“Gaby was great! Mack took to her instantly and she was amazing with him. Gave great updates throughout the stay and checked in with me when he was feeling a little off and helped through that. Very communicative. Would absolutely have her sit again!”

“Andrew was clutch! We used him to watch our girls on the weekend that we got married and he was absolutely phenomenal. We booked him last minute and there was a rv situation and I think we were late coming back. Our girls were 100 percent safe and happy. I cannot stress how awesome he was.”

“Kim was great with our dog while we were gone for the weekend. He seemed happy, the house looked great, I received a few photos as well and Kim was quick to respond to messages. Would use Kim again :)”
“Justelle always go above and beyond. This is the second time we have had travel delays and she is accommodating and responsive when we are trying to figure out how to pivot when a flight delay keeps us from getting home when expected. Our pets are so happy and our home is tidier than when we left it. It is a welcomed sight when traveling with delays.”

“Autumn did a solid job taking care of Benny and our home while we were away! She communicated daily, sent photos, and left the house in great shape. She was also very friendly and easy to work with during our meet and greet. Overall, a positive experience and we’ll reach back out for our next trip!”

“Mindy did great watching my elderly dog and 2 cats. When I got home from vacation my house was clean and animals super happy. She was very quick to respond and check in with me through the trip. Will definitely hire again!”

“Iuliia was absolutely amazing. It was our first time with Rover so we were a bit nervous. She talked us through everything and gave great updates throughout the day. Definitely put us at ease knowing she was caring for our pups!”

“Our pups and home were so well taken care of during our weekend away. Came home to happy, content campers. Chelsea was communicative and shared lots of photos and updates of how everyone was while we were gone. Will definitely have her pup sit for us again!”

“Janine did a great job watching our two dogs. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about them. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands, and they were happy and well cared for when we got back. We’d definitely trust Janine to watch them again and highly recommend her.”

“Junbo is kind, reliable, and communicative. She took care of my dog and place for over a week. My 7 year old dog loved her from day 1. Junbo followed the care instructions I left, sent lots of photos, and was generous with her time, the long walks, and day adventures she took my dog on. On the way back, my dog looked happy and healthy, and my place was clean and well taken care of. I’m happy to have found a great sitter. Thank you for your great work, Junbo!”

“Brandi was absolutely wonderful! She had great energy, was communicative, kept me updated, and I came home to a happy dog. Highly recommend and would love to book with her again!”

“We LOVE how much Shalindra loves our dogs, and they love her! She keeps us thoroughly updated and sends plenty of pictures and videos so we know they’re doing well. She is someone who you know just adores spending time with dogs, which helps us know she’s enjoying her time with our pups, even if one of our dogs is insane haha. Highly recommend Shalindra if you want someone to truly enjoy hanging out with your pups and update you along the way.”

“Sofia did a great job watching my animals overnight! She seemed to genuinely enjoy spending time with them which I always enjoy 💗 she was communicative, on time and sent pictures! Would definitely recommend.”
“Felicia did an amazing job taking care of our 4 pets while we were gone! She is very knowledgeable and has a great demeanor around animals. She was communicative but not overly so, we were relaxed and not concerned about our babies as she was reassuring us of their safety and wellbeing and made us feel very comfortable with her presence in our home. She and her family were very sweet to our babies, bonded with them, they were very respectful of our home and overall just provided us with an outstanding service. We would definitely have Felicia house sit again in the future!”

“Iris stayed with our three Dachshunds for four days. She did an amazing job! Iris was attentive to their needs and gave them lots of snuggles which they are so used to! She sent pictures and an update every day which showed how well our babies were doing. I appreciate all the care and attention that she gave our dogs which included administering medication to one of them. I definitely plan to call on iIris again to care for our dogs! ❤️”

“Pam has been one of the best dog sitters we have had the pleasure to keep our boy Guinness happy and safe. Pam always keeps us in the loop and is amazing. We will be continuing to book Pam for as many trips we can when we cannot bring Guinness with us. Thank You, Pam and Guinness say Woof too.”

“Marcea kept my pup happy, fed and exercised. Even in the heat-wave my girl was content! Marcea kept me updated with pictures and texts throughout my trip. Much appreciated!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Issaquah
Dustin was fantastic. He stayed with my French Bulldog Mazie and my cat Dakota while I was traveling for work, and I never once worried about them. He arrived right on time, was professional from start to finish, and kept me updated throughout the stay with photos and check-ins that made being away much easier. He also left my place spotless — cleaner than I left it, honestly. Mazie and Dakota clearly took to him, and I’d book him again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

Junbo is hands down the best dog sitter we have ever used! From the very beginning, she was incredibly professional, warm, and attentive. We received constant updates, photos, and videos, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Junbo didn't just watch our dogs—she truly pampered them, making sure they got plenty of exercise with exciting trips to local parks. We came home to happy, healthy and exhausted pups. It is so rare to find someone you can trust completely with your pets, but Bo exceeded every single expectation. We will absolutely be booking Junbo again and cannot recommend them highly enough!

Diya accepted to take care of my dog very last minute as my original dog sitter didn’t show up on the day . She made me feel very comfortable to ensure I can trust her with my dog & house sitting . Great on communication also . Happy that she took care of my dog at end .

Carolina is absolutely the best! I received so many pictures of my pets and updates while we were gone. This woman should also be a pet photographer, they are some of the best pictures I’ve ever had of my fur babies! She took immaculate care of our home and provided all the love to our doggies they could have ever wished for. I think they still wish she was here. 😁

Valentina was amazing with my dog Obii, he’s generally a very timid dog with strangers but he instantly loved her and I was so impressed! Valentina is very trustworthy, kind and professional, I appreciated that she asks what Obii’s favorite things to do/play are so that she can make him happy. She sent updates with photos throughout her stay to keep me in the loop and I loved seeing the updates and photos of what they were up to and how he was doing. I’m so pleased with her watching Obii, and I 100% am going to request Valentina again for future dog sitting!

Danielle did a wonderful job taking care of my Great Pyrenees, Rosie, for the weekend!! She was respectful and followed all of our instructions for how to take care of Rosie, providing timely updates and photos! Would definitely reach out to Danielle again! 😊

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Issaquah on Rover is $76.25 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 8,033 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Issaquah. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Issaquah walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Issaquah maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Issaquah choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Issaquah. On Rover:

- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
