“Natalia is always great with a household of 3 pets. She caters to each individual’s needs and befriends everyone! She is super great with taking care of the space and brings in any boxes and mail for us while we are away. We get regular updates with videos and photos of our pets and we couldn’t be happier to have her help us!”

“Grace took great care of Astro and our house. She kept us up to date on how he was doing and was very responsive to our communications. We would definitely have her watch Astro again.”

“Janine did a great job watching our two dogs. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about them. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands, and they were happy and well cared for when we got back. We’d definitely trust Janine to watch them again and highly recommend her.”

“Kaitlin was wonderful! She stayed in our home with our two pups for a night while we took a family trip to Portland! She was timely, tidy, and most of all caring of both dogs, one of whom is old and requires some additional assistance. She even helped keep our Elf on the Shelf moving so when we came home she was in a different place! ? Our fur babies and kiddo were all happy when we arrived home and all went smoothly! Best peace of mind a mama could ask for!!”

About: 🐾 What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, along with my hands-on experience in training, grooming, and behavior management. Growing up, I helped care for a Schipperke and later two Chihuahuas, where I developed a love for daily walks, grooming, and building strong relationships with dogs. As I got older, I wanted to expand my experience and raise a high-energy working breed, which led me to my Australian Shepherd, Bailey. 🐶 Since bringing Bailey home as a puppy 7 years ago, I’ve participated in obedience training, at-home training, 4-H, showing, herding, and swimming activities. I also learned how to groom her myself and developed a strong understanding of canine body language and behavior. Through raising her from puppyhood to adulthood, I learned how to recognize what dogs are communicating through their actions, energy levels, and routines. ❤️ I later welcomed a second Australian Shepherd, Willow, who has a completely different personality. She’s vocal, energetic, and more sensitive to certain environments, which taught me that every dog has unique needs and triggers. This experience helped me become adaptable and attentive to each dog’s individual personality. 🎓 In addition to caring for my own dogs, I’ve helped owners work on puppy house manners, basic obedience, and simple tricks. I’ve cared for dogs ranging from small companion breeds to larger breeds such as Labradors and German Shepherd mixes. ✨ Whether your dog needs an energetic walking partner, a patient sitter, reinforcement of good manners, or simply someone who understands their unique personality, I strive to provide care that makes them feel safe, understood, and loved. Pet care is already a major part of my daily and weekly routine. As the owner of two Australian Shepherds and a young cat, I’m used to planning my schedule around feeding times, exercise, playtime, grooming, and providing companionship. 🐶 My dogs receive daily walks and enrichment activities, and I regularly brush and groom them to keep them comfortable and healthy. My cat also gets dedicated playtime and attention throughout the day. Caring for pets isn’t something I fit in when I have spare time—it’s already an important part of my lifestyle. Because I’m accustomed to caring for animals with different personalities and energy levels, adding pet sitting, drop-in visits, or walks fits naturally into my routine. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means going on a long walk, playing fetch, providing enrichment, or simply keeping a pet company while their owner is away. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I do my best to maintain their normal routines and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether I’m caring for pets in my own home or a client’s home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I start by learning about each pet’s schedule, personality, preferences, and any special instructions. I want to know things like feeding routines, exercise needs, favorite activities, medications, areas they are allowed in, and any behaviors or triggers I should be aware of. For dogs, I provide walks, playtime, potty breaks, enrichment, and plenty of companionship. I’m experienced with both high-energy dogs, like my Australian Shepherds, and more laid-back dogs who prefer a slower pace. I also reinforce house manners and any training routines owners are already working on. For cats, I make sure they have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, playtime, and attention based on their comfort level. As a cat owner myself, I understand that some cats love to socialize while others prefer their space, and I adjust my care accordingly. I also pay close attention to a pet’s behavior and body language. After raising dogs and cats with very different personalities, I’ve learned how important it is to recognize when a pet is excited, nervous, tired, overstimulated, or simply wants affection. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own by providing a safe environment, consistent care, lots of love, and regular updates to owners so they can feel confident while they’re away.
“Our pups and home were so well taken care of during our weekend away. Came home to happy, content campers. Chelsea was communicative and shared lots of photos and updates of how everyone was while we were gone. Will definitely have her pup sit for us again!”

“Julie was a great helping looking after my puppy! He was so well taken care of and it allowed me and my family to work stress free! Would 100% rebook with Julie in the future!!”

“We LOVE how much Shalindra loves our dogs, and they love her! She keeps us thoroughly updated and sends plenty of pictures and videos so we know they’re doing well. She is someone who you know just adores spending time with dogs, which helps us know she’s enjoying her time with our pups, even if one of our dogs is insane haha. Highly recommend Shalindra if you want someone to truly enjoy hanging out with your pups and update you along the way.”

“Ravan was awesome! She took such good care of my dog while I was away, I didn’t have to worry about a thing. She took him for walks and to the park. Even my plants were watered!! I will absolutely book with her again and will recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and caring sitter.”

“Liz took wonderful care of my cat! Communication was great before and during the sit, and she provided lovely updates while I was away. Liz was very attentive and clearly cares about making pets feel comfortable!”

“Jessie was absolutely wonderful with our 4.5-month-old puppy, Zara! She’s a very active little one, and we came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup who was so excited and full of energy. Jessie went above and beyond—from thoughtfully adjusting Zara’s treats for safety, to making sure she had plenty of play and enrichment while we were away. She also kept a detailed journal of Zara’s daily activities, which we really appreciated—it was so reassuring to read through and see how she spent her time. She was incredibly respectful of our home, even taking the time to wash the sheets and towels before she left. It’s clear she genuinely cared about Zara’s well-being and comfort, and that gave us so much peace of mind while we were traveling. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Jessie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive sitter!”

“Felicia was an excellent dog sitter for our two girls! She was super respectful, loving, and took the best care of them! She left our house super clean and I will definitely be requesting sitting from her again!”

“Awesome, kind, competent care for our two cats. Julia even got on good terms with our usually grumpy, reclusive, prima-donna cat! Her daily communications were just right in substance and tone.”

“Gaby was great! Mack took to her instantly and she was amazing with him. Gave great updates throughout the stay and checked in with me when he was feeling a little off and helped through that. Very communicative. Would absolutely have her sit again!”

“Evelyn took great care of our french bulldog and cat while we were away for four nights. She kept the house nice and clean. She even put on a cozy and festive youtube wallpaper with calming music that we came home to. Would definitely recommend her to others looking for a house sitter. Thanks again Evelyn!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Brandi as our Rover dog watcher. From the start, she was communicative, reliable, and clearly passionate about caring for dogs. She took the time to understand our dog’s routine, personality, and any special needs, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. Throughout the stay, Brandi kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which we really appreciated. It was clear our dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. When we returned, everything was in great shape and our dog was relaxed and content—a true sign of excellent care. We would absolutely trust Brandi again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog sitter!”

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Brandy. She's thoughtful, kind, conscientious, and very tuned into dog energy and needs (and has a very calm energy of her own, which our dogs love!). We have two lovely yet very quirky/particular dogs; Brandy asked great questions before we left, sent photos while we were gone, checked in as needed- and also went above and beyond to take care of an unexpected situation that came up with one of our dogs. We would recommend her without hesitation to anyone in need of a trusted carer; our dogs are always thrilled to see her coming!

We have used Katelin before and were delighted that she could come back. She is super prompt with communication and very kind. She adjusted her time when our travel plans had a shift and also help set up up the house for an additional sitter to come--which is more than I expected. Very sweet and gentle with the pets, gave our girls two walks a day. We will gladly use Katelin again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred East Renton Highlands walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in East Renton Highlands maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Renton Highlands choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
