“Shelli was able to fill my last minute request and I’m so grateful! She’s a great communicator and was patient and engaging with my shy dog. I would book with Shelli again!”

“Ella was amazing! This was my first time using Rover, and the entire process was incredibly easy. I needed someone on short notice, and Ella was happy to help by spending time with Kya. She was very responsive, friendly, and kept me updated every day with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. Kya looked so happy! From the moment they met, she liked Ella right away, and it was clear she was comfortable with her. I would absolutely recommend Ella to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. On a side note—and don’t quote me on this—but I think she even watered my plants! I never asked her to, and I definitely wasn’t expecting it. If she did, that was such a thoughtful and appreciated surprise. Thank you Ella, you will definitely be my to go person for Kya’s care needs”

“John is so flexible and accommodating to my sometimes last-minute requests for cat-sitting. He sends lots of photos and a video so I can see that my cat is fine so it's one less thing I have to worry about.”

“5 stars again for Kizzie! I hire Kizzie every time I need to leave town because I am 100% confident that my cats are in good hands. The updates are good, the care is good, the communication is good, 10/10.”

“Alex was prompt, communicative and took great care of the babies. We got pictures, a nice thorough update and everyone seemed happy when we got home. They asked great questions upfront to understand how to take the best care of our animals. We look forward to rebooking!”

“Kaitlyn was amazing. Kaitlyn went above and beyond to make sure our dogs were safe, fed, watered, and respected our place completely. We can't express the bounds of our gratitude We feel for using Kaitlyn as our dogs sitter.”

“Jeannie was awesome! She came at nearly the exact time we agreed on, I got tons of pictures every day (really good ones I might add!) and when I came home I actually think my cat was disappointed! She kept waiting for me to play with her and I even think photograph her! ?. I am definitely going to use Jeannie in the future!”

“Xiaotong was absolutely fantastic! She gave us lots of photos and updates and was great about giving meds to one of the cats that needed it. We would 100% use her again in the future :)”

“We had to leave last minute for a family emergency and Ivana was super helpful, responsive, and easy going. She was able to accommodate a meet and greet prior to us leaving. She was understanding with schedule changes too. I would highly recommend Ivanna for your sitting needs.”

I'm reliable, attentive, and excited to get to know your furry family member. I can't wait to meet your best friend and become their new favorite walking buddy! I'll follow your pet's usual routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and at home. For drop-in visits or care in your home, I'll make sure your pet has everything they need during each visit. This includes feeding, fresh water, potty breaks or walks, playtime, lots of love and attention, and, of course, plenty of cuddles if they enjoy them. I'll also follow any specific instructions you provide and send updates so you know your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away.

Eileen communicated all steps in her visit, letting us know how the kitties were doing and complete with pictures! It is evident our kitties like Eileen since they posed very well. I will definitely request her services in the future when we require a reliable pet sitter.

Harley was fantastic! She asked all the right questions during our meet-and-greet, and even our shy cat seemed to warm up to her quickly. She arrived on time every morning, which our cats definitely appreciated, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. We’ll definitely be booking with Harley again the next time we leave town!

We cannot recommend Mary highly enough! She has been helping us for quite some time, and she has been nothing short of amazing. Not only is she incredibly loving and caring with our puppy, Luna, but she is also extremely reliable, communicative, and trustworthy. We always have peace of mind knowing Luna is in such good hands. Mary consistently keeps us updated, genuinely cares about Luna's well-being, and goes above and beyond every time. We are so grateful to have found her and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.

We had to leave last minute for a family emergency and Ivana was super helpful, responsive, and easy going. She was able to accommodate a meet and greet prior to us leaving. She was understanding with schedule changes too. I would highly recommend Ivanna for your sitting needs.

Brooke did a wonderful job taking care of our three kitties while we were on our trip. She sent pictures of them every day and left us notes with all of the things she did for them during her drop-ins. She was so sweet and caring and our kitties grew very fond of her. If we take another trip in the future, I will be sure to hire her again, the peace of mind that she allowed us to have while being away was priceless ❤️

Kaitlyn did a great job checking on our kitties while my husband and I were out of town. She has excellent communication skills and made sure to keep us updated throughout each visit. One of our cats is somewhat standoffish, so it's important to us that any visitors or sitters respect his personal space, which is exactly what Kaitlyn did. We look forward to re-booking with Kaitlyn for our upcoming travels. Thank you, Kaitlyn!

I had a super busy week at work and i booked Envee to drop in, in the afternoon in addition to her usual walks. It has been such a load of my mind knowing Akira was cared for & fed whilst I was away for a more extended period. I come home to a happy & calm pup. Envee is super punctual & follows all instructions to the T! So grateful for her help!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
