“Marcea did a wonderful job watching our 11 month old Labrador Rottweiler mix puppy. He is over 100 pounds and has a lot of energy! He really liked her right away and very much enjoyed her company. She handled his teenage difficulties very well and had great communication. We’ll definitely book Marcea again!”

“Georgia was great! She looked after our 1 year old golden at our place for a day. We had to leave at a hurry, and she was kind enough to figure things at our home. She kept us updated by sending pics and messages. Would like to have her sit my boy again!”

“Joslyn gave our dog so much love over the holidays while we visited family on an 11 day trip. She was great at communicating, sending pics and videos, and the house was so clean when we got back despite a rainy, muddy week and a half. She went above and beyond and came to check on him in the middle of the night when our flight was delayed. Thank you!”

“Leeah was amazing with our dog Coco. Coco requires a lot of love, attention, and play and Leeah was so good at providing that for our girl. Leeah was communicative, very respectful of our home, and arguably left it cleaner than we left her with it! Thanks again!! We will have her back anytime 😄”

“Autumn did a solid job taking care of Benny and our home while we were away! She communicated daily, sent photos, and left the house in great shape. She was also very friendly and easy to work with during our meet and greet. Overall, a positive experience and we’ll reach back out for our next trip!”

“My cat, Luna, was very well taken care of and I received multiple updates and adorable photos while I was gone for just two days. Luna is usually a bit put off with me when I leave her behind, but this time she seemed perfectly content and her usual snuggly self when I came home, thanks to Ryasa!”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since 12 years old when got my first dog. Very quickly dog owners started trusting me with walking their dogs as well and pet sitting them while owners are away. I have experience of dog sitting from 1 to 12 dogs in a household. For now I work full time, but I am in the process of transitioning to part time. I will be happy to assist over the weekend and visit your pets during business days after work. I keep animals in a safe, clean, and secure environment by following the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication, and exercise routines. I always supervise pets during visits or walks, ensure doors and leashes are secure, and prioritize their comfort and safety in any setting

“We had a wonderful experience with Lilyonna. From the start, she was very easy to communicate with, responsive, and very attentive to our dogs’ routines. Most importantly, our dogs absolutely loved her company. They were comfortable, happy, and clearly well cared for while we were away, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. We would definitely have Lilyonna sit for our dogs again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and trustworthy pet sitter.”

“Junbo did an amazing job watching our young puppy and two cats, including lots of on the fly communication and adapting with their routines. She was always responsive and helped problem solve while we were away, greatly appreciate all her care for our little ones!”

About: Privileged to have had pets my whole life. I am an attorney and primarily work remotely. I used to have an Alaskan malamute. I currently have a miniature Australian shepherd named Aero and a ragdoll named Bluey. Animals keep me sane! I work remotely and have the flexibility do home visits and/or drop in visits during the weekdays and weekends. Animals keep me sane and provide serotonin to keep me afloat. I am tidy, reliable and considerate of house rules if you need me to drop by for a home visit or house-sit. True homebody here.
“Karin was wonderful! She responded quickly, was very sweet, asked thoughtful questions, was attentive, and I came home to a happy and well cared for dog. Highly recommend and would love to book with her again.”

About: I've been caring for pets for 8 years: for neighbors, friends, and clients found on Nextdoor. I understand how much our companions mean to us, and I'm dedicated to providing the best care possible to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of your animal. I've taken care of a variety of animals - from dogs and cats, to hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish - including young and elderly. I am comfortable with walks, administering medication, and, of course, playtime! I'm a recent college graduate still looking for a full-time job. I also have a small side gig upcycling clothing, but I will have plenty of time to look after your pet. Just reach out, and we can make something work! I will care for your pet exactly as you want me to. I try to simulate their daily routine as closely as possible to build trust with them. I do not care for pets in my own home, but I am comfortable staying overnight with your pet, with daily check-ins, and anything else needed. With daily check-ins, I try to stay for AT LEAST an hour each visit, to provide sufficient company and to take care of anything I need to. Depending on the animal's needs, I will visit 2-3 times/day.
“Janine did a great job watching our two dogs. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about them. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands, and they were happy and well cared for when we got back. We’d definitely trust Janine to watch them again and highly recommend her.”

She was incredibly respectful of our home & space, and left everything in perfect condition. We appreciated her communication and updates with pictures of our pets! I would absolutely recommend her!”

Sylvanna was wonderful with Obii! She was kind, friendly, and made me feel completely comfortable leaving him in her care. You can genuinely tell she loves animals by the way she interacted with him. She was patient, attentive, and treated Obii with so much care and affection. I also really appreciated the updates while I was away and when I got back! It gave me so much peace of mind. I would definitely book with Sylvanna again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter

Marcea was amazing with my two dogs (a border collie, and a lab-shepherd-boxer mix). One of my dogs is a rescue and has some quirks that Marcea handled without breaking stride, and I felt fully confident leaving them with her for a full day sit. The dogs very quickly loved her, and throughout the day she was very communicative (sending lots of lovely pictures) and accommodating of my schedule. I will 100% be asking her to dog sit for me and my dogs again! I would recommend her to anyone, especially those of us that have quirky dogs that need a bit of extra care!
Fantastic and flexible dog walker, and overall pet sitter. Nika is easy to talk to and communicate with. Our pets loved her. She went above and beyond to take our dog to Marymoor Dog Park, one of his favorites for some fun. Also flexible - when our return flight was delayed a day, she was willing to pick up an extra day.

This past weekend, I traveled to Seattle to attend the World Cup matches. It was the first time I had ever left my little puppy with a dog sitter, so finding someone who was genuinely caring and trustworthy was incredibly important to me. I submitted a last-minute request through the Rover app, and Lu M responded almost immediately early that morning and gladly accepted. She took amazing care of my puppy and kept me updated by sending lots of photos throughout his stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I saw him .he was happy, relaxed, and clearly felt safe and comfortable with her. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. Thank you so much, Lu M, for your kindness, care, and responsibility. If I ever return to Seattle, I will definitely book with you again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and dependable dog sitter! Thank you, Lu M

Joslyn did an excellent job caring for my two French Bulldogs while I was away. She sent daily updates and pictures, which gave me great peace of mind and let me see how happy and well cared for they were. She was attentive, reliable, and clearly cared about my dogs as if they were her own. In addition to taking wonderful care of my pets, she also looked after my home and left everything clean and in perfect condition. I returned to two happy dogs and a well-maintained house. I highly recommend Joslyn to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and responsible pet sitter.

Teresa did a great job taking care of our 4 legged family member. She sent pictures, wrote about his day to us, and in a couple words - she cared. She cared about our dog-child as if he was her own, which gave us peace of mind. On our return, we found that she also took very good care of our home too.

Stacey stayed with Bodhi for 2 weeks while we were traveling. She was great with him - they immediately connected during the meet and greet (he can be shy with some people, but took to her right away). She sent pics and updates while we were traveling. Stacey was the perfect sitter for us and I cannot recommend her enough. Will definitely seek to use her services again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in West Lake Sammamish on Rover is $66.69 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 8,111 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across West Lake Sammamish. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Lake Sammamish walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Lake Sammamish maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Lake Sammamish choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
