About: I've taken care of my own dogs since I was around 14, and I dogsit a family friends big dogs. Having stubborn dogs has led me to have alot of patience and quick with reflexes. Gaining experience with bigger dogs that can be seen as aggressive or scary has helped me learn to be more calm and careful. Per care for me helps me also exercise too! I love going on walks with my dogs and it gives them proper outside time, instead of just putting them out back. I will ensure that I can be on alert for bathroom during the night, ensuring that they feel safe with me as well. Gaining trust is # 1.

I have over six years of experience loving and looking after both dogs and cats, and I share my home with Zed, my 6 year old Shiba Inu. I’ve cared for pups of all temperaments — Shiba Inu (not just mine!), golden retrievers, huskies, malamutes, terrier mixes, doodle mixes, and plenty of adorable “everything” mixes. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and needs, and I’m happy to follow your preferred pace and routine so your dog gets the walk they enjoy most, whether that’s slow and calm or faster and more adventurous. For drop ins, I’m more than happy to stay for cuddles, playtime, or just some company if your pet prefers a buddy around for a little bit. You’ll always get photo updates from me, so you know your fur babies are being loved on and cared for. I can’t wait to meet your pups and kitties! I work from home and my schedule is extremely flexible so I will always do my best to fit around your schedule and adapt to your pets routine, feed times, exercise needs etc. During walks, my attention is fully on your dog's safety (other dogs around, traffic, our environment), pace and generally ensuring they are enjoying their walk. For drop ins, I will follow your house keeping instructions exactly and keep your pets secure, making sure they are fed or given any medication on time, and ensure your house is locked up when I leave. For both services, always send you photos and let you know when I arrive and leave to give you peace of mind :)

About: Hello, I’m Jan! As the dog mom of two precious high energy dogs , I believe that a tired dog is a happy dog! ( & happy owner ) i would love to give your pup the perfect mix of exercise, mental stimulation, and affection while you are busy or away. If your dog is a high energy pup who loves a long walk & a game of fetch or a senior dog who prefers a gentle sniff and walk to explore the neighborhood, I am available to tailor every outing to their unique pace and personality. I am a NICU nurse who works long shifts and completely understands the trouble of leaving your dog alone for a while and would love to help others with that burden & dog parent guilt :-) I have a predictable work schedule up to 6 weeks in advance which makes it easy to work around other people’s schedule! I enjoy spending time outside ( even in the rainy season ) so I’m available pretty much all day on my days off from work! I personally have reactive dogs so safety is always my absolute priority. During walks I keep the dog on a secure, standard leash (no retractables for safety) and maintain full situational awareness of our surroundings. I never allow strange dogs to approach. For house visits, I double check that all doors and gates are securely locked when entering and leaving, and I always ensure your pet has fresh water and a safe space to relax before I depart. As a NICU nurse I am able to stay calm and act immediately In the rare event of an emergency My first step is to secure the pet to prevent further risk or injury. You will immediately be contacted as well as your preferred veterinarian. If it is a time sensitive issue, I will contact Rover's 24/7 Trust & Safety Support team for immediate backup and vet guidance while keeping you updated every step of the way.

About: I've had family pets since I was a child and gravitate towards dogs as an adult. I learned a lot about dog training as a puppy raiser for a service dog organization, in this role I fostered and trained a service puppy for a year! I love being in the outdoors and will often take dogs out on hikes or mountain bike rides. I work full-time, but only in the evenings and occasional weekends. My partner works a normal 9-5 so generally a dog would not be alone longer than 4-5 hours. We have a small/medium sized fenced-in backyard for play and potty breaks. I understand it can be anxiety inducing to leave your pup with a stranger, so I will communicate with daily updates/photos/videos to let you know how it's going. When pups are left alone I want them to be safe, especially being in a new space, so I will use a crate if that's something they are used to. I am fine with other arrangements too if you feel it is safe to do so.

About: I've been a pet care professional since 2016. It is the best job ever! Dogs are adorable and hilarious, yes, but the part I really love is trying to understand the motivations behind each dog. I know, food and walks, duh! But since adopting my high-anxiety dog 6 years ago, I have realized there is so much more to the doggie brain. Dog park trips are like an anthropological study for me!! I like to think I'm the Jane Goodall of dogs; I'm flattered when they confuse me for one of their own. I’ve taken care of cats and dogs ever since I was young. *For housesitting* I can stay there all day and return very early in the morning, but I won’t be able to sleep overnight. Friends and family have relied on me to walk and feed their pets. Personally, I’ve owned and taken care of my own dogs for many years and two rabbits. My two fur babies are a Samoyed and a Lab. They love going to the dog park and to play. There is a park nearby my place. I have a fenced yard where your dogs can run around safely and freely.
