“My wife, Dongmei, and I recently boarded our Golden Retriever, Sagan, with Janessa for an overnight stay. Sagan just turned one year old, and this was the first time we had ever left him with someone other than family, so we were naturally a little nervous. We couldn't have been happier with the experience. Janessa took great care of Sagan and made him feel right at home. It was clear he had a fantastic time playing with Janessa's dogs and the other dogs she was boarding. When we picked him up the next morning, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly comfortable in her care. The biggest sign of how much fun he had came afterward. As soon as he got in the car, he completely crashed from all the excitement and activity. Once we got home, he slept for several hours and seemed incredibly content. Any Golden Retriever owner knows that's usually the sign of a very good day. Janessa was friendly, professional, and gave us confidence that Sagan was in great hands. In fact, we felt so good about the experience that we've already booked her to care for Sagan for two weeks while we travel to China later this summer. We're grateful to have found Janessa and her family and look forward to having Sagan stay with them again. “Kristen did an absolutely wonderful job house sitting with my 2 high-energy kittens and my grumpy senior cat over a 3-day period. She introduced herself gently and calmly to each cat during our meet and greet and listened to their queues, asked good questions, and was friendly and enthusiastic. When we were on our trip, she sent frequent pictures and updates, talked about when the cats were eating, and gave my old sick cat her medicine. I can tell from the pics that all of the cats liked Kristen and she was playing with the kittens, and the old cat was letting Kristen pet her and letting her know when she was hungry. About: I really believe the world is better with animals, and they deserve nothing but love—because that’s all they have to give us. I know every dog requires different treatment and attention, and every animal is unique. My husband Marcus and I are hardworking, kind, and huge animal lovers with lots of love to give. We both enjoy being outdoors and are happy to stop by your house to give your pet some food, scratchies, and snuggles—or take them out for fresh air, whether that’s throwing a ball or taking your older little guy on a slow, senior-friendly stroll. I grew up surrounded by animals and animal lovers. When I was younger, I trained my German Shepherd puppy to master all her tricks, and when she got older and became incontinent due to her elderly age, I provided hands-on care—changing her diapers, cleaning up after her, and helping her with stairs and jumps she couldn’t manage anymore. It was heartbreaking, but she taught me that we have to enjoy every moment with our babies while we can. I’m typically the go-to person for friends and family when they need someone to look after their animals while they’re away— I think it’s because they know I'll be equally obsessed and caring with their pet as they are. I take pride in providing loving, responsible care that feels just like home. I am a newly retired professional dancer. My days as of now are wide open as I make this transition into the next phase of my life! Unfortunately, my apartment isn’t suitable for overnight stays, so I’m currently offering only day visits and walks. When I go to a client's house, I make sure doors, windows, and gates are closed and watch out for things pets might get into—like plants, small objects, or foods that aren’t good for them. Hazardous stuff like cleaning products or meds are kept out of reach. I’ll never let a dog off-leash unless it’s in a securely fenced area because I understand how one wrong move can lead to a lost or hurt animal.

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong dog lover who works part-time from home while raising my two favorite little ones: my 2-year-old son and our playful 1-year-old female Corgi. Because my days are centered around staying home and keeping my own duo active and happy, I have plenty of time and love to dedicate to your pup. When your dog stays with us, they truly become a part of our family. I’ve been caring for dogs in some capacity since I was 14 years old—back when "babysitting" almost always meant pet sitting, too! As an adult, I spent over 13 wonderful years caring for a bonded pair of rescue dogs. One of them had been returned to the shelter three times before he found me; I was his last hope, and to this day, I say he was the best 50 bucks I ever spent. Having them for their entire lives gave me deep experience with a wide spectrum of canine needs, and I bring that same patience, commitment, and understanding to every pet I watch. I have a 1 year old corgi and a 2 year old human. Mornings are often spent outside with a walk to the park or time in the yard. After lunch consists of naps by both the toddler and dog. Afternoons are varied with more outside time depending on weather and dog will get a second evening walk after dinner. Yard time is typically when we are outside together unless requested by the dog. My corgi often asks to go outside to chase birds or squirrels. In my home your dog will be treated like my own: plenty of pets and cuddles and play. Just please be ok with a toddler interacting with you dog!

“My wife, Dongmei, and I recently boarded our Golden Retriever, Sagan, with Janessa for an overnight stay. Sagan just turned one year old, and this was the first time we had ever left him with someone other than family, so we were naturally a little nervous. We couldn't have been happier with the experience. Janessa took great care of Sagan and made him feel right at home. It was clear he had a fantastic time playing with Janessa's dogs and the other dogs she was boarding. When we picked him up the next morning, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly comfortable in her care. The biggest sign of how much fun he had came afterward. As soon as he got in the car, he completely crashed from all the excitement and activity. Once we got home, he slept for several hours and seemed incredibly content. Any Golden Retriever owner knows that's usually the sign of a very good day. Janessa was friendly, professional, and gave us confidence that Sagan was in great hands. In fact, we felt so good about the experience that we've already booked her to care for Sagan for two weeks while we travel to China later this summer. We're grateful to have found Janessa and her family and look forward to having Sagan stay with them again. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and dog-loving sitter.”

“Pros: Ginny seemed to have a great time, and Yuliia seems to really like dogs and treat them well. She is very responsive to messages which is great. We appreciated her daily photos/videos, and she followed our instructions. She was agreeable to a meet & greet beforehand. Our dog has never been with a cat, so she even had a friend watch her cat during the stay to accommodate our dog, which was very kind. Cons: Communication was tricky as English is not her first language. Communication (possibly cultural differences?) was an issue especially with pickup and dropoff. Yuliia seemed to have an inconsistent work schedule and changed the time for dropoff and pickup at the last minute, which was confusing and stressful. At pickup, she was at work and none of my dog’s items were packed, resulting in us leaving some items by accident and needing to schedule another time just to pick them up. Her teenage son was the one who met us at pickup and her friend during pickup of the items, so she was actually not there at all either time. Our dog did seem happy, so overall the stay went well; I just would hope there is better communication next time.”
