“Brooklin was a pleasure to work with. She came to the house for a meetup to get to know each other and the dogs. She is courteous, professional and demonstrated much experience with dogs. She arrived promptly for the drop in and did everything we had discussed days earlier. She also spent some time playing with our dogs and giving them some extra attention. I would not hesitate to call on Brooklin again to look after our dogs.”

“Xiaotong was absolutely fantastic! She gave us lots of photos and updates and was great about giving meds to one of the cats that needed it. We would 100% use her again in the future :)”

“John shared plenty of photos of our dog, Finley, showing that he was well cared for and happy. He showed up exactly on time and stayed for the duration requested. We will be using John again and I would recommend him to my friends.”

I will gladly make free time any of those days to care for your pets I own a King Charles Cavalier dog named Kitty who is crate/potty trained and is very well socialized and open to meeting any new people or pets
“Kizzie was amazing with our cat for the week that we were out of town. Very responsible, communicative, and sincerely caring for your pet. Detailed updates every day.”

About: I have had many different animals over my lifetime. I have puppy sat for many of my friends and family. I have helped train animals as well. I work from home so I am able to stop to take your little one on a walk or snuggles. My week is very flexible. I’ve owned and cared for animals for many years and truly enjoy being around them. Over time, I’ve learned how important patience, attention, and affection are when it comes to keeping pets happy and comfortable. Whether it’s going for walks, playtime, or simply providing companionship, I treat every animal with the same care I would give my own. I would love the opportunity to look after your pet and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I’ve been fostering cats of all ages and personalities for 1 year! I have experience with potty training, oral medication and topical applications. I am a psych student and take pride in my ability to read each cat and listen to their needs :) I’m currently a college student. I am at home most evenings, and can spend time with your cat! I have the entire day available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I have a large individual room to my own, a cat tree, window planes that is a favourite for cats to watch birds on two sides, multiple litter boxes, hide-able nests and beds. WINDOWS ARE SEALED.
About: I have experience with big dogs, medium dogs, and small dogs. I take great care in updating my clients on what’s happening with their pets. I’m working as a substitute Paraeducator so my days can be flexible depending on circumstances. I’ve stayed overnight in peoples houses looking after their pets while also staying at their place all day I always ask clients when I visit where and when pets are allowed in certain parts of the house and yard. I want to make sure they’re as comfortable as possible.
“I had to take a last minute trip, and Laura saved me! She did a great job, went above and beyond, and I’m very lucky to have been able to book with her. Thanks so much Laura!”

“Alex was prompt, communicative and took great care of the babies. We got pictures, a nice thorough update and everyone seemed happy when we got home. They asked great questions upfront to understand how to take the best care of our animals. We look forward to rebooking!”

About: I grew up always having a dog(s), and started walking friends and families dogs when I was around 8 years old. I have experience handling dogs of various sizes (2lb - 140lb) and ages (0-15). I’ve also trained two dogs starting when they were 4 months: one was a pitbull and the other a plott hound. I am currently home from college, so my schedule is very flexible! I’m available mornings, midday and evenings, 7 days a week for your doggos! At home I have a 4 year old plott hound that has access to a fenced in yard and three walks a day. My cat gets free roam of the house (of course).
“Jeannie is wonderful! Communication was extremely fast and consistent both before and during the drop-in visits. Couldn’t have left our dog in better hands while we were away.”

“Shelli was able to fill my last minute request and I’m so grateful! She’s a great communicator and was patient and engaging with my shy dog. I would book with Shelli again!”

“Vanessa is punctual and highly reliable. She offers clear and consistent communication, which gives us tremendous piece of mind. We look forward to her regular visit summaries and crack up at the many photos she takes of our cats. Despite the fact that our cats have definite personalities and can give anyone a hard time, Vanessa has never been phased and has always responded their sass with patience and good humor. She’s the main reason we feel like we can take trips, even though we have 3 Covid kitties!”

“We had to leave last minute for a family emergency and Ivana was super helpful, responsive, and easy going. She was able to accommodate a meet and greet prior to us leaving. She was understanding with schedule changes too. I would highly recommend Ivanna for your sitting needs.”

About: I’ve taken care of my neighbors cats when she goes on vacation- I volunteer consistently at Regional Animal Services of King County, I also have been involved in animal rescue for about 16 years now. I volunteer for Feral Cat Assistance and Trapping and South County Cats. I also foster animals from the animal shelter. I also have my own animals who are well loved and cared for! 😊 I have open availability at this time as my schedule is not a set schedule with my rescue work. I am happy to set my schedule according to the client’s needs. I usually will care for client’s animals in their home since I have cats of my own. But I do have an area for my fosters in my home. I’ll usually go over to a clients home to check on the animals and tend to them and come back as often as needed depending on what the client asks for.

Brooke did a wonderful job taking care of our three kitties while we were on our trip. She sent pictures of them every day and left us notes with all of the things she did for them during her drop-ins. She was so sweet and caring and our kitties grew very fond of her. If we take another trip in the future, I will be sure to hire her again, the peace of mind that she allowed us to have while being away was priceless ❤️

Kaitlyn did a great job checking on our kitties while my husband and I were out of town. She has excellent communication skills and made sure to keep us updated throughout each visit. One of our cats is somewhat standoffish, so it's important to us that any visitors or sitters respect his personal space, which is exactly what Kaitlyn did. We look forward to re-booking with Kaitlyn for our upcoming travels. Thank you, Kaitlyn!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in SeaTac. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
