“Kristen was literally perfect! I appreciate that she took the time to meet both my girls before the visits, and I knew they were going to be in the best hands. I will 100% be reaching out to her the next time I need someone to look after my girls!!”

“Shelli was able to fill my last minute request and I’m so grateful! She’s a great communicator and was patient and engaging with my shy dog. I would book with Shelli again!”

“Chelsea filled a very last minute invite to care for our sweet kitty. Our kitty warmed up to her so quickly and we had no doubt she would be in great hands. Chelsea is kind, reliable, consistent and we looked forward to her daily updates and pictures, which were always so fun to see.”

“Joshua was great. We met for a meet and greet before I left for vacation and Summer warmed up to him immediately. My neighbors also told me I had a very nice dog sitter while out of town. No complaints!”

About: I have owned and cared for dogs all my life, and been a trusted dog sitter and walker for friends, family, and neighbors, including dogs with extreme anxiety or reactivity. Since moving to Kent, I don't have a dog of my own and would love to spend some quality time with your pup! I am available all week (and holidays) to help however you and your furry family need me. I currently work fully remote with a flexible schedule, so I can be available virtually all week, day and night. If dog sitting at your house, I only request wifi access so I can get work done between dog walks, playtime and cuddles. I have a small fenced patio if your dog needs significant outside time, otherwise they are welcome to my entire townhome. I have a cat who is quiet and keeps to herself, and who can also be kept in her own separate room if needed. My neighborhood is great for walks with access to my gated community and nearby a long river trail. I have had dogs that are crate trained and those that roamed free at night, and can accommodate whichever your pup needs.
“I would 10/10 recommend Marcola to watch your babies! My boys were taken care of so well! I have 3 sphynx cats and they’re very high maintenance and she did a perfect job and even went above and beyond and vacuumed the litter off the floor around the kitchen and the litter boxes! She always sent me pics and vids so I could see my babies while I was gone too. She kept my boys full and happy while I was gone and I’m so grateful!!!”

“I have a diabetic cat who's afraid of everyone and requires insulin injections 2x a day. I have not been able to find anyone willing to take on this challenging situation, until I found Cassie on Rover. I swear she can walk on water and is a cat whisperer. She took the time to come and watch me do a glucose test and insulin injection before the first trip I've been able to take in 7 yrs , knowing she would take good care of Punkin. I was gone for 8 days and she came twice a day and Punkin didn't hide from her like she does with everyone but me. I could not recommend her highly enough and will definitely be planning longer trips, using Cassie without worrying my cat would suffer. If you want a sweet, reliable and caring cat sitter, you want Cassie on Rover.”

“John did a great job taking care of Cat while I was out of town. He sent me lots of pictures and several videos to show that Cat was having a nice vacation from his human. John kept me aware of Cat's litter box usage, which was reassuring because Cat's health is up and down. Cat was well cared-for and John watered my outdoor plants too.”

“Willa was super sweet and professional. She checked in on my kitties and sent photos every day. She was always quick to respond and helped me since this was my first time booking with Rover.”

About: I've spent my whole life surrounded by dogs and caring for them. With my own dog, I used to take her on runs which was always the best. If you have a high energy pooch, I'm your guy! I also have walked more mellow dog, so I can take it slow as well. Whatever energy level your pet is at, I'm ready to match it so they can have a great time! :) Right now I'm working part time and my schedule is very flexible! Weekdays are when I'm mainly free but I'm open to weekends as well. When walking dogs, I'm aware of the dogs body language so that they can have a fun time exercising without being stressed. With cats, I watch my movements as to not scare them.
“Dani watched our cats for the second time and did an excellent job taking care of them! We would recommend Dani's services to anyone looking for a caring, punctual, reliable, and kind sitter! Thanks you again!”

“Isabel is amazing! I’m a repeat client and have booked her several times for drop-in visits. My dog absolutely loves her, and I always know he’s in great hands. She sends detailed updates and lots of pictures after every visit, which gives me great peace of mind. She’s reliable, caring, and I highly recommend her!”

“Kimes is always so wonderful when it comes to cat sitting for us. She is responsive to messages, sends pictures, and lets us know if she notices anything or if the ordinary. We appreciate her time and care for our baby girl.”

I do have a fenced yard front and back, but not ready to board at my home.At this time. I walk my dogs at the grand view off.Leash dog park often or I can walk your pets on leashes

“Susan was fabulous. We did a meet and greet a coupe days prior to having her check in on our little pup-pup Griffey. She took care of him while we were away two long evenings in a row for our daughters wedding rehearsal, dinner, wedding and reception. We felt very comfortable having Susan check in, feed Griffey his dinner and play his favorite ball toss with him. Without hesitation we will ask Susan to take care of our Griffey and our daughters kitty cats in the future. Thank you Susan <3”

Shelby was an excellent pet sitter! She was very communicative throughout the entire time, keeping me updated and giving me peace of mind while I was away. I really appreciated how attentive and reliable she was, and it was clear my pet was well cared for. I would absolutely recommend Shelby to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and thoughtful to look after their pets.

Marcola was absolutely wonderful! She went above and beyond by offering multiple times to meet in person beforehand, which really showed her thoughtfulness and professionalism—even though my schedule didn’t allow it. It was clear from the start how much she genuinely loves and enjoys caring for animals. I felt completely comfortable trusting her with my three cats, even without meeting beforehand. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!

My dog, Chica, loves Jamal! Since Jamal has started visiting with Chica, she has been more relaxed and calm when I get home from work. Jamal is more than accommodating to schedules, mishaps, and anything that comes up. I’m so glad Chica has Jamal in her life, thanks so much man!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
