your dog has.

About: I wrote down 25 years for experience because that’s how old I am, my family has always had dogs and I have always been overjoyed being around them. I’m super nurturing & caring. I used to sleep in my family dogs pet pen with her because that’s where my family wanted her to sleep, I couldn’t let her sleep alone. My heart is so full and I love any and every animal that I come across & create a special bond with them. I’m available 24/7! I got you covered. :) I’m currently looking for a job, I am full of energy and ready to bring in more love into my life, and to help people out in any way, that’s amazing to me. I’m not currently doing boarding. I have a large dog crate available, water available 24/7, I have two large breed dogs that love play time. Your dog won’t be lonely here! I live in a house and will take your baby out whenever and how often that’s needed. I also have a private enclosed fenced in yard for the dogs. I’m very attentive & won’t let anything happen to your fur baby!

About: Hi there! I’ve taken care of dogs for years, both my own and friends, and love them all like they are my own. I’m reliable, prompt, attentive, and loving. I also have a sweet 5 yr old Beagle Labrador (Mushu) who loves other dogs of all sizes. He will love to play with your furry friend during their stay with us. I am flexible to your dogs needs. I WFH on Fridays, while my boyfriend is WFH everyday, so there will always be someone home to keep your fur baby company. We can take your dog out multiple times and keep them entertained throughout the day. I have a fenced yard (~half acre) area at my house where your dog can play to their hearts desire, and enjoy long walks around to nearby neighborhood parks North SeaTac Park and Sunset Park. My home is dog proof, with plenty of space to play. If your dog is comfortable with other dogs, my 4 year old beagle labrador (Mushu) is very friendly and would love to play with your furry friend. Your fur baby can expect multiple walks and play sessions throughout the day, potty breaks every 2-4 hours or as frequently as needed, and is allowed on the bed and furniture. Lots of belly rubs, snuggles, and love will be provided. :)

About: I've loved and cared for dogs for 20+ years — and it's the senior and high-needs ones that have shaped me most as a caretaker. I've worked professionally as a dog walker and sitter, volunteered on a farm tending to sheep, pigs, and cows, and have logged years of animal care across a wide variety of contexts. My focus and true passion is senior and high-needs dogs. I currently care for Momo, my 11-year-old mini poodle rescue, who requires daily medication, mobility support, and consistent patience with separation anxiety rooted in past trauma. I'm fully comfortable managing medication schedules, specialized diets, and the kind of attentive, adaptive care that older or more complex dogs require. I also guided my previous dog, an Old English Sheepdog, through her full senior journey — including dementia-informed reactivity, significant mobility challenges, and all the nuanced day-to-day care that came with loving a big dog through her final chapter. I share my home with two poodles: Momo, and Stormy — a big, friendly 7-year-old standard who loves meeting new dogs and is equally happy to give them space if that's what they need. Stormy splits his time between my home and family nearby, so his presence varies by stay. I now work from home in a different field, and pet care is my way of staying connected to the animals I love. Your dog gets calm, present, unhurried attention from someone who is genuinely home — and genuinely invested. Senior dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs who need a little extra are especially welcome here! I work from home the majority of the week, so I'm present and available throughout most days. I'm typically in office one to two days a week — usually Wednesdays and/or Thursdays — for roughly 8 hours. Outside of those days, I'm home and attentive during business hours and fully available on evenings and weekends. I have a fully fenced yard, a one-story layout with no stairs to navigate — especially important for senior or mobility-limited dogs — and gate separation available so visiting dogs can be in the mix while still having their own space. Crates are available if needed. I keep pet cameras throughout the home so I can monitor remotely on the rare occasion I'm out. All dogs have dedicated feeding stations and I'm happy to accommodate varying meal times and dietary needs. Animal CPR documentation is posted in the home, an emergency vet is less than a mile away, and I have reliable transportation should anything come up.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Sitting in Burien on Rover is $22.2 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 12,268 sitters on Rover offering Dog Sitting across Burien. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Burien stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Burien choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Burien with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Burien. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
