“We had to leave last minute for a family emergency and Ivana was super helpful, responsive, and easy going. She was able to accommodate a meet and greet prior to us leaving. She was understanding with schedule changes too. I would highly recommend Ivanna for your sitting needs.”

“Savonne was a fantastic sitter for my dog. She followed instructions perfectly. She was very communicative, and also easy going. My Haru was a very happy girl when I came back to her. I would request again!”
“Very easy to talk to and communicative. Jisu did an excellent job updating us throughout the week of dogsitting. Sent lots of photos too! She was gentle with our dogs and took time to make sure my anxious dog ate her food.”

“Harley was great! I have a spicy older male cat who needs twice daily heart meds he's very good at avoiding, on top of both of my cats being a little skittish around new people. Harley had him taking pills no problem. She's on time and sends good updates to keep you in the loop.”

“They dutifully came and cared for our cats while we were gone for a week. They even did little extra things like bring in the mail for us despite us not contracting them to do so which we really appreciate. Would book again 100%”

About: Hi there my name is Katie and I’ve been pet sitting/ housesitting for about 8 years now. I love what I do and I go above and beyond when it comes to taking care of your pet(s) and home. Not only do I provide top quality care and lots of cuddles and love for your pet(s) but I also bring in packages and mail, do walks, water any plants, take trash and recycle out to the curb, give plenty of updates with pictures if requested, and finally I will leave your home better, than when I first arrived. Im still available for housesitting this Christmas and I’m still available for housecalls so I would reach out soon to make sure that your home base is covered while you are away! Thank you to everyone ☺️ I will have the capability to work around the needs and wants that you have for your animals because I’m self employed with the ability to design my own schedule. I’ve been doing this for a long time and one thing I know is to go by the comfort level of the pets. Lots of times I’ve worked with rescue dogs who have a hard time meeting new people. In cases like those I follow the dogs lead. I am in their space, therefore trust must be built, some more slowly but in the end, I aim to keep everyone safe and happy.
About: What truly sets me apart is my calm, steady presence and my firm but kind temperament — pets pick up on our energy, and I strive to create a safe, relaxed, and positive environment for every animal in my care. Whether I’m reassuring a nervous rescue, setting gentle boundaries for an excitable pup, or coaxing a shy kitty out for treats and snuggles, I approach every situation with patience, and warmth. I believe in treating every pet like family, learning their individual routines, preferences, and quirks so they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet your furry companions and give them the care and attention they deserve! I am away in the morning for a few hours then I work from home the rest of the morning/afternoon. I’m able available to attend to their needs as they arise and provide plenty of attention, potty breaks and walks throughout the day — not just during quick check-ins. I am available to care for your pet in my home or your home depending on the service requested. Whether in my home or yours, I will feed your pet according to their feeding schedule, provide fresh water at all times, engage in play with them and clean up after them. In my home I am able to provide a quiet, peaceful, pet-friendly environment with a large fenced in yard to run around in. Inside I love to draw the blinds and give pets a cozy spot by the window to sunbathe while watching the people, pets and wildlife pass by. It is my motto to leave a space better than you left it so while in your home I will not only follow all routines and procedures as needed but I also like to tidy up after the animals and provide photo updates to put you at ease.
“Stephanie took great care of my 3.5 month old mini dachshund puppy (Siggi) for a few hours while I had to be away. Stephanie was prompt, communicative, and followed instructions. Best of all, she and Siggi got along very well and I'm glad he has a new reliable friend!”

About: I’m a gentle and active pet lover with lifelong experience caring for animals. I currently have a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd and have grown up with pets, including cats, a Doberman, and another Aussie, so I’m comfortable with many breeds and personalities. I love staying active with dogs and understand how important both physical exercise and mental stimulation are. I enjoy walks, playtime, and enrichment activities that keep dogs happy, balanced, and well-behaved. I’ve also cared for cats and understand their unique needs and routines. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and engaged while their owners are away. Weekdays I am available early mornings to afternoon until 4 pm. Weekends: depending, case by case basis. Sundays after 12 pm. Please write in advance. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow their routine closely, ensure they are always supervised, and adjust care based on their needs. I provide a calm, positive environment and keep your home clean and respected while caring for your pet. I also make sure they get both physical exercise and mental stimulation through safe, engaging activities.
About: I've had family pets since I was a child and gravitate towards dogs as an adult. I learned a lot about dog training as a puppy raiser for a service dog organization, in this role I fostered and trained a service puppy for a year! I love being in the outdoors and will often take dogs out on hikes or mountain bike rides. I work full-time, but only in the evenings and occasional weekends. My partner works a normal 9-5 so generally a dog would not be alone longer than 4-5 hours. We have a small/medium sized fenced-in backyard for play and potty breaks. I understand it can be anxiety inducing to leave your pup with a stranger, so I will communicate with daily updates/photos/videos to let you know how it's going. When pups are left alone I want them to be safe, especially being in a new space, so I will use a crate if that's something they are used to. I am fine with other arrangements too if you feel it is safe to do so.
“I’m super thankful for Hailey. I had something pop up at work. I was worried that I wasn’t going to be able to get home on time to let my dog out. She was available under a short notice. When I got home my dogs tail kept wagging. She kept looking at the door as if she was waiting for Haily to come back. I’m super happy with the service that Hailey provides.”

About: I’ve been fostering cats of all ages and personalities for 1 year! I have experience with potty training, oral medication and topical applications. I am a psych student and take pride in my ability to read each cat and listen to their needs :) I’m currently a college student. I am at home most evenings, and can spend time with your cat! I have the entire day available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I have a large individual room to my own, a cat tree, window planes that is a favourite for cats to watch birds on two sides, multiple litter boxes, hide-able nests and beds. WINDOWS ARE SEALED.

“Patrick was such a pleasure to work with!! He went above & beyond my expectations. He came & met us prior to the booking, so my dogs would be comfortable. He even took them for walks during the drop in visits. Lots of picture, videos & updates - which made us feel great!! We will be using him again in the future. Thank so much!!!”

“Olivia really helped us out with a last minute drop-in for our dog, Frida. Based on the lovely pictures, both our dog and our more sociable cat had a good ol’ time hanging out with Olivia and getting some quality pets. Our dog was happy when we got home, and we’ll definitely be reaching out again in the future for our pet care needs. Thanks for the solid assist, Olivia!”

“Nhan did a great with our cats, provided updates on their food and took great pictures. He also brought in our mail and helped with the internet at home. So grateful for him to be taking care of our cats. Would highly recommend.”

About: I have worked as a professional dog walker for 5 years. It is the best job ever. Dogs are adorable and hilarious, yes, but the part I really love is trying to understand the motivations behind each dog. I know, food and walks, duh! But since adopting my high-anxiety dog 6 years ago, I have realized there is so much more to the doggie brain. Dog park trips are like an anthropological study for me!! I like to think I'm the Jane Goodall of dogs; I'm flattered when they confuse me for one of their own. Living among the canines has come very naturally to me, and frequently worry about the diminishing appeal of the human world. My mother has legitimate concerns that I'll never find a husband. Some have called me a dog whisperer, to which I say "Have you ever met a dog that whispers?" You can think of me more like a translator. Booking with me helps fund my education so that I can one day save the world. My dream is to help troubled kids find the peace and compassion that I have found in my love for animals. I currently work from home and have open availability. If your dog cannot be left alone, they won't be. My own dog does not like to be separated from me, thus I'm comfortable arranging my life around the needs of dogs!! I use extreme care in assessing the environment to experience it the way your dog is, thus better understand behaviors and antecedent cues, and what is reinforcing the behavior.
“Jillian is great. Very attentive to my cats, followed my list of instructions to a T, and able to be flexible and intuitive when things didn't go as planned. I got daily updates and came home to happy cats =)”

We cannot recommend Mary highly enough! She has been helping us for quite some time, and she has been nothing short of amazing. Not only is she incredibly loving and caring with our puppy, Luna, but she is also extremely reliable, communicative, and trustworthy. We always have peace of mind knowing Luna is in such good hands. Mary consistently keeps us updated, genuinely cares about Luna's well-being, and goes above and beyond every time. We are so grateful to have found her and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.

McKenzie has been watching our pets for almost a year now, and she is the best! She continues to go above and beyond for our animals and truly does care. We’ve had many times where last minute visits are needed and she is great at accommodating. Thank you as always, McKenzie!

Fei was absolutely amazing. She was super flexible, incredibly friendly, and truly wonderful with our pups. From the moment she met them, it was clear she genuinely cares and knows how to make dogs feel comfortable, happy, and loved (even my grumpy old dog, Chance). Honestly… I almost don’t want to recommend her to anyone else because my dogs want her all to themselves 😅🐶 But if you’re lucky enough to book her, you’ll quickly see why we trust her completely. Couldn’t recommend her more.

Gabriela is awesome and I will absolutely work with her again the next time I need someone to watch my dog. She was truly amazing with my sensitive, older pup who needs regular medicine. My dog is often slow to trust others, but they had an immediate connection from their first meeting. I think because they connected quickly my dog was soon playing, snuggling, and eating well right away with her. I'm so grateful by how at ease I felt while I was on vacation, and when I returned everything was in order. Thank you for being so sweet, gentle, attentive to animals, coming through on your word, and being quick to respond! Five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
