“This was Emma's first time with Stanley and Victoria. Stanley was very prompt replying to my request for short notice day care and even spent time on New Year's Day for a short meet and greet. Emma was happily tired from walks and playing with other dogs and very relaxed when I took her home. It's great to be able to leave Emma in good hands with Stanley and Victoria.”

“Judy made our dog Sofia both welcome and comfortable. Sofia took advantage of the hospitality, it seems, taking over the ottoman and suggesting that what she REALLY needed was a full-time groomer. We received regular updates and picked up a happy and healthy dog.”

“Marina and Richard are amazing! I have left my 8 week old pup with them several times and will continue to send her weekly. They are so consistent and thorough in the quality of care they provide. The family is very loving and they go above and beyond- taking my dog to the park, feeding, playing, and snuggling with her. I also get a ton of amazing photos. I feel a huge sense of relief when I drop off my pup knowing she will be well cared for and loved.”

“Butters came back happy and tired. They kept us informed with a lot of pictures and videos. They had multiple dogs at the place which i think makes it fun ! they took good care of him”

“Thank you so much Lilia and fam for watching Gunner. It can be hard leaving him, but knowing he was safe, loved, and kept busy made all the difference. I could tell he had an amazing day because he came home happy and content. We appreciate you!”

About: I treat each pup like part of the family—whether that means sticking closely to your dog’s routine, giving extra cuddles, or providing gentle care for seniors or high-energy playtime for puppies. My home is safe, calm, and dog-friendly, with plenty of room to relax or play. I send regular updates and photos, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pup is in loving hands. As a retiree, pet care is truly a part of my everyday life—and something I genuinely enjoy. Since I’m home full-time, your dog will never be left alone for long periods and will receive constant attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. My daily routine is built around keeping dogs happy and comfortable, from morning walks and playtime to relaxed afternoons and evening cuddles. I keep a calm, quiet home where dogs can feel safe and relaxed, and I’m always available for feeding, potty breaks, or just spending quality time with them. When pets stay in my home, I treat them like one of the family. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible—including feeding schedules, walk times, play habits, and bedtime routines—to help them feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed. My home is clean, quiet, and dog-friendly, with plenty of space for lounging, supervised playtime, and cozy naps. I give each dog plenty of personal attention throughout the day, whether that means going for walks, playing fetch, or just offering a warm lap to curl up on. If your dog needs medication, special meals, or extra care (like for puppies or seniors), I handle it all with patience and attention to detail. I also keep pet parents updated with regular messages and photos, so you can rest easy knowing your pup is in good hands.
“Jay & Xinyu asked great questions at our Meet-and-Greet so that they could take the best care of Coco. They did a wonderful job making our young dog with separation anxiety feel comfortable during his stay and sent us plenty of photos so that we knew he was well taken care of.”

“Ellen and Larry are wonderful people! Our dogs enjoyed so much with them we could see and also, we human had a fun chat with them! They are very welcoming. Thank you! We will see you next time.”

About: I have hands-on experience helping my mom with her dog rescue nonprofit, where I helped transport and foster dogs. This gave me experience caring for dogs with different personalities, needs, and backgrounds. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I’m happy to work around each pet’s routine, including walks, playtime, meals, and plenty of companionship. I live alone with no personal pets, so your pet can have my full attention in a calm and comfortable environment. I’m active and have easy access to nearby trails for walks and exercise. I also live in a quiet, friendly condo neighborhood, making it a safe and relaxing place for pets to stay. I’ll make sure each pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and care based on their individual needs and routine.
“WOW, Alexandria loves dogs! She sent potty, water and video updates. Alexandria tried to give her- her snacks and offered a tuna alternative for a pup party. Can't wait for Dot's next visit 😊!”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care Quinten provided for my dog Penny. From the moment we met, it was clear they had a genuine love for animals. They kept me updated with daily photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My pet was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when I returned. I highly recommend Quinten to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate sitter!”

“Myra (and Ulysses) took wonderful care of Sherman! She sent lots of pictures and updates during the day. Her space is really nice with a huge fenced yard and lots of places to drink water and lots of interesting things to look at and sniff! She will be watching Sherman for a longer period in a few weeks and I feel so confident now in her care of Sherman! ❤️”

“Priya and her spouse were so kind, responsive and playful with our pups. We received multiple updates and they asked many questions to make sure our pups had the best time. Book with confidence!”

“She did an amazing job with our dog! She was very flexible and able to take him on last minute. She kept us updated on how he was doing and very responsive to us through his time there. If we lived locally, we definitely would be back.”

“Jacklyn was great! Sent lots of (very cute!) pictures, walked McCoy, and made sure he got along with her own dog. McCoy was always happy to see her (and her dog) when we dropped him off. Jacklyn was also very responsive to us (e.g. when we had to modify our arrival/pick up time) which made our lives very easy.”

About: I’ve had a dog in my house for most of my life. I’ve had very small dogs and giant breed dogs. The largest was 110 pounds. I have volunteered with the ASPCA in the Bay Area. I also have volunteered for many years at the Humane Society in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as well I’m a huge dog lovers that make our own food. There are also two parks within walking distance from our house. So when your pet stays with me, I will be able to take them to an off leash area multiple times a day. I am an early risers. Your pet will be at the dog park before 6 AM. We play at the dog park that early and take care of our potties. After that, we will come back home, and have our breakfast. The rest of the morning is watching me and my partner clean up and prepare for the day. A mid afternoon break to go back to the park and play off leash. If the park is full, I usually just take a long walk. I try to make sure that they get a couple long walks a week, just so they can get their sniffing in. In the evening, a much longer trip to the park to play. I generally feed dinner around 5 PM. Then cuddling and hanging out for the rest of the evening. I am usually in bed before 10 o’clock I will make sure that all small items that could be chewed up by animals is kept put up. I have many chew toys for the to play with to encourage playing with toys versus destroying property.
About: I provide reliable and attentive care for pets, treating each one with the same love and respect I give my own. I have owned dogs my whole life, growing up with boxers, and later adopting two retired racing greyhounds after moving out on my own. Since then, I’ve raised three puppies, each with unique personalities and training needs. I use a balanced training method, understanding that no single approach works for every dog. I meet dogs where they are, offering patience, consistency, and compassion to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and well-cared for. I also participate in dog sports and showing dogs, which has deepened my knowledge and appreciation for canine care and behavior. In addition, I’m well-versed in dog first aid and highly observant when it comes to monitoring health, safety, and overall well-being. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your companion is in capable and caring hands. As a stay-at-home dog mom, I have plenty of time and flexibility to dedicate to caring for your pet. I’m able to provide them with one-on-one attention throughout the day, ensuring they feel loved, engaged, and never lonely while you’re away. I have a small, fully fenced 6-foot backyard and a spacious home to comfortably host your pet. I live in a quiet neighborhood with access to a nearby 2-acre property where I can take dogs to stretch their legs and enjoy some extra exercise. I share my home with five well-behaved dogs who are accustomed to welcoming new dogs into the household. My home is thoughtfully set up with multiple baby gates and crates, allowing me to manage the environment safely if needed. While staying with me, your dog will have free access in and out of the backyard, ensuring plenty of fresh air, playtime, and comfort throughout their visit.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cascade Fairwood
We left our fur baby with Leslie for one day to get him accustomed and ready for his 1-week boarding. Leslie took such good care of him and sent lots of photos and videos. Her home is very welcoming and safe. We feel much better now knowing Mochi will be staying with Leslie.

Jay & Xinyu asked great questions at our Meet-and-Greet so that they could take the best care of Coco. They did a wonderful job making our young dog with separation anxiety feel comfortable during his stay and sent us plenty of photos so that we knew he was well taken care of.

Simone was wonderful! Very welcoming environment for Maple 😊. I really appreciate how upfront and real Simone is. She must of kept my dog entertained because she is home worn out and tired after I picked her up after work! Highly recommend if you’re in the area looking for a genuine, respectful and understanding sitter!

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
