Hi, I’m Jade. I’ve looked after dogs for friends (boarding, walks, play) and truly enjoy getting to know each one’s personality, from the curious explorer to the calm observer. My focus is always on keeping them safe, positive, and relaxed, giving them space to sniff, move, and express themselves. I’m currently studying in the Applied Animal Behavior Certificate Program at the University of Washington, which has helped me better understand how dogs think, feel, and communicate. I pay close attention to body language, energy levels, and subtle cues, and I adapt the pace and style of each visit to what you need and what your dog needs. Whether it’s playtime or quiet companionship while you’re at work or away, I’m happy to be there for your dog. I approach every dog with patience, consistency, and respect, meeting them as a fellow animal, not just a caretaker. If you’d like to meet beforehand, I’d love the opportunity (free) to get to know you and your dog(s) before the first visit.

Safety, trust & environment
When I care for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their environment and routines as familiar as possible. I take time to understand the client’s instructions and each pet’s habits, preferences, and boundaries before every visit. During drop-in visits, I make sure they’re fed according to their diet, have plenty of fresh water, and get the right amount of play or calm company depending on their need that day. For dog or cat walks, I keep the pace the way they like, giving them time and space to sniff, explore, share information with others, and enjoy being outside safely. I pay close attention to their body language, energy, and the places they want to explore, so every walk feels comfortable and rewarding. If I notice anything concerning during a walk or while at home, I’ll communicate with the clients immediately. If the client and their dog(s) or cat(s) have an established walk routine or simple training (like heeling for dogs), I’m happy to learn and continue that during walks or playtime as needed. I always leave the home as it was, follow all instructions carefully, and send thoughtful updates with photos(or videos if needed) after each visit. I also take privacy and home security seriously, and will never share personal information, addresses, or any details about the client or their homes. My goal is for both pets and their people to feel completely at ease while we spend time together.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! Jade goes above and beyond. During our meet and greet she spent time to make sure she really understood our care and walk routine for Fitz, who is still a puppy. She was more than willing to learn the training we are doing with him to help him improve his leash walking and impulse control. On walk day, she spent extra time with Fitz to ensure he was calm before and after his walk, she followed the care instructions and training to a T, and left very detailed notes sharing how the entire visit went.
Jade gives great notes and documents everything that goes on during her visit. It is awesome to read her updates afterwards and hear about the exciting things our puppy and her were up to during the visit.
Jade puts a lot of work to learn our schedule and routines for Rex and is very attentive to all the details about him. The notes left were very detailed, which we appreciate, and they gave us more insight on the interactions Rex has when we’re not around. We appreciate all the questions Jade asks and the notes she took in our initial meeting so she really has down everything we do for our puppy :)
Jue is the best cat sitter anyone can ask for. First and formost, she studys animal behavior in school so she understands cats very well! . Second, She spent an hour before the first visit to get to know my place and my two cats, and took down a long list of notes, that shows how much ownership she had for this task. Third, she is a GREAT communicator! She responds to messages/requests very quickly, and will send pictures/videos and detailed visit cards so you know 100% your cats are doing well. Last thing, she really pays attention to details, and will help you with things that you cascually missed. In my case I missed cleaning the water fountain. Even though cleaning water fountain was not in the request, she noticed the bugs flying around she just took care of it. 10/10 recommended!
We are very grateful for Jade’s thoughtfulness and care! We have two little doggies with very different personalities/energies and Jade is quite attuned to both of them. Jade is also very communicative, kind, and professional—and clearly very skilled with caring for animals.
I seriously couldn't have asked for a better cat sitter. She played with her, gave her so much love and attention-to the point where my cat prefers to play with her-, stayed with her for many hours, and made sure she wasn't lonely while I was away. I was completely off grid for over a week but Jade still sent me updates and pictures and it was so obvious how much my cat loved her; she even allowed belly rubs and that’s rare! Honestly, I think my cat had more fun on her vacation than I did on mine. Coming home to a happy, relaxed cat instead of a stressed one meant everything to me. She went so far above and beyond what I expected, and it gave me complete peace of mind while I was traveling. I would trust her with my cat again in a heartbeat and couldn't recommend her more!

Schedule
Pet care is already part of my daily routine. I take care of my cat’s needs every day - from preparing different meals to walks, playtime, hide-and-seek, grooming, and quiet petting. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan drop-in visits and walks throughout the day and I enjoy sharing my time and energy with all the animals.
