About: We have been caring for dogs for many years. Starting from puppies to full grown dogs over the years and know how to understand what a dog needs for a healthy, happy, and full life. Aharon works from home most of the time. With just one dog at home it would be easy to add another. It’s easy to add another to the pack! We take our dogs outside for exercise twice a day and have play sessions in between. We have 1200 sqft of interior space for the dogs to play and chill with a fenced backyard. There’s also a dog park almost right in our backyard where we go to all the time. The area is residential and lots of families around that know us.

About: I currently have two high energy pitbulls of my own, so I’m very comfortable handling strong, active dogs and keeping them mentally and physically engaged. I’m patient, attentive, and experienced with different temperaments, along with playful puppies or senior dogs. I treat every pet like my own and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and routine that you have set for your dog. I do also have experience with bite work when it comes to protection line and high energy breeds. Since I’m currently between jobs, I have a flexible, open schedule and can dedicate my full attention to your pet. I’m available 7 days a week, mornings through evenings, making me a great option for last-minute bookings or dogs that need extra company and care throughout the day. Your pet’s safety is my number one priority. My home is fenced in and safe, and I’m here all day so your dog will never be left alone for long. I follow each owner’s routines closely, send regular photo updates, and will reach out immediately if anything comes up.

Hailee did a great job managing my older, reactive/anxious dog as well as my very excitable puppy! I would definitely recommend her—she followed my detailed instructions carefully and was very patient with both dogs, who each have somewhat complicated needs.

About: Hi! I’m Zhujing, a dependable and caring pet lover who truly enjoys spending time with animals. I know pets are family, and my goal is always to make them feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits. I’m currently in school, schedule is very flexible. During our time together, your pet will get plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and cuddles (if they enjoy them!). I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine with feeding, walks, medications if needed, and any special instructions you have. My priority is making sure your pet feels comfortable and stress-free. I had a dog for 11 years, and she just passed away. Helping caring for your dogs, also helping myself go through the loss of my pup. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing with toys, or just relaxing with some company, I’ll make sure they get the care and attention they deserve. I’m patient, gentle, and always attentive to a pet’s needs and body language. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to spend quality time with your pet and not rush visits. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident that your furry friend is doing great. I treat every pet like they’re my own and always aim to provide reliable, loving care. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pet! 🐾 I’m an active duty service member but currently in school until May 2026. I have a lot of free time and my schedule is very flexible so would like to help people look after their fur babies when they need. I’m available during the weekdays and weekends until 4/30/2026. I live in an apartment, sorry I can’t have the pets in my apartment. But I’m happy to care for your pets in the client’s place.

About: I've had cats and dogs most of my life and love spending time with them. I currently share my home with two cats and love running and hiking with my "grand-dog". I'm currently working as a paraprofessional in an elementary school, allowing me plenty of time before and after our late starts and early releases. This also gives me lots of opportunities to sit during the summer and during school vacations. When visiting your pet, you can expect me to be accountable, respectful and caring, putting your pets needs first and foremost. Earning an owner and pets trust is very important to me.

My first time using rover and Olivia was wonderful with our elderly puggle! She walked Snugs for three days while I was traveling and my husband had to be at his office. Olivia was reliable, trustworthy, and even fed Snugs (upon request) on the day he was going to be home past her dinnertime. We’ll use Olivia again!

Heather was great! She has years of experience dealing with all types of dogs and that was evident when she walked my dog - who has more personality and quirks than you can shake a chuck-it stick at. I knew Heather was the right choice when my dog gave her tail wags and brought her a toy on their first at home visit. Generally he takes a while to warm up to people. Heather is responsive and punctual. I’d definitely hire her again!

About: I have experience caring for friends' dogs, as well my previous Retriever mix Lucky. I had her for 13 years from her energetic puppy years to a senior who needed a lot of attention and medication. My home is missing a set of paws walking around it now and I have a very flexible schedule until I leave for a new job in August. I look forward to getting in touch! I am currently in between jobs and have plenty of free time for your pups! In a typical week I will only leave the house for a few hours at a time for a couple reoccurring appointments on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday. My home has a fenced yard with plenty of room to run around and play. There is a lot of open space in my home and air conditioning to keep everyone cool. I enjoy varying levels of activity from going on runs or walks, to chilling on the couch.

About: "My experience with dogs comes from babysitting families who also had pets. While caring for the children, I would take the dogs on walks, feed them, play with them, and make sure they received plenty of attention and care. This experience taught me how to balance the needs of both children and pets while creating a safe, fun, and loving environment." "Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I have a very flexible schedule. As a college student, I am available during weekdays, evenings, and weekends, and I enjoy spending time with animals. I can adjust my schedule to meet a pet's needs, whether that includes walks, feeding, playtime, or companionship." "I treat every pet like my own. I make sure they are fed, have fresh water, get exercise, playtime, and lots of attention. I follow the owner's instructions closely and do my best to keep pets comfortable and on their regular routine. I'm patient, reliable, and love spending time with animals."

We did a trial meet-and-greet walk with Pauline and her dog, Comet, for our German Shepherd (Korben) and Husky mix (Deckard). Pauline was fantastic. Our Husky can be a bit selective and leash-reactive, but she handled him with total confidence and ease on our neighborhood walk. She has great instincts with dog dynamics, remained completely unfazed by typical introduction behaviors, and our senior GSD took to her immediately. It’s a huge relief to find a local sitter who understands large breeds and active dogs so well. Highly recommend!

  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
