About: Hi pet parents! I’m Sophie, and I’d love to care for your furry family members in and around the Seattle/Renton area. I have over six years of experience loving and looking after both dogs and cats, and I share my home with Zed, my 6 year old Shiba Inu. I’ve cared for pups of all temperaments — Shiba Inu (not just mine!), golden retrievers, huskies, malamutes, terrier mixes, doodle mixes, and plenty of adorable “everything” mixes. About: Pets have been my life ever since I was five years old. I wasn't a caretaker at that age, but I've fostered a close connection and understanding towards pets ever since. As I got older, my responsibilities grew in kind, and I became much more involved in the day-to-day care of dogs and cats. I've been fortunate to be a part of six dogs lives, and each have brought different temperaments, attitudes, and energy levels. Four of the six were rescues, so I understand the patience and attentiveness needed to properly address their needs and quirks. I also helped raise a 10 week old puppy into adulthood, so I am very familiar with what it takes to handle the stubbornness and energy of a young pup. While it's been some time since my cat has passed away, I likewise share a similar understanding to their needs and socialization. It requires a different approach than a dog but I am happy to adapt to the pet at hand and ensure they receive the best care possible. I have returned from a term of service abroad in the Peace Corps, and am currently searching for employment as I settle back in the states. I will be living in Washington for the time being before I set off to grad school. As such, my schedule is fairly open for dog walking and check-ins. Some of my fondest memories abroad was walking around the countryside in my spare time, so I'm excited to continue that here with some new friends! I will ensure that the pets' needs are addressed in full with the client before I take on the service, and adhere to the directions advised. About: I have been doing rover on and off for the past year. However, I have many years of experience! I have had my dog Daisy since I was 12 and she is now turning 10!!. In that time I have put a lot of work into training her and making sure she has enough mental and physical. About: I am a BIG animal lover & will be around pets any chance I can get! Luckily, I get to do this because I dog-sit 4 times a week for a beautiful Black German Shepherd named Kira + other pets I am lucky to watch throughout the seasons. I am very comfortable with big dogs who have LOTS of energy, or even dogs or cats who are older and just want someone to cuddle with them. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend! I can do pet care any day at any time! I currently work remotely (on my own hours) & do school part time, so I have lots of flexibility. Garrett was the greatest! A real lifesaver when I dog sitting for a neighbor.. due to mobility issues I wasn’t able to do long walks like Riley needed.. enter Garrett. He was great in communication and punctual for every walk. He was patience with me and all my questions. Riley also had the best time during every walk. I’m so happy I found Natalia and Miguel! They’ve been wonderful with my Gunner. He’s a very high-energy Weimaraner and can definitely be a handful at times, but they’ve been so patient, attentive, and caring with him. Communication has also been great, and I really appreciate the updates and pictures while I’m at work. It gives me peace of mind knowing Gunner is getting exercise, attention, and is being well taken care of while I’m away. Molly is punctual, connected easily and quickly with my boy, and is easy to communicate and work with. She hasn't had any issues walking my Irish Wolfhound, so she can be trusted to handle giant breed dogs. Super happy with her services so far and plan to continue working with her.

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
