When I was younger, I trained my German Shepherd puppy to master all her tricks, and when she got older and became incontinent due to her elderly age, I provided hands-on care—changing her diapers, cleaning up after her, and helping her with stairs and jumps she couldn’t manage anymore. It was heartbreaking, but she taught me that we have to enjoy every moment with our babies while we can. I’m typically the go-to person for friends and family when they need someone to look after their animals while they’re away— I think it’s because they know I'll be equally obsessed and caring with their pet as they are. Important Notes & Safety Requirements Because we have a resident dog and a young child, the safety and comfort of everyone in our home is our top priority. We require a mandatory Meet & Greet prior to finalizing any stay to ensure: 1. Your dog is friendly and comfortable around young children. 2. Our dogs get along well and play nicely together. 3. Your dog is fully crate-trained or comfortable relaxing indoors. I have a 1 year old corgi and a 2 year old human. Mornings are often spent outside with a walk to the park or time in the yard. After lunch consists of naps by both the toddler and dog. Afternoons are varied with more outside time depending on weather and dog will get a second evening walk after dinner. Yard time is typically when we are outside together unless requested by the dog. My corgi often asks to go outside to chase birds or squirrels. In my home your dog will be treated like my own: plenty of pets and cuddles and play. Just please be ok with a toddler interacting with you dog!
