“Natalia went above and beyond caring for my pets and home! We actually planned our 9 day vacation around her availability we love her so much! We have 2 beagles (1 is reactive) and 1 cat. All of our pets love her and she does well handling our reactive dog! Since this trip was extra long her husband and dog stayed a few nights too and my reactive dog liked her dog a lot! A couple days before our trip, our cat had some unexpected health issues and we had to give her 2 different meds, multiple times a day and different administering methods the entire time we were away but Natalia but put our minds at ease and was up for the challenge and kept us in the loop with how our cat was doing. She truly cares about the pets she sits as if they were her own! She always sends updates with photos/videos and leaves the house cleaner than when we left. We plan to move away this summer so this is likely the last time she will be sitting for us and I almost don't want to move so we can keep her as our sitter! We will miss her so much! If you are a 'type A' pet parent like myself and have a hard time leaving your fur babies then you will not regret booking with Natalia!”

“Janine did a great job watching our two dogs. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about them. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands, and they were happy and well cared for when we got back. We’d definitely trust Janine to watch them again and highly recommend her.”

“Samantha made my pups feel so comfortable. Even after I’m back they go to check her room to see if she’s around. Makes me feel confident they are happy and well loved while I’m away.”

“Kaitlin was wonderful! She stayed in our home with our two pups for a night while we took a family trip to Portland! She was timely, tidy, and most of all caring of both dogs, one of whom is old and requires some additional assistance. She even helped keep our Elf on the Shelf moving so when we came home she was in a different place! ? Our fur babies and kiddo were all happy when we arrived home and all went smoothly! Best peace of mind a mama could ask for!!”

“Elizabeth was fantastic for our holiday trip! She was incredibly communicative and offered a level of care for our anxious pup that has been unmatched by others. Highly recommend!!”

“Jennefer house-sat our 3 month old puppy for an evening while we were out for an appointment. She was very attentative and respectful of our puppy's needs which are very specific with her being so young and not fully house trained. Our puppy took a liking to her immediately and spent the whole time either playing with her or napping on the couch with her head on Jennefer's lap. The constant photo and video updates gave us plenty of reassurance and peace of mind.”

“Stephanie is so great with our dogs. She knows their different personalities. Kept them entertained with nose work toys! Our house and pets are well cared for by her!”
“Shalindra was absolutely wonderful with our pup, Kahlua, while we were away. She went above and beyond in every way, even accommodating a last-minute flight delay and staying later than planned on her birthday to make sure Kahlua was cared for. We loved receiving daily updates and photos, and it was clear Kahlua had a great time with all of the park adventures and extra attention. When we returned, Kahlua was happy, freshly bathed, and our home was spotless. Shalindra was incredibly respectful of our house and treated both our dog and our home with so much care. We felt completely at ease knowing Kahlua was in such capable hands and would gladly trust Shalindra again in the future. Highly recommend!”

“My girls really loved their week with Evelyn. Azura tried to go home with them when we got home. Evelyn was very respectful of our house and kept the place clean and tidy during their stay. We will definitely book with Evelyn again, thank you so much!”

“She was great! We have 3 big dogs and she knew how to interact with them, even our more difficult to handle one. She sent pictures and kept us up-to-date which was so nice.”

“Jen is amazing. She took great care of our dogs. Calming one down when I balloon landed in the back yard! She followed our instructions to the letter and even brought in our trash/recycling containers without being asked. She communicates and sends updates and pics, which we REALLY appreciate! We can enjoy our trips knowing Jen is with them!!!”

“Maurice did a great job for our family’s week long vacation out of state. She handled the quirks of our household and our Great Dane dog with ease. We would have zero hesitation about using her again for a future trip.”

“Malia was great with Maverick. She was responsive and sent lots of pictures. Our pup needs medication at specific times and she was very on top of all his needs the entire time. Thanks for watching our home and pup while we were gone Malia!”

“Mikayla provided our dachshund Otis with excellent care while we were gone for almost 2 weeks. We received regular updates and pictures of him throughout our trip and were really impressed with Mikayla's communication throughout. We would absolutely book again and recommend Mikayla to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“Junbo stayed overnight in my home for multiple nights and took wonderful care of my dogs. She sent lots of updates, photos, and videos, and it was clear from every one how happy, comfortable, and well loved they were. I really appreciated her communication and the peace of mind she gave me while I was away. My dogs were relaxed, content, and clearly well cared for — which matters most. I would absolutely book Junbo again and recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, attentive sitter. 🐾💛”

About: 🐾 What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, along with my hands-on experience in training, grooming, and behavior management. Growing up, I helped care for a Schipperke and later two Chihuahuas, where I developed a love for daily walks, grooming, and building strong relationships with dogs. As I got older, I wanted to expand my experience and raise a high-energy working breed, which led me to my Australian Shepherd, Bailey. 🐶 Since bringing Bailey home as a puppy 7 years ago, I’ve participated in obedience training, at-home training, 4-H, showing, herding, and swimming activities. I also learned how to groom her myself and developed a strong understanding of canine body language and behavior. Through raising her from puppyhood to adulthood, I learned how to recognize what dogs are communicating through their actions, energy levels, and routines. ❤️ I later welcomed a second Australian Shepherd, Willow, who has a completely different personality. She’s vocal, energetic, and more sensitive to certain environments, which taught me that every dog has unique needs and triggers. This experience helped me become adaptable and attentive to each dog’s individual personality. 🎓 In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve helped owners work on puppy house manners, basic obedience, and simple tricks. I’ve cared for dogs ranging from small companion breeds to larger breeds such as Labradors and German Shepherd mixes. ✨ Whether your dog needs an energetic walking partner, a patient sitter, reinforcement of good manners, or simply someone who understands their unique personality, I strive to provide care that makes them feel safe, understood, and loved. Pet care is already a major part of my daily and weekly routine. As the owner of two Australian Shepherds and a young cat, I’m used to planning my schedule around feeding times, exercise, playtime, grooming, and providing companionship. 🐶 My dogs receive daily walks and enrichment activities, and I regularly brush and groom them to keep them comfortable and healthy. My cat also gets dedicated playtime and attention throughout the day. Caring for pets isn’t something I fit in when I have spare time—it’s already an important part of my lifestyle. Because I’m accustomed to caring for animals with different personalities and energy levels, adding pet sitting, drop-in visits, or walks fits naturally into my routine. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means going on a long walk, playing fetch, providing enrichment, or simply keeping a pet company while their owner is away. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I do my best to maintain their normal routines and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether I’m caring for pets in my own home or a client’s home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I start by learning about each pet’s schedule, personality, preferences, and any special instructions. I want to know things like feeding routines, exercise needs, favorite activities, medications, areas they are allowed in, and any behaviors or triggers I should be aware of. For dogs, I provide walks, playtime, potty breaks, enrichment, and plenty of companionship. I’m experienced with both high-energy dogs, like my Australian Shepherds, and more laid-back dogs who prefer a slower pace. I also reinforce house manners and any training routines owners are already working on. For cats, I make sure they have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, playtime, and attention based on their comfort level. As a cat owner myself, I understand that some cats love to socialize while others prefer their space, and I adjust my care accordingly. I also pay close attention to a pet’s behavior and body language. After raising dogs and cats with very different personalities, I’ve learned how important it is to recognize when a pet is excited, nervous, tired, overstimulated, or simply wants affection. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own by providing a safe environment, consistent care, lots of love, and regular updates to owners so they can feel confident while they’re away.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Coalfield
We have used Katelin before and were delighted that she could come back. She is super prompt with communication and very kind. She adjusted her time when our travel plans had a shift and also help set up up the house for an additional sitter to come--which is more than I expected. Very sweet and gentle with the pets, gave our girls two walks a day. We will gladly use Katelin again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Coalfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Coalfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coalfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
