“First time leaving my senior dog alone for a week. We decided to try a sitter on Rover, and we are happy with our dog and with the care that Jessie V. put into caring for Sammi, and for the house. At 15 years old, Sammi has messes, and I am grateful for Jessie's care in caring for Sammi, and for the condition of the carpet and floors. When we saw Sammi after being away for a week, he seemed happy, well-fed, and the room smelled clean. Thanks, Jessie!”

“Alice was terrific keeping an eye on our cat while we were out of town. We had to book her last minute after another rover cancelled, but Alice saved our butts by quickly making arrangements with us. Our cat can be a little scared of new people, but she warmed up to Alice right away. We would definitely book her again.”

“Vanessa is a great sitter! Very reliable, caring, and communicative. Our cat was well taken care of and happy when we returned. Would definitely recommend!”

“Words cannot fully express how grateful I am to Jiru for the incredible care she gave to my cat, Doya, while I was away. Leaving Doya for over two weeks was a huge emotional challenge for me, cause she has never before being apart for such a long time. But Jiru’s unwavering dedication and loving attention gave me peace of mind every single day! I asked her to check in on Doya every two days, and she made it with such care, ensuring her food and water were just right, keeping an eye on her litter box, and most importantly, monitoring Doya’s mood and well-being. It was clear that Jiru treated Doya like her own, and her gentle, compassionate presence helped my cat stay calm, healthy, and comforted throughout my absence. I am so deeply thankful to Jiru for her kindness and for making this difficult time so much easier on both of us. Thanks to her, I returned to find my beloved Doya happy and safe, and that means more to me than words can express.”

“Zoe is responsive, kind, observant and thoughtful. She took care of Mako, our two-year-old cat, for a week when me and my husband were out of town. While a young and healthy cat, Mako has special needs other than food, water and litter box — he needs plenty of attention and EFFECTIVE play time. Zoe took time and patience to observe and learn Mako’s likes and dislikes in playing with wand toys, tunnels, etc. She also reads cats’ languages well and builds trust with them quickly. She always fully utilizes the 30-min visits. She goes beyond finishing the basic work to communicate with us and offer play time with Mako, who was never bored for a second during her visits. Zoe even walked with Mako in our apartment building hallway to provide him with larger space for patrolling (that is per our request — I believe Zoe will follow the instruction perfectly well if you required that your cats stay strictly indoors — the fact that a cat would walk with her shows how well she builds trust with it). We look forward to working with Zoe again in the future!”

“We enjoyed having Teresa take care of our two kitties…we found them happy and well fed when we returned home. Thank you for taking such good care of our kitties.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since 12 years old when got my first dog. Very quickly dog owners started trusting me with walking their dogs as well and pet sitting them while owners are away. I have experience of dog sitting from 1 to 12 dogs in a household. For now I work full time, but I am in the process of transitioning to part time. I will be happy to assist over the weekend and visit your pets during business days after work. I always supervise pets during visits or walks, ensure doors and leashes are secure, and prioritize their comfort and safety in any setting
“Our two cats really liked Agata! She played with them every day, fed them and cleaned up their accidents while we were on vacation and took very good care of them. Agata was also very communicative and fast to respond.”

“Xiaoxiao was fantastic! She was incredibly attentive and responsible with the drop-in visits. Her communication was excellent—she was proactive in keeping me updated and always replied quickly. She was so friendly to my cats, and I could tell that our cats really liked her too. I highly recommend her!”

“Junbo was reliable, professional, and very attentive while taking care of my cat. She clearly paid close attention to my cat’s needs and even noticed that her nails needed trimming, which she kindly took care of. I really appreciated the extra care and thoughtfulness she showed. It gave me peace of mind knowing my cat was in good hands. I would definitely recommend Junbo to anyone looking for a trustworthy and responsible pet sitter.”

“Martina went above and beyond to take care of my dog while I was out of town for work. This included belly rubs, snuggles, play time, and walks. It really felt that Martina treated him as if he was her own. She stuck to the agreed schedule and made sure he was happy. If another opportunity presents itself, I will be reaching back out.”

“Jackie is amazing! She was dependable, detail-oriented, and easy to work with during her first week with our pup. She uses good judgment and provides the relief and assurance a new puppy mommy needs! She sent detailed updates throughout her days with Mr. Mustard and somehow managed to take perfect pictures of him, even though he is often camera shy. :) We've booked her for an upcoming stay and look forward to working with her in the future. Thanks, Jackie!”

“Chase was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! She was very thorough with making sure that our 2 cats were not only fed, but entertained and loved while we were away. We received daily reports along with pictures. Chase made us feel very secure that our home and our babies were in good hands. I will be recommending Chase to all of my friends in the area when they need a pet sitter! Our girl Cinder is already missing Chase, and our boy Arthur at least came out for a showing when he normally runs and hides. THANK YOU CHASE!!!”
“We booked with Mik a little last minute a week before our two week international trip when our initial sitter was a no show for a meet and greet, and we are so glad we did! Mik was professional, and excellent communicator, and was very flexible working together with a family member who was also caring for our pets; especially when new challenges came up (our cat was hospitalized the weekend before we left for a urinary blockage). She was awesome at interacting with our pets at the level they were comfortable with, and I could tell that they became buds by the end of our trip! ☺️ We also appreciated all of the pictures and details we were given during her home visits, as well as how Mik put in the effort to provide engagement and stimulation for our pets on a variety of ways. I would definitely recommend booking with her, and we hope to do so again in the future!”

I seriously couldn't have asked for a better cat sitter. She played with her, gave her so much love and attention-to the point where my cat prefers to play with her-, stayed with her for many hours, and made sure she wasn't lonely while I was away. I was completely off grid for over a week but Jade still sent me updates and pictures and it was so obvious how much my cat loved her; she even allowed belly rubs and that’s rare! Honestly, I think my cat had more fun on her vacation than I did on mine. Coming home to a happy, relaxed cat instead of a stressed one meant everything to me. She went so far above and beyond what I expected, and it gave me complete peace of mind while I was traveling. I would trust her with my cat again in a heartbeat and couldn't recommend her more!

Heather, thank you SO MUCH for watching my sweet senior girl, Stellar, and on such short notice!! Between the various medications and her bathroom behavior, she is a very needy cat and you handled it all with aplomb! She was so happy and healthy when I got back just now, and I know it’s because you took such great care of her. 5 stars is not enough for how good of a sitter you are!
Sanuthi is incredible and very reliable. We have two finicky 12 year old cats and any changes stress out Simba. She was very patient, willing to meet him within his comfort level. She kept in contact through the visits, letting me know of any issues she was seeing, willing to change the plan on the fly. Kitties were in good hands and I am so very grateful for Sanuthi!

Our first time using Jennifer to check on our two boys. She was perfect! Great at communicating, always brought in packages, kept things clean, and the boys warmed up to her pretty quickly. And our request was pretty last minute so we're very grateful for her.

When we booked our latest trip, it was a no-brainer to have Zoe come back to check on our Frankie while we were away! Loved being a repeat customer of Zoe’s - she takes such good care of our kitty, and my favorite is all the incredible photos we get with every check in!

Emily has this deep love toward the animals. That never changes. She understands the special needs some dogs do, like my dogs. She also goes above and beyond to support me and my dogs during challenging times. We are always grateful and feel lucky to have her in our life

We are so thrilled to have found Morgan for out two cats. Our cats are very skittish but took to Morgan right away. She plays with them and sends pics/videos of them for us. She is very easy to communicate with. We will definitely be using her whenever we need to be gone. Highly recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
