“Teresa was wonderful! She took my dog on a wonderful walk and provided a very appreciated detailed report back. She also brought in a package that was left at my door. I will be using her again!”

“Our 2-Year-old retriever found his new bestie!!! Marcea was amazing from our first meet and greet to Rip's walk and ball throwing adventures. Could not have asked for a sweeter, more caring Rover! Thank you so much Marcea. Rip already misses you...”

“Hailee did a great job managing my older, reactive/anxious dog as well as my very excitable puppy! I would definitely recommend her—she followed my detailed instructions carefully and was very patient with both dogs, who each have somewhat complicated needs.”

“Lori was great and was so sweet with Baobao. We really appreciated her coming for a meet and greet so everyone was comfortable with the situation. Baobao was clearly comfortable with her”

“Very communicative and punctual. Flexible timing wise as well if needed! Very much recommended, our dog loves walks with them and they are very considerate in general!”

About: Pets have been my life ever since I was five years old. I wasn't a caretaker at that age, but I've fostered a close connection and understanding towards pets ever since. As I got older, my responsibilities grew in kind, and I became much more involved in the day-to-day care of dogs and cats. I've been fortunate to be a part of six dogs lives, and each have brought different temperaments, attitudes, and energy levels. Four of the six were rescues, so I understand the patience and attentiveness needed to properly address their needs and quirks. I also helped raise a 10 week old puppy into adulthood, so I am very familiar with what it takes to handle the stubbornness and energy of a young pup. While it's been some time since my cat has passed away, I likewise share a similar understanding to their needs and socialization. It requires a different approach than a dog but I am happy to adapt to the pet at hand and ensure they receive the best care possible. I have returned from a term of service abroad in the Peace Corps, and am currently searching for employment as I settle back in the states. I will be living in Washington for the time being before I set off to grad school. As such, my schedule is fairly open for dog walking and check-ins. Some of my fondest memories abroad was walking around the countryside in my spare time, so I'm excited to continue that here with some new friends! I will ensure that the pets' needs are addressed in full with the client before I take on the service, and adhere to the directions advised. I cannot currently board pets at my home, but I am happy to check in on pets whilst abiding by the rules of my client's homes.

About: I have fostered dogs and cats on and off for 15 years. The last 6 years have been through R.A.S.K. I have fostered and owned all types of dogs. Don't worry if your dog has super high energy or if your puppy chews on everything. Im prepared and have plenty of experience. I'm a stay at home mom so im home all day. I do same day bookings and am flexible if you have last min changes. I have two 18 month old Lab/Husky mixes. They are 90lbs. My puppies are super friendly and very active. My house is perfect for dogs that need to burn up some energy. My son has made a ball pit for the dogs and on warmer days i fill the ball pit with water. I also have a small plastic pool for pups to play in. Dogs have access to fully fenced yard with use of dog door. They are able to come and go as they please. I do close the dog door at night. I installed anti dig guards around my fence to prevent pups from trying to dig under. My house has central air conditioning as well as portable ac units if needed. I have a live camera in the back yard. You will have 24/7 access to camera. There is an option to veiw past recored events for that day. I have motion activated lighting throughout the back yard. Pet waste is removed from yard multiple times a day. I don't use crates or kennels. If your pup feels more comfortable being crated at night you would need to bring their kennel from home. Otherwise i let the dogs sleep where they want. I have plenty of dog beds for them. Most of the time i end up with all the dogs on my king size bed. My cat is dog friendly and is an indoor/outdoor cat.

About: Hello! My name is Annie and I’ve grown up with dogs and loved them my entire life! I may be newer to the platform, but I have been the go-to dog sitter and walker for my friends and neighbors. I am comfortable with many different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I am a teacher so I am currently most flexible in the summers! I love spending time outside and enjoy finding new and beautiful trails and paths. I will care for your dog in their safe, familiar home environment and maintain care of the property in addition to caring for the pup! I will always keep the dog securely leashed on walks.
About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for more than 30 years, and I truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets and your home. I’m an experienced dog owner that has managed two doggie day cares, and I treat every dog in my care like I would want someone to treat my own. I know that every dog has a different personality, routine and comfort level, so I take the time to learn what makes your dog happiest—whether that means an energetic walk, lots of playtime, belly rubs, quiet companionship or simply keeping their normal routine consistent while you’re away. Reliability is extremely important to me. When I commit to caring for your dog, you can count on me to show up, follow your instructions and keep you updated so you don't have to wonder how things are going. I especially enjoy building ongoing relationships with dogs and their families, so recurring walks and drop-in clients are always welcome! Some dogs want to power walk and explore while others would happily spend half the walk investigating one particularly fascinating bush! I'll match the walk to your dog's age, personality and energy level while making sure they have a safe and enjoyable outing. ◇30-minute and 60-minute walks available.◇ 🐾🐾Drop-In Visits🐾🐾 Drop-ins are perfect for dogs who are happiest staying in their own home. During visits I can provide potty breaks, walks, feeding, fresh water, medication according to your instructions, playtime and plenty of attention. I'll also send you an update and photos so you can see how your pup is doing. ◇30-minute and 60-minute visits available.◇ 🐾🐾Overnight House Sitting🐾🐾 Going away shouldn't mean your dog has to give up the comfort of home. With overnight house sitting, I'll stay with your dog in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routine as closely as possible—including meals, walks, potty breaks, playtime, bedtime routines and lots of companionship. I understand that trusting someone inside your home is a big decision, so I take that responsibility seriously and will treat both your pets and your home with respect. 🐾🐾Meet & Greet🐾🐾 I offer a complimentary meet & greet before the first booking whenever possible. It gives your dog a chance to meet me while you're there, allows you to show me their routine, and gives us time to discuss feeding, walks, behaviors, medications, favorite toys, quirks and anything else you'd like me to know. My goal is for both you and your dog to feel completely comfortable before the first visit. 🐾My Favorite Kind of Client🐾 I love working with pet parents who consider their dogs members of the family. Whether you need an occasional sitter, someone you can rely on every week, or simply a trustworthy person to give your dog some attention while you're at work, I'd love to meet you and your pup. ❤️🐶Serving Bellevue and nearby Eastside neighborhoods. 🐶❤️ I am open ALL WEEK, any hours to provide for your pup while you are busy during the week or away on vacation. I would love to get your furbaby the individualized love and attention they deserve. Going away shouldn't mean your dog has to give up the comfort of home. “Heather was great! She has years of experience dealing with all types of dogs and that was evident when she walked my dog - who has more personality and quirks than you can shake a chuck-it stick at. I knew Heather was the right choice when my dog gave her tail wags and brought her a toy on their first at home visit. Generally he takes a while to warm up to people. Heather is responsive and punctual. I’d definitely hire her again!”

“Allexis is the best dog walker I've ever had! She is so communicative, kind, caring and flexible. My dog has struggled with some big life changes and transitions we've been going through and Allexis has been patient and loving with her. I've seen a huge difference in my dog's demeanor since Allexis and I've so grateful!”

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! Jade goes above and beyond. During our meet and greet she spent time to make sure she really understood our care and walk routine for Fitz, who is still a puppy. She was more than willing to learn the training we are doing with him to help him improve his leash walking and impulse control. On walk day, she spent extra time with Fitz to ensure he was calm before and after his walk, she followed the care instructions and training to a T, and left very detailed notes sharing how the entire visit went.

We did a trial meet-and-greet walk with Pauline and her dog, Comet, for our German Shepherd (Korben) and Husky mix (Deckard). Pauline was fantastic. Our Husky can be a bit selective and leash-reactive, but she handled him with total confidence and ease on our neighborhood walk. She has great instincts with dog dynamics, remained completely unfazed by typical introduction behaviors, and our senior GSD took to her immediately. It’s a huge relief to find a local sitter who understands large breeds and active dogs so well. Highly recommend!
I hired Sharin because I'm recovering from surgery, and like me Ollie had cabin fever and needed to get out, yet I was in no condition to be walking. Sharin arrived on time and I had Ollie ready to go in his harness. He was really excited to meet her and she was so sweet to him. He's a dachshund so he can bark quite a bit, but he seemed to be relaxed when they left, which made me feel at ease. After the walk, Ollie watched her leave. I definitely would want Sharin to walk Ollie when needed.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
